We used Joseph Daniele Landscaping to design and install our landscaping after the exterior of our home was redone We met with Joseph and described the style we wanted. We wanted a “beach relaxed look” -low maintenance, clean and some color. He translated our ideas into a beautiful design plan and provided a detailed listing of the plants he would use. He and his team were punctual and professional They installed a sprinkler system, sod and a beautiful garden. Dealing with him was wonderful and stress free I definitely recommend him

Recent purchased a home and need yard work, LOTS of shrubs/bushes and ivy needed to be removed. Joe was professional and was very consultative and wasn’t just a yes man.

He also helped by offering a French drain / drywall to alleviate the hydrostatic pressure I get on my foundation and it should prevent water pooling up on side of home.

Overall great experience and will have him continue the work and maintenance

Joseph redid my front landscaping for me, since mostly everything died from a flood the previous December. Since it was late in the season, and some weather obstacles, Joseph managed to squeeze my job in. His initial rendering was beautiful , but above my budget and also, I felt too much for someone who doesn’t have a green thumb. He worked with me to make changes, still keeping his designer vision, and my goal alive! The results are amazing and I can’t wait to see it all come to real life in the spring. (I hope I don’t screw it up)!! To add, there were some rules and regulations that had to be followed posed by the town I live in. Joseph was responsible in making sure he was ticked and tied, since of course, a neighbor tried to catch him at fault! Sorry neighbor, not today!

We hired Joe Daniele for a large residential landscape design and install project.
Joe was very knowledgeable and offered great ideas and answered all of our questions about many different types of plants/bushes.
His initial design was fantastic and needed very little tweaking, but he was open to our opinions and happily made changes to accommodate.
Our project incorporated nearly 450 plants/bushes/trees and was completed over several days last season.
Over the winter only six pieces didn’t survive and Joe was back this week to replace them and to make minor adjustments to make it all perfect.
Quality work, easy to work with. Highly recommend.

We contacted Joey to do our landscaping after we finished the outside of our house. Joey is an absolute pleasure to work with and extremely professional. He came over to give us an estimate and provided us with an unbelievable design/rendering to give us a real feel for what everything would look like. The final product was even better than the drawing and came out amazing. He and his crews attention to detail was incredible. Joe and his team did an incredible job and we are so happy with his work. He took the time to listen to our concerns and wishes. He incorporated the plants and flowers I requested effortlessly into his design. He worked with us to come up with a design that we loved. Most impressive was the 1.5 days it took to complete what seemed to be a lot of work. We needed sod in much of our yard and he was incredibly honest with cost including decreasing the cost by not using sod in the front yard where it was not necessary. He works with you and wants you to be happy (and that is felt with every interaction). I worked with Joseph to redo our front landscaping. He listened to what we were looking for and worked with us to make it happen. From the initial design to the day of install he was very professional. Joseph and his team did a great job and the front of my house looks beautiful. A couple days after install I had a question about one of the trees he planted and he was very responsive. Overall I would recommend him and his team to anyone, we are very happy!

I hired Joseph Daniele Landscaping for regular lawn maintenance and for ideas on adding landscaping to our house. Joseph took pictures of the house and soon returned with great ideas and computer generated pictures of what it would look like. After some discussion with my wife, they settled on what was to be done. Yesterday, Joseph and two workers came at 830am and over the course of about 5 hours transformed the front lawn into a beautifully landscaped area. In addition they installed a flowell drainage system and adjusted my sprinkler system to provide irrigation for the new trees, plants and flowers. They did a great job, very clean. We are completely satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them.

Had our front lawn completely dug up, added a sprinkler system, shrubs and flower beds cleaned up. It was a big job. Joe and his crew were great. They worked together as if they could read each others’ minds. I highly recommend them.

RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Landscaping sketches should accurately reflect the size of the plants/trees that will be planted, 2) If there are issues with the work after completion and the payment has already been made, Mr. Daniele should address the issues in a timely fashion, not three seasons later, 3) Making the customer happy should always be a priority.

I did my research on about three to four different landscape designers and while Mr. Daniele was one of the more expensive ones, I decided to go with him because his reviews were good and he provided a sketch of the end product and we were very pleased with the plan. The beginning of the process was smooth. Mr. Daniele was responsive and seemed knowledgeable and experienced with landscaping. The concerns started to come about the day he arrived with the plants. Some of the plants were not in the best condition, but he assured us they would bloom again before the end of the season, in which they did. But, also it was evident he was attempting to make the most profit by purchasing smaller plants (or much younger) than what was shown in the sketch. After completing his work, I noticed one of the trees planted is not straight, another tree planted is not the one that was listed in the contract, and 10 of the plants are either dying or dead. The job cost $3,400 so I expected to be completely satisfied. I reached out to Mr. Daniel and he mentioned the plants were dying due to lack of water. This is false as one of the dying plants is a few inches away from a sprinkler and all sprinkler heads were adjusted to provide adequate water for the plants. He then said he would replace the plants, but I would have to wait until spring of 2020 (as per a policy that was not noted in the contract). I do not believe it is fair to pay a few thousands of dollars for a landscaping project and have to wait almost a year for it to be properly completed. Also, Mr. Daniele would not mention anything about the slanted tree or the tree that was quoted in the contract but not delivered. I am guessing we would have to wait until the spring for those as well. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the outcome of the project and regret not going with another company.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: I can understand the difficulties with drawing the exact size of the plant, but if it is hand drawn, I don’t see why you can’t simply draw a smaller version of the plant to better match what the completed project will actually look like. A photo of the shrubs you installed is attached. I also attached a photo of your sketch. After the comparison between the two photos, it’s obvious there was a need for you to add the two extra shrubs to make it look half decent. Also attached is your contract terms, which notes the warranty but does not mention any policy noting plant replacements will not happen until spring of the following year. And again you are failing to speak on correcting the tree you planted at a slant or the tree you planted instead of what was listed in the contract. “Sorry we could not please you” is not an adequate response to a customer who paid $3,400 for an incomplete unsatisfactory job.

Joseph Daniele Landscape Design did a fantastic job with our landscaping design! Joseph was professional, helpful, friendly and patient when it came to all things involved in the process. The work was completed in one day and his team was just as wonderful as he is. Such attention to detail and they go out of their way to make sure everything is just right.
