If you don’t mind a poor masonry job with sloppy work and inferior we, go ahead and hire this contractor. He installed a concrete patio for us one year ago at the cost of almost $14,000. Less than one year later, multiple cracks are appearing and the patio was never graded properly. Water runs towards towards the house when it rains and multiple low spots collect water when it rains. As I write this, I have a another contractor breaking up the patio and installing a new one…the way it should have been done originally. We’re finding that he never installed “any” rebar in the concrete, didn’t put enough concrete in some places, never cut “expansion joints and left a mess behind. It is costing us $16,000 to have the old patio demolished and a new one “properly and professionally installed. I would give this guy even a one star rat but had to because there was no other option. We sued him in Small Claims Court and were awarded $5,000. Verdict against him which is the maximum you can recover in the court. He has refused to pay us a nickel and refused to accept subpoenas that were delivered to him. This business is a joke and he doesn’t know a thing about installing concrete patios. We are investigating other ways in which this person can be dealt with. He is a con artist. If you have had experience with this guy before, direct message me and, perhaps together, we can let others know reasons not to hire him. Photos will follow once my new patio is completed.
