Sol de primavera landscaping has provided wonderful care of our lawn and greenery since 2016. We have been very happy with their service. They do it all from routine lawn care to spring and winter clean ups to tree pruning. They even helped us plant arborvitae trees in our back yard for privacy. They also were able to help improve the drainage of water in our lawn so that we wouldn’t have flooding in our basement. Would highly recommend!

Peter was very helpful and patient while working with me to improve the landscaping in front of my home. He was very hands-on and was there during the installation process as well. I’m happy with the result, and also glad knowing they will back up their work if I should have problems with any of the plants moving forward.

We hired Thomas Cahill as our Landscape Designer. Tom drew up a perfect plan for our small backyard and incorporated all the details we asked for! Peter Hogarty designed the entire area and was onsite the entire team while his team installed the material.

I would highly recommend working with Peter and Hicks for your home or garden - definitely a great experience and we are incredibly happy with the outcome.

I used Hicks Landscaping to redo my entire backyard with a pool. They were tremendously knowledgeable about town regulations (esp because I had electric wires running thru the middle of my yard). They designed my entire backyard ……worked with the pool company, plumbers, electricians and masons to get everything done as planned in a timely manner. They always kept me up to date and did an awesome job landscaping around my pool. Peter Hogarty was my primary contact and I would highly recommend him for any backyard projects.

It was Anthony’s well thought out and inspiring design that gave us the confidence to go with Hicks. He is one of Hick’s several designers. His design complimented the architect of the house and also met my expectation of a lush green and low maintenance garden that would remain interesting thru out each season of the year. We were impressed by the quality and variety of plants offered by Hicks. The staffs who planted the garden were super professional and attentive to details. It was a pleasant experience from design to completion.

It was real pleasure to do business with Hicks Nurseries in Westbury!! All of the personnel were helpful as I selected & purchased trees to provide a privacy barrier on my property. William Winiecki, the General Manager was invaluable. He visited my home and was able to advise me regarding the placement and watering of the trees, and, also what additional watering tools I needed. The landscapers worked in sweltering heat to complete the planting of the trees - which look lovely. Kudos to Hicks!!

So we heard so much about Hicks Nursery for years and when we moved to the neighborhood we tried them to landscape our new house. It was we blank canvas as we had removed what was previously there. Ken was our designer and he was wonderful! He worked with our busy schedule and was flexible. He designed the space and came to the house to present it to us. He gave us several options of how to implement it as we wanted to do it in stages and he really listened to exactly what we wanted. He presented the design to us and accompanied the design with a packet of photos of what each plant looked like in bloom so that we could envision the final product. This was very important to us because we found it hard to envision how it would look. He explained the reasoning behind the choice of each plant. He designed the space so it would have some color for most of the year honoring our request for as much color as possible. They completed everything we wanted in one day. He followed up to make sure we were pleased and had been satisfied. We look forward to implementing the next stage in the Spring. We are thrilled with the results so far. It will need to grow in of course (that was part of the design) and we will see the full product over the seasons as well. We are charmed by our new garden and can’t wait to see the changes as it grows!
Part two - Spring 2024 - We divided our landscaping into two parts doing the front of the house first and then the back of the house the following Spring. Wow I couldn’t be happier. We told Ken, our landscape designer, that we wanted continuous color in our garden especially in the back where we intended to spend time outdoors enjoying it. He designed it that way, again showing us photos of what the plants would look like when they matured. It was truly delightful to watch the very green plants they planted grow so quickly and blossom with gorgeous flowers. I am stunned at how long the flower carpet pink roses bloom and rebloom covering the area with beautiful flowers. I now have a routine that I go outside each day to enjoy my beautiful garden and see the amazing changes that take place. Our limelight hydrangeas now make a beautiful centerpiece for our backyard. I look forward to watching my garden grow more and more lush as the days, weeks and months pass. Thank you Hicks (especially Ken) for my lovely garden!

Hicks was excellent in helping me choose the correct plants for my project. They made the instillation process easy. Instillation was quick and efficient. Workers were polite and left the work area clean. We are delighted with what Hicks did and highly recommend their services.

We needed some tall dead bushes removed from a 15 foot wide strip in the backyard. The staff at Hicks assisted us with picking out shrubs that were suitable for our needs. A manager came to our house and inspected the site and made further helpful suggestions. The crew that did the actual removal and planting arrived on time and was experienced and careful. They asked for my approval at several critical times before proceeding. they did a truly professional job an cleaned upwhen finished. I couldn't be happier with the results and the way that the Hicks employees did their job.
