General Contractor reviews in White Plains, New York

Called and spoke to Theo, the son apparently. Nice conversation about the small job I had and was looking for an estimate. Never responded back to my texts and basically ghosted, instead of saying he wasn’t interested or too busy, etc. Not professional at all.

I called Tappan Z for some tile work in one of our bathrooms and they did a outstanding job. They left the area clean and you couldn’t even tell they were there at all. I will definitely be calling them for more work

Tapped Z Home Improvement did a fantastic job on my bathroom remodel. The work was professional and thorough with attention to detail.

Excellent renovation! My home is so lovely especially with the professional care of Tappan Zee Home Improvements ... They are Master craftsmen indeed.

Jose and Theo did an outstanding job , painting six rooms, removing some difficult wallpaper and in record time but with great care and excellent results. We couldn’t have asked for a better job!

These guys do excellent work. They helped to level a concrete wall and hang a huge mirror in my home gym. They are very professional, quick to respond, and do high quality work. Highly recommended!!

I have been working with Tappan for over a decade on my own personal home projects as well as on my architectural business projects and have never been disappointed. Their attention to detail, cleanliness and timeliness is unrivaled.

Tappan Z did a great job installing a bathroom exhaust fan in a tight space. They were friendly and communicative, and their price was competitive.

Stellar company! Negotiations were smooth and Theophilo and Rafael and the whole team were extremely accommodating, kind and a pleasure to work with. Job went better than expected with the utmost precision and care. This company exceeded above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommended!

Jose and Theo comprise my "Go To" renovation team! They renovated the kitchen in my first condo, the kitchen and bathroom in my co-op, and completely spruced up my second condo. On time, on budget, clean, and done right the first time. You can't ask for more. Love them much ❣👍!

Jose and Theophilo are very helpful, hard working and deliver quality work. They look at the job in totality to see how they can leave your house in even better condition than when they started. They are wonderful to work with. They are so patient, willing to answer a million questions to be sure you are clear as to what the project needs and the best approach. They are a pleasure to work with.

Jose and his son Theo are the ultimate contracting professionals. Whether it be painting, building, or any other type of contracting needs, they are the gentlemen to call. They are extremely professional, meticulous and offer extremely competitive and fair pricing. They arrived on time and completed all work to the highest level. I cannot thank them enough for all of their assistance, support and kindness. I recommend them highly to anyone who needs any type of contracting work done in an efficient, cost-effective and exemplary manner.

I called Jose to replace my toilet. I purchased the replacement from HD. Jose and Theo arrived on time and got to work. They were prepared with all the things needed to complete the job and was done in little over an hour. In that time, they performed an amazing and clean job. They moved the old toilet outside for me and Jose went the extra mile to patch a hole that was located on the wall behind the toilet. So far I have used them three times and each time I am completely satisfied with the results.

Finding a good contractor is rare these days. Theo and his crew are among the best at what they do. Fair pricing and excellent work transformed my old Brady bunch bathroom into a modern masterpiece of marble. I could say that I highly recommend them but that would be an understatement.

We’ve used Theo and team for a few projects now and will continue to use them for all home repair and construction projects. The craftsmanship and professionalism of their work is incredible and Theo provides a quick respond to every question and request I’ve had.
