Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Roto-Rooter services was quick, professional and knowledgeable about our sewer problem. Pedro was very professional, he explained everything along the way, gave us a quote before he started and made recommendations to prevent future problems, he also cleaned up before leaving. I must also mention I called late evening and Pedro came within 1hr. The next day they sent a tech with a camera that goes through the entire line and showed us all the areas that is creating our issues. I would definitely recommend this company.

The advertise free estimate but needed to charge me $630 to snake the pipe before they can use the camera to see the problem. When they used the camera they got to where the clog was and told me I need a new house trap but would not go into the crawl space to try and clear the clog. Told be I needed new pipes, which I do since it's old cast iron. Told me the job would be $8300. Then manager walks back, looked at a toilet elbow and told me it would be an additional $1400 to because the toilet elbow is lead and needs to get changed too. $9700!!! I was desperate at the time and considered it. I then went to home depot and rented an automatic snake, like they had, for $100. I went into the crawl space and unclogged the trap myself. Their pitch was, we are expensive but we will do it right. The only thing good about them is that they can respond very quickly but will take advantage of the situation. I lost out on $630 plus tax and had to do the work myself. I have the pipe replacement scheduled with a local plumber for $1400 to replace old pipes and another $800 to replace the junctions which include the toilet elbow. Throw your money away if you want, but I won't. I can only image the people who fell victim to their predatory pricing. This should be illegal.
