4 or 5 years ago, owner Jimmy Johnson worked with me in replacing a 35 year old AC unit with an upsized heat pump. The unit needed to be integrated with the 35 year old semi-homemade solar hot air system that was showing its age. Other contractors were less interested in getting off the beaten path to take this assignment. Jimmy didn't hesitate and even installed a bypass damper system that proved fool proof when my aging system malfunctioned. Fast forward about 5 years and the 40 year old solar system finally bit the dust. I once again contacted Jimmy to come in and gut the old system and make the significant ductwork changes that resulted, along with adding electric backup heat strips to the heat pump. Once again Jimmy showed his versatility in doing significant mods to the metal ducts, reusing a significant amount of the no longer needed ducts to complete the job. I am very pleased with the results and the system works better than expected.
