H & S Roofing & Gutter Company

I called H&R Roofing about a water leak around a gas vent pipe above my roof. Derek McMillion with H&S Roofing came out to give me a repair estimate, but he took care of the problem on the spot. The vent pipe on this 3 year old house had never been property sealed. Derek was prompt and very professional. He explained to me exactly what he found and what he was going to do to correct the problem, as I watched from the ground. I was very pleased with the result. I, and other members of my family have used H&S Roofing for over 20 years, and I have always found them to be very professional and very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and other contacts.

Terrible company that is not trustworthy or truthful. Installed gutters on my home and did not find problem with original roof which resulted in damage. Three years later rotten decking and not willing to make it right. Sad thing is just because a business has been around for 100 years it doesn't mean anything this day and time. I had to reach out to them for over a month to even get a response. Called and even stopped by their physical location to no prevail, until I spoke to sales manager. He was responsive but yelled at me when I told him they should pay for full repairs. I took it upon myself to have damages repaired and not bother with this horrible company ever again. Lessons learned. Do yourself a favor and find a company with higher ratings. A roofing company with 4.4 is not good.

I was concerned about a few spots that I thought could be leaks. H & S had a wait time (because they are so popular) until they could send someone out to check. They said they would call if there was a cancellation, and sure enough, they did! Billy came out. He was on time, friendly, and professional. He was able to quickly assess two areas as being unrelated to roof leaks. He comprehensively investigated the third area, going up into the attic, and then outside on the roof. He didn't feel there was any issue with the roof, although he was nice enough to fix a small area with a nail that needed attention. His advice was to keep a watch on the area on the ceiling over the next several rains, and see if it grows. He was reassuring about the roof in general, pointing out that it had normal aging, but nothing in need of immediate attention. He didn't try to scare me into doing anything. It is wonderful to have a local business such as H & S - that is skilled, trustworthy and reliable. And most of all, run with integrity!
