Phil and his team are awesome! Phil was great at giving me updates constantly of where they are at with permits and project. Tony and Shane work hard and did an amazing job on my remodel! They get started on my master bath soon and can't wait to see the end result! Also I got pay them through PayPal which was pretty convenient.

We are so impressed with the level of professionalism and craftsmanship. Philip was very responsive and easy to work with. They removed a wall in a room we have painted in flat white. Not so much as a finger print was left on the remaining walls! This is the third home remodel I’ve been through and I have never seen anyone work as clean as Ed, the gentlemen who performed the work. Occasionally it can be uncomfortable having work done while home with young children but Ed was pleasant and professional. We have a major kitchen remodel ahead of us and feel a huge sense of relief knowing we have a contractor we can trust.

Phillip Oddo is great but the most impressive thing about my family's experience with Closer Look GC is the consistency with which they deliver. We had flooring work that needed to be done and when team opened up a wall, they found extensive mold. Aside from handling the unforeseen repairs with expertise and the highest levels of craftsmanship, each person on the Closer Look staff took the time to assuage and reassure us that we were in safe hands. Closer Look General Contracting provided excellent professional work for us. We had masonite siding replaced on 30% of our house, the entire house repainted in a new color (to include trim work) and new gutters installed with them. There were 3 different crews that were sent out to complete each task. All of the crews were professional in demeanor, kind, respectful and cleaned up all of the debris that was left behind. It has been a long time since we last hired a contractor where the crews actually showed up on time and did their job efficiently. Phillip is the owner of the company and he traveled to our house every day that he had crew members here, in order to check in on their work. Before the project was completed, we did a walk-through to address any areas of possible concern or areas of touch-up. We are 100% satisfied with the work that has been completed and would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality work.

We had a great experience with Phil and his company. They recently put in a screened in back porch for our home and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the work they have done. From the beginning of the project the communication and workmanship was top notch. They have done a number of different projects for us over the years and we will turn to them for projects in the future.

This group has done two projects for us. Top notch! The entire crew are talented, respectful and very pleasant. Nick and Chris checked in to make sure things were moving along. Can’t say enough about David, who was the guy that was here everyday - the resolution guy. Great customer interaction skills and made us laugh a few times. Taylor, the cabinet guy was perfection at its best. Sergio the painter, worked some long, grueling hours to meet the deadlines. Of course the owner, Phil, is a class act. We look forward to the next project with Closer Look!

Closer Look in Clayton, NC is a general contractor that undertakes home improvement projects. We wanted to remove our existing screened-in porch and construct a 4-season sunroom. Our beautiful new room exceeded our expectations. It is a striking room with a vaulted ceiling and very large windows. Their staff and subcontractors were very professional and dedicated to constructing what we wanted. Before starting, we contacted a number of other GCs to get quotes, Closer Look’s prices were reasonable and they achieved delivered our desired product. I would highly recommend them to my friends and others.

Phillip Oddo has created a wonderful business and we thoroughly enjoyed working with his entire team. Phillip is an excellent communicator and always responded within hours if not minutes of sending a text or email. Ed and Ethan did an amazing job with our kitchen renovation and were detailed oriented, kind, and exceptional workers. We were so impressed with Phil and his team that we have already hired them for a second project. Phillip & everyone else I’ve spoke with from Closer look have been nothing less than amazing. While we didn’t end up having any work done by them - at least for now - I’ve been blown away by everyone. They are very honest, up front, and transparent with pricing and their process. It’s unfortunately harder to find good people these days, but Phillip & team are nothing less than that - truly good people.

We hired Closer Look to essentially redo our downstairs after some water damage, and we couldn't have been happier with their work. It ended up being a pretty expansive project--we needed to redo the floors, some of the drywall, and paint, and we also decided to do custom built-ins and replace some of the railings on our porch and deck. Everyone we worked with at Closer Look, and the various subcontractors they brought in to help with the project, was excellent. They got the whole project done in a timely manner, did exceptional work, and were easy to work with. Highly recommend them for any home repair or renovation project.

A Closer Look General Contracting recently completed our Master Bathroom remodel which included demolition and replacement of existing tile and cabinets as well as removal of a garden tub. We highly recommend this company based on their quality of work, excellent communications from start to finish, and willingness to work with us to stay within our budget. The updated bathroom is exactly what we had envisioned and we couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out. These guys go above and beyond to do the job right!

We contracted with Closer Look over the summer to finish an unfinished portion of our upstairs into a bed/bathroom. We went through the design process and they were very flexible exploring all our requests before settling on the final design. Ceinna was our designer and we received an update each week on progress. Once construction started Trey, our PM, and Chad, our Super, were very respectful and communicative. Living in a home during construction is hard BUT the team understood and made sure thing were communicated quickly and worked things out as they came up. Philip, the owner, even came after the project was done to check in with us. We will be contacting Closer Look in a couple for years when it is time to renovate our downstairs. I will post pictures of our new space once our curtains are installed.

We are very satisfied with Closer Look. They finished our attic and we absolutely love it! All of the staff who came to do work were friendly, respectful of our space and absolutely wonderfully tolerant of our two large dogs (one of which barks A LOT at people because she loves and always wants attention and the other which is a bit shy and intimidated by people in general). This meant a great deal to me and was one of my big concerns with contemplating the project. While we were able to put them outside or in a room to allow for some movement of materials in and out, it would have been terribly stressful for both us and our dogs to have to keep them contained for long periods of time. Work was usually done on schedule with occasional changes. We were pretty adaptable to that since we work at home. Responsiveness to any communications/questions was super quick which was greatly appreciated. David was here often to check on work and update us on progress. He is knowledgeable, professional and quite personable. Very easy to work with. We would absolutely use Closer Look again for future projects.
