Appliance Repair reviews in Garner, North Carolina

I had great communication and follow up from them on a warranty issue with my fridge. The office was courteous and seemed to genuinely want to help. The technician Slim was a model for what service should look like. He was invested in the problem and intent on solving it. I hope I don’t need another repair for a long time but when I do I’ll call Convienient Appliance Service.

I used this business because my Kitchenaid range had just gone out of warranty, but they were incredibly deceptive and tried to tell me I needed a completely inneccesssary $1000 repair. I will not use them ever again
My oven control panel was giving an error message that the cable was disconnected when you tried to preheat the oven. The repairman came out, opened the oven and shoveled me where some oil had spilled internally, and told me the only way to repair it was to replace the entire control panel (which seemed to be working fine) at over $1000. I asked if we couldn’t just replace the cable (a $50 part) since that was what the error message said and he said it wouldn’t work. I pushed if we could please try that first abs he was surly but agreed and told me I’d have to bear the cost of a third service call if it didn’t. He told me he’d call when the part came in. In the meantime, I noticed that the error message was no longer on the stove. It was working fine again — and now has been for 2 weeks. It just took him wiping off the oil and reconnecting the cable but he never even checked if that fixed it. When they called to schedule the cable repair I tried to explain why I didn’t need it and why I was upset with how the repairman had tried to con me into $1000 repair but they just said fine and hung up on me. -
Although the job could not be completed due to previous installation issues, the gentleman that came out was one of the nicest people I’ve met. He was very courteous, professional and very patient with my loving but spazy dog. Even when his job could not be done he stayed and gave me tips on our other appliances. When our issue is resolved I hope he is the one that comes back to help.

Got our refrigerator repair done in a timely fashion and with quality (water dispenser delivering slowly, and it wasn't a clogged filter). Their technician (Ed) diagnosed the problem quickly during his first visit but needed to order a part (filter housing), which meant a second visit. Upon that, he arrived with said part on hand, made the repair quickly and got us up and running in no time flat. I hate dealing with our (any) home warranty company but my experience with Convenient Appliance Service has been nothing short of positive. I recommend!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Service Manager named Ryan. Have had to send techs out multiple times and not there issue. That I should be grateful they are trying to help as they aren't Whirlpool. Tried to explain they were the face of Whirlpool and he said not anymore and canceled my appointment. He is the most unprofessional person I've ever come across

The technicians do a very good job. The have a lot of knowledge about the issues. Ryan helped diagnose the problem with our washer. Shea M is a great hardworking technician who fixed the machine quickly. He needs to be given a raise or more money.

Had some problems with the work done by a very nice, polite tech. The owner ultimately came to our house and made everything right on his dime. VERY impressed with a man who stands behind his business - especially these days! Giving 5 stars in spite of the initial bad work because I'm that impressed with the owner.

Extremely kind and knowledgeable service. Slim was the technician who worked on our washing machine and he was wonderful! He answered all of my questions to satisfaction and even showed me everything he was doing step by step. He got our washing machine back up and running quickly. He was even kind enough to teach me some tips and tricks with our washer to make sure we cared for it properly.

Convenient Appliance was contracted to fix our Whirlpool double ovens through the manufacturer's site so we weren't sure what to expect when working with this company. We were initially unhappy after the visit from the first technician but we were quickly put in touch with the owner who went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and even came out to repair our ovens himself. What could have been a bad experience turned out to be a great one through awesome customer service and eliminating our oven problems. They wouldn't even accept payment from us until we confirmed it was working consistently and reliably again, which it was. We will definitely call them again for any future appliance repairs.

The worst repair experience we’ve ever had. So unprofessional. Kim (dispatch) is never available. Our washer broke on Sept 30 and is under warranty. They said they couldn’t even come out to do a diagnostic until Oct 10. After FIGHTING with dispatch we finally got on the schedule for Oct 4th, only to be cancelled on and not told. They said they called and texted but we had no missed calls and no texts. I called again to fight and got us an appointment for Oct 6th.
On the 6th we were told that we needed 3 new parts and it would take up to two weeks to get the parts, but we would be given an appointment the day the parts arrived. We called today to confirm since tomorrow would be the end of the 2 weeks, and they had no idea what we were talking about. The worst office management and dispatch I have ever dealt with. Go literally anywhere else. -
Biggest waste of $135 I’ve ever had. WOULD NOT recommend!!! Dude showed up and looked at the oven, opened it, pressed the nonfunctional command pad- then said “it’s dead you need a new one”…..thanks bro, they teach you that in oven-repair-school? We literally told you that on the phone. Could’ve used that money towards the new one….maybe next time at least take something apart (or pretend to) and try to find the problem?

Cody S from Convenient Appliance was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Our Kitchenaid oven was less than a year old and it would not hold the correct temp to bake or cook properly. We had a different company look at the oven first and after they replaced the temperature probe and control board the oven was still having the same problem. They came again and their testing showed that the oven preheated to the correct temp so they considered it to be functioning. The problem was that after the food went in the temp dropped way down and didn’t go back up, so food didn’t get properly baked/cooked. Since the oven passed their preheat temp test they said it was functioning and there was nothing else they could do. Then we called Convenient Appliance. Cody listened to the problem and did further testing until he could see the problem happening. He had worked with other customers who had similar problems with Kitchenaid ovens. He spoke with the Kitchenaid service rep and insisted there was a problem with the oven. Cody suggested we try replacing the user interface. The oven seems to be working better now, no more raw cookies so far. Thank you!

Customer service is horrible. Took them a week to get someone out to look at the washer! The tech says he needs a part to fix it and I should hear back in 2-3 days. It’s been almost another week and no one has called and customer service is completely clueless with zero answers. Whirlpool says they have the parts while customer service is saying they are waiting on whirlpool. Definitely would not recommend!

It is no fun when the refrigerator starts leaking, we requested service online and received a call back from a technician with great availability same day. We have a five drawer kitchenaid and I was worried we would have to order a new drawer. Ben was able to fix the drawer and showed me how to pull the drawer panel out to indicate the source of our leak. Turns out there is a basin back there that water can pool up from the improper seal. The service cost was well worth it, and we are very happy to be able to use our fridge again.

We called Jenn Air. They said to call this company. They said that the technician would look at the request and bring the appropriate part. They came out, charged us $144 trip fee and diagnostics and of course did not have the part. We were then charged another $133 for something we could have done in 10 minutes. Part was under warranty. Do not hire this company. We are going to call Jenn Air and ask them to remove them from the vendor list. They are highly incentivized NOT to bring a common part so you can be charged again.

I would've liked to give them a better rating, but as you see on some of the other ratings the office staff prevents that. It took me three days and about five phone calls just to get a quote auto repair. I knew exactly what was wrong with the appliance and I wanted a quote before I schedule the repair. The appliance is about eight years old and depending on the repair cost I may have wanted to replace the clients. Their office staff kept telling me that they would send someone out to give me a quote for cost of$79.99. That did not help. If the estimate was too high I was not going to fix the unit. The only way I even got the repaired done was that I called l the office late and accidentally talked to technician. I told the technician exactly what was wrong with the unit (and gave him the part number of repair part) and he gave me an exact quote. Very odd that it took me three days and five phone calls to accidentally get someone that would help me. Their tech did the repair (which was exactly what I said that was) and I was billed almost $300 which was $100 part / $200 labor and took about 45 min. Seems a little high. Tech was friendly and cleaned up behind himself.

I had a really baffling issue with my dual-fuel range that necessitated multiple visits and parts replacements. At one point in the process, CAS offered to refund me the expense for all repairs in order that I might apply it toward the purchase of a new unit. However, Ryan continued to research the error, replaced additional parts free of charge, and successfully resolved the problem. I wholeheartedly recommend CAS to anyone in need of reliable and efficient appliance repairs. Their professionalism, persistence, and transparency made what might have been a super frustrating experience much more tolerable. I wouldn't hesitate to enlist their services again in the future (although I hope it’s unnecessary).

Had someone come today for a dryer repair that my husband was handling as I work from home. My office is next to the door so if you look through the window you can see me.
The tech rang the doorbell while I was in a meeting. I didn’t know what it was for so I didn’t stop my meeting to answer it. My husband was coming to answer the door but was upstairs so was taking a bit of time.
Next thing I know the guy is waving me down and yelling at me about the dryer appointment. Clearly annoyed he’s had to wait for any amount of time for someone to come to the door.
I open the door and again with attitude he says “Im here for the dryer.” I said “can you stop being a jerk” (although, not proudly, I used an explicative) I just could not handle the disrespect, the looking through our windows, and the lack of patience. I have never experienced anything like that. -
Great service. Mike was awesome. Answered my many questions and was very patient and kind as well as efficient and professional. It was a Whirlpool warranty repair

Steven is fantastic! We had a dryer emergency and he was kind enough to get us scheduled same day with an excellent tech. Thankful we found this company for our go to needs if we have an issue with the dryer again!

We had frost building up in freezer so we called cas. The service person said we needed a new door bc the seal wasnt working anymore and thats the only way to fix it. We ageed. A couple if weeks later i decided to clean out the freezer and it appears some of the items were not allowing door to close properly as the problem completely disappeared. I called them to cancel and they hit me with sorry cant cancel due to custom order of part. Whatever that means. They then charged me for a 1000 dollars and we havent received any services or part. Needless to say were disputing the charge. Misdiagnosed our issue then tried to bill us for their incompetence. Anyways. Def not doing business here again.
