Question.
I currently have 8ft depth in ground swimming pool. I am trying to reduce the depth and bring up to 4ft depth all around. Will you offer the service or possibility of reducing depth? And estimated cost?

Working with this group was a pleasure! As with any construction, there were some unforeseen things that came up but the team managed it all with promptness and professionalism! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a beautiful pool built.

Very poor communication from the beginning from owner, Rob. After we finally reached out to him again, he actually “accidentally” texted my husband instead of his employer talking about us and being very rude. He proceeded to tell us that he didn’t think we could afford what it would cost to build what we wanted without even telling us what the cost would be or knowing our budget. I would not waste your time trying to go through this company because clearly they won’t have time for you.

Landon and Noah stopped to help me change my flat tire last evening on their way home from work. They are the kind of folks I want putting in my pool when I’m ready! Thanks Landon and Noah!

I spent months researching River Pools and requested a quote last Summer to find out there would be no way to get use of the pool due to the demand that hit after Covid. When I picked up the ball again this Winter I requested a quote for two different style pools and requested a site visit to determine which of the two styles would work best on my lot. The quote was provided in January ‘21. I emailed requesting next steps and even offered to put a deposit down to move things along. I was told they don’t accept credit cards by phone and that I could pay when Rob came out for the scheduled site visit. When the appointment day arrived Rob did not show. Instead, Landon showed just to look over the logistics of the lot but didn’t discuss much because he was not the designer A design meeting was completed via Zoom and after looking at the specifics of decking and yard grading necessities etc. it was our understanding a revised quote would be sent via email after Rob worked up some new numbers based on the design. Almost 3.5 weeks went by with no response to emails, calls, texts. Finally, I receive a contract with the numbers based around the design. Only problem was River Pools said they increased their pricing on me within a months time. Talk about switch and bait. The quote was presented to me in January 2021... shouldn’t that have already been 2021 rates? (Keep in mind the original quote in 2020 was for a different style pool). After questioning why such a jump in price I was basically told I should have signed in 2020 and that they were NOT going to honor what was just presented to me within a months time. How can you do that to a client that is awaiting a consult and design visit? Moving forward...with bank financing already in place and narrowing down our selection and pool options we requested some modifications to the contract, mailed off our certified check deposit and awaited the revised contract to sign electronically. The next day, I was sent an email letting me know “River Pools was unable to meet the originally discussed timeline for pool install and that they were not going to be a good fit for the job”. I requested a call back to discuss the situation with intent of communicating that the timeline didn’t matter at this point it was more just the desire to move forward since we planned around a specific pool shell. I was told again “they would not be the right fit for the job” with no explanation via email and that “a call would not be necessary”. I then requested a River Pools contact in the plant to order the pool shell with the intent to hire someone else locally to do the install and was referred by to another company that installs RP shells to in Greenville. The contact provided didn’t service Greensboro, NC. In my opinion the customer service and communication with this team is below average and on many levels unprofessional. I walked away feeling like they didn’t need my business...and they knew they could increase their prices due to Covid and the supply and demand in the pool industry within a months time and focus on clients with deeper pockets than I. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you want attention to detail and like to be assured you’re getting a quality service that values integrity - in my opinion this is not the right company.

Rob and his team did an excellent job! Great communication and follow up. The project was on budget and quality work. The pool is beautiful with great finishes. Highly recommend Rob and River Pools!!

River pools was a nightmare to work with.Frank the owner was not pleasant to work with. We had a huge discrepancy about the amount of dirt for the fill and we were charged for dirt we never used. We even provided video proof of how much was delivered. Communication was terrible. Stay away from this company at all cost.

They were friendly at the very beginning. But once construction began there was little to no communication. No matter how many emails, text, etc I sent no one would communicate. Anytime they would show up I had to go out and clean up all the trash they left. I went behind and rechecked the concrete measurements, which they got wrong twice. In the end I just settled, it was nothing like what was promised. I did not get the initial cleaning of the pool, again I did it myself. Near the end of the project, I believe they just were mad, the work (lack of work) continued to get worse. The last thing done was they dumped too many chemicals/salt in the pool and drove off. Had to pay to get it fixed.

Love our new pool! Everyone at River Pools were great to work with and the final result is exactly what we wanted.

Rob, Landon, and the entire River team did a great job of designing, scheduling, installing, and following up on all aspects from start to finish. Landon will coordinate timing and completion of all components and keep you in the loop all along the way.

Pretty smooth process with these guys. Landon was on top of things and nobody likes talking about pools more than Rob. Communication was good--just the little things like the group text thread they started with everybody involved in the project made it easier for everybody to be in the loop. We had our "grand opening" this weekend and the pool looks great.

Rob was a consummate professional. We had an appointment for an estimate for our dream inground pool. Rob was on time and a pleasure to deal with. His pricing was competitive and knew by our conversation, he used the best materials. What really impressed me was his description of the installation process. We went with River Pools and have no regrets. My wife and I were pleased from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Any small issue that would arise during the project, was addressed and handled in a timely manner. We are so pleased with the craftmanship and care the team took to go from our design to reality. Wow, where do we start! This has been the most amazing experience ever! We hired River Pools-Greensboro to install a simple, rectangular pool with brushed concrete to relax and enjoy retirement in. From the very beginning to the very end, River Pools-Greensboro were absolutely amazing to work with. Alexis spent time explaining the different pool options and answering our million questions. Kaitlyn worked tirelessly and patiently with us to design a layout of our backyard, with the pool and decking, to include several changes. Once the install started we worked with Robert, Landon and Noah throughout the whole process. Robert and Landon never once complained if we called or texted them. They were always kind, patient, gracious and sweet, even when we were changing our minds last minute or unsure of a decision we had made. This was the best experience we could ever have had for our first pool. We are so pleased with every aspect of it. We highly, highly recommend River Pools-Greensboro.
