Whenever I have an issue, they are able to fix it quickly. I just bought an old house that had really gross ducts, and they came out and replaced it within a couple of days.

These guys are fantastic. Pricing is very reasonable and service is prompt. Make Hornet's your first call and it will be the only call you have to make.

The install on my HVAC was pretty good. I was very impressed with the job and learn more about the company in the process. So keep it up!

Drew and his team were very quick in reaching back out to me and coming over to inspect the system. They are definitely some of the best in the area and are very fair with pricing. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of maintenance or repairs on their systems.

Drew came over super quick to help us verify the problem with our AC and provide us with an estimate well under what we anticipated. He also got our AC fixed and running much quicker than we anticipated. Excellent service!

I called them out because my unit was leaking water from the ceiling. When they came out they found the problem then also told me I was low on freon. Although there wasn't ever a issue with the unit cooling. A few hours later we noticed that it wasn't cooling anymore. Called them back and they sent someone out the next day. The tech never even let us know that they had came. We got a message simply saying that the issue was fixed. Then through the night the same problem happened again. Called them back. They came back after the weekend. Now the guy tell me it's a old unit and my compressor is bad. I said ok. But questioned why and what happened on the 1st returned call. He said that the technician replaced a pin where you connect the gages to read the freon. He said it broke when they were out there the 1st day and it was leaking. Which know one told me. They never said we will be back tomorrow. Cut the unit off until then. Nothing. Just took my money in full. So when he came back he went right to the problem that he created. Added more freon which I don't think I ever needed from the beginning because that was never the issue as far as cooling. But since he created a leak now I definitely needed it. Replaced the pin and left. The system worked for a few hours then went out. From talking to alot of people. Freon has oils in it that lubricants the system. He originally told me the system (which is old was short a pound of freon) maybe it was maybe it wasn't. I've owned the house going on 3 years. This was my 1st issue.
After his second return when he said the compressor was bad and he finally told me what was done when they came back out. He said they replaced the pin and added 4 pounds of freon. So in 3 years it's short a pound. In less than 24 hours your small leak as he called it leaked almost all of the freon out. Just imagine your old or new car running a quart low on oil verses 4 quarts low on oil. He never provided me with any readings from the beginning. High voltage low voltages bad ,wiring funny noises anything. That's not until his 3rd time coming back. Then now it's old , you have this wrong and that wrong with the unit. I will be taking him to court. This is the beginning. Letting everyone know my experience. Hopefully this is a isolated event with him. Either way I can't and shouldn't have to lose money behind poor communication and neglectian work from his technicians -
I have known Drew for some time and used to use him regularly until my past experience. I had an HVAC system that was updated with the addition that was built on my house.
The current HVAC worked great, no issues. Drew tried to sell me a gently used "updated" unit only to find out it was insufficient and to small for my house. When Drew reinstalled my old unit he could not get it to work properly. After looking it over he stated "There is nothing I can do I do not know what's wrong with it" and then left. Mind you it was working FINE before he removed it.
Also, on the new addition, the work on the new ducts, that Drew had Josh Hurlocker, (Josh's Heating and Cooling) install, was never completed after full payment was made. I had to hire Freeze HVAC of Mooresville to come and complete the job.
I paid, TWICE, and both jobs were incomplete and I was left with an HVAC system that does not work properly. -
Andrew and his crew did an excellent job! He showed me all of the problems with my hv/ac unit, explained how it worked and why it was no longer functioning. He then gave me several options and let me choose the repair plan. Everything was repaired and functioning by the end of the day! He also offered an option for reasonable maintenance service. I was very pleased with this company.

Our heat pump went out yesterday. Drew from Hornets Heating and Air came out and diagnosed the problem and did a temporary fix. The team came out today and replaced the whole system with a Trane unit. Added in a Nest thermostat for $1500 below previous estimates. Our system was a 22 year old unit so we knew the time was about up with it. Thank you again for a great job!

Drew installed new A/C unit back in May and said that he will come in a fall for a free maintenance. His technician came, completed the maintenance and charged us more than $100!. The charge was never even mentioned upfront. If we knew that it wouldn't be free, we wouldn't even have agreed to this "maintenance" of a new $9K unit. When we tried to confront Drew about this charge, he simply ignored the messages. Bad business practices. Do not recommend.

The company took over a month to complete install and pass inspection. Workers sent out made us feel uncomfortable. Owner (Drew) refused to answer his phone on multiple occasions. The coil had a leak in it which the company refused to repair. We had to get the HVAC board involved. Turns out they are not licensed to do HVAC installs and have already been told to cease install activity. We are now out $2000 from post install repairs since July 2021.

The A/C at the shop was not cooling enough for comfort I called Hornet and talked with Drew about my experiences with previous HVAC companies and some of the problems I have had finding a good, honest company I could trust. I have found that trust with Hornet. Great team and reasonable rates!
Thank you again, great job -
After leaving a voice mail on a Sunday, Drew came out and gave me a quick fix until he and his crew could come out and permanently fix the problem. He and his crew came out and installed a new AC unit. They were professional, responsible and very kind. I not only have a company I know and trust for any future maintenance, I also have a new friend as well. I highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.
