The Team at TayCo Electric are head and shoulders above the competition. I received 5 solar bids for our home and theirs was the best equipment at the best price. In addition, they were extremely helpful in receiving a solar rebate from Duke Energy in North Carolina although rebates are limited. The installation and service at every step of the way was excellent. The entire staff are knowledgeable, considerate and motivated.

We turned Solar for more than an year now (Oct 2019). I spoke to handful of installers and decided to go ahead with Tayco Electric. O They are the elite installer for Sunpower Solar Panels. Their quote was competitive and came with no pushy sales tactics. Joe was easy to work with and helped us save money by sharing corporate MIR that were in play at that point. Whitney from the installation team took care of all the paper work, whether it was working with my HoA or Duke Energy or Inspectors. She kept me informed with every step and made this complete experience very pleasant. She also helped us to be prepared on how to apply for Duke Energy Rebates. Their installation team was also very profession and all Tayco owned, and finished the work within a day. I have reached out to them 2 - 3 times in last one year and even the post installation service has been very customer friendly. Over all very pleasant experience and very easy to work with. Professionals.. I will strongly recommend to reach out to them for all your solar needs.

I've been up and running now for three days and the system is most impressive, plus the Sunpower App works well. Tayco people, especially Joe and Whitney were extremely helpful throughout the process which included getting my HOA to formulate a Solar Policy and then approving my system. Once we had that in place, installation was swift. Then a three day delay until York Electric installed the new meter and I could flip the switch. My experience with Tayco and their staff is outstanding and I recommend them to anyone. Plus, their proposal was the least expensive of the bids I received!

My experience with TayCo has been nothing but pleasant from the moment that I submitted my request for a quote on EnergySage. Joe Jensen worked with me through the site to provide quote updates as I was updating my requirements. After talking to multiple companies I went with TayCo because of (1) had the best price for a superior product, (2) provided the longest installation warranty (7 years) in the area and (3) Joe was very knowledgeable and up front so I felt in good hands.

After deciding to go solar, Joe connected me with Whitney who was my project manager. She was absolutely fantastic in keeping me up to date on the project. There are lot of moving parts when you go solar and a lot of process that needs to be followed with the city, energy company, finance company etc. Whitney handled all of that and continued to stay in touch with me through the process. Due to some bad weather and other city delays it was a couple of months between deciding to go solar and having the panels installed but through the entire time Joe and Whitney were there and guiding me through.

When it came to installation Edgar and his team were fantastic and treated my home with respect. We discussed multiple options in terms of driving the wires for the units through my home.

Overall, I am very happy with everyone who interacted with me from TayCo. Honestly, the customer service and the service itself has been one of the best I ever had. So happy that there are small companies out there setting the bar high like this. I would absolutely recommend TayCo to anyone looking to go solar and my only regret is that I couldn't give these guys more business!

I chose Tayco for my solar panels after getting a bunch of quotes. They didn’t have the cheapest price but they were the only company who didn’t have complaints from customers. Joe, my salesperson was always super responsive and helpful when the others weren’t always as attentive. From start to finish my experience was top notch and I’m glad I chose Tayco. Even to this day I can call Joe or Whitney and they are there to help. Thanks Tayco !

Mr. Jack Little and his crew would not rest until they were absolutely sure our new Generac Generator system was working correctly -
He even followed up after the hurricane blew through and we had lost power!!
In my humble opinion, 5 stars isn't nearly good enough -

I have used Tayco for two installs: two Tesla Powerwalls and twelve Sun Power panels. They added these to an system. Whitney and the install crew were great.
Edgar and his install crew were efficient, neat, very skilled and easy to work with.
Whitney’s customer service is fabulous. She advocated for me when Duke hesitated about giving me the solar panel rebate.
I am seriously considering Installing another Powerwall with them.

I had some electrical complications arise , trying to match an older home with the solar panel installation. Eric and his team were incredibly helpful going above and beyond and also incredibly responsive to questions and easily accessible. All in all one of the best contractor experiences I’ve ever had. I build dental offices for a living, and I have been very challenged to find outstanding contractors in the Charlotte area. I highly recommend Eric and his team . I never give reviews, but I wanted to share the story.

My solar inverter was damaged and original installer was no longer in business. I Called several companies for help without success until I called Tayco Electric and Solar. Spoke to Joe who understood the spot I was in and thankfully placed me in the hands of Whitney right away. Whitney was awesome. There was always great communication. She got the ball rolling and got the system up and running again. The technicians that came out were knowledgeable and friendly. I was so worried before finally finding them.This awesome team helped me through this situation in a timely manner without stress. I appreciate this business so much.

Tayco Electric installed my Tesla Wall charger today. They did a very good job. I contacted Joe Jensen about a week ago and he was very helpful in arranging for the installers to come out at a time that was best for me. His follow-up communication was excellent and he even texted me at 9:30 at night to make sure that I was ready for the installers to come at 8:45 the next day. After the installation Joe came by my house to check the job and to deliver the building permit. The installers did a great job and were completed with their work in two hours. They tested the unit to make sure that it was working properly and cleaned the area before they left. This is a very good company and I would be glad to recommend them. Five Stars all the way!

Whitney and her team are hands down the best people in the business. She was not our installer but came to the rescue and fixed what no one else could fix. They are professional, courtesy and incredibly knowledgeable. Can’t say enough about them. Recommend without reservation!

True professionals through the entire process. Sales process was great, Joe is extremely knowledgeable about solar, did a great job educating me on their product. There were no sales gimmicks or pressure to buy, I really appreciated his technical expertise. I had a ton of questions and he answered them all :)

Whitney did an excellent job as the Project Coordinator, she kept me informed of all the steps and handled all the paperwork with the HOA, Duke Energy, etc. A true turn key experience with her handling everything and keeping me informed of all progress.

The installers were awesome as well. They started exactly when they said they would, it took exactly how long they said, and they cleaned up so well it was like they were never here. It's obvious they take a great deal of pride in their craftsmanship.

I got estimates from multiple solar companies, Tayco was by far the most professional and least pressure. I think this is a case of "you get what you pay for" and can't recommend this company highly enough.

TayCo installers are very good. They worked quickly and efficiently and did a good job. The customer service are excellent especially Mr. Yeraldo Hernandez who answered questions professionally and politely.

After getting the runaround from the solar company that installed my system, I contacted TayCo Electric and they went above and beyond to earn my business. Joe from TayCo, whom I spoke to on the phone, was very knowledgeable about the industry. He scheduled my repair and had genuine concern about my satisfaction. The contractors from TayCo were extremely professional and thorough. They repaired the faulty part as well as checking and fixing other small issues that were present. I completely recommend this company for all solar installation and repair needs.

I've worked with my fair share of home contractors, and TayCo is far and away the best and most professional. My only concern going in was the relatively small number of solar installs they had completed compared to some of their competitors, but I honestly can't imagine the process being any easier or going any smoother than it did. They have a solid team, were very communicative, and delivered what they promised. My system is working well and looks great too. Highly recommend.

I recently had Jack and his team install Generac 48KW generator at my home. It was a very intricate installation. Jack exceeded my expectations and did a phenomenal job. I would highly recommend Jack and Tayco for ANY electrical needs.

They were terrific to work with, from Joe in Sales, Whitney on project manager, and Gabe on electric. Each was very responsive to our needs (actually listened to what we were trying to accomplish), unbelievably flexible in accommodating a last second change request, speedy in getting the inspections and 2-way meter switchover. Instead of a 2-3 week cycle, they went from installation (Monday) to system activation (Thurs morning).!! There isn't a thing they could have done to make the experience any better.

I almost never write product or service reviews, but my recent purchase of Solar panels and a Tesla Power Wall 3 from Tayco deserved praise. They were incredibly helpful with the design of my system. A different vendor told me I HAD to connect my system to Duke Energy, but what I wanted was a "behind the meter" installation where I won't be exporting power back to the grid. Tayco said that it was absolutely possible to do this and that is exactly what we configured this system. Tayco installation techs showed up on time, were courteous, and clearly knew what they were doing. I'm not an electrician, but I am an electronic engineer and have worked around numerous electrical vendors. These guys were great. My project manager provisioned the system in short order, and all we had to do was wait for the county electrical inspector. What a great experience!

We have completed 3 separate solar projects withTayCo Electric & Solar with outstanding success with each project since 2019. Initially TayCo rescued us from the 2017 disastrous solar installation of a Virginia based solar company. We highly recommend TayCo for any solar project.
