I was pleased from start to finish. Ernst came out within a few days of my call and worked with me on the issues with my tree. Katie stayed in touch so I always knew what the plans were, even when the weather presented challenges. The team of guys did the job safely, cleanly, and on time. Very professional all around.

We've had OBX Tree Doc at our property at Loblolly Estate several times over the past year for tree work: removed a dead tree cleared a wooded area, trimmed trees over hanging the fence line, cleared about 200 feet along the pond bank, and ground a stump. The service was outstanding, the service was reasonably priced, the crew friendly, and Ernst was always available when we called. Loblolly Estate is a 31-acre wedding venue with lots of trees. We'll be calling Ernst back on a regular basis to keep the venue safe and looking good.

Ernst and OBX Tree Doc did an excellent job trimming the trees away from our house. They quickly came out to look at the issue, got me on the schedule quickly, did a terrific job once they were here, and did an great job removing all the leaves/debris/etc after they wrapped up. Very impressed with their service on all fronts.

I was very pleased with Ernst from the beginning with his timely and transparent quote. Ernst and his crew started the job even sooner than I expected. They were all very professional and pleasant. They did exactly as I asked in a very timely manner with the size of the job. When finished, they cleaned up really well and even took some extra vines with them! I highly recommend them for your tree needs.

When the crew came the day of our tree removal, they were very friendly and quick. 100% would work with them again!

They were quick to respond for an estimate and arrived just before 8 am on the expected start date and worked daily until the job was finished. Very professional service along with a fair price. Ernst and his crew were great. The tree we had removed was in a tricky spot hanging over our house and 2 sections of fence. They got the tree down easily with no damage to anything and cleaned up the yard and everything after! Will definitely use them again in the future!

Had a great experience with OBX Tree Doc! I called and got an onsite estimate the same day to trim annout of control Live Oak. The bid was reasonable and the work was done a couple days later. The office and field staff were polite, professional, and efficient. The trim work looks great. The guys were conscientious about making sure it met my expectations, and they did a thorough clean up afterwards. I will use them again if needed, and highly recommend them. OBX Tree Doc was here today to take down one tree and trim up another one. They were right on time, friendly and efficient. All of the guys were great. Not only were they professional in the work that they did, but they also were respectful of our property and cleaned up very well, including blowing the debris back off the street. I don't often do these reviews, but I would highly recommend them to anyone. They did an excellent job.

OBX Tree Doc transformed my yard! I have quite a few live oaks that needed pruning, plus two other oaks in bad shape near our house and a small pine by the power lines that all needed to be removed. During the consultation he answered all our questions about how best to maintain our trees and which ones he would suggest taking out. His estimate came back quickly and the amount was very reasonable considering his expertise.

The day of the work, Ernst and his crew showed up right on time, got the job done in a only a couple hours, and I'm incredibly satisfied with the process. He walked the property with me before and after to make sure my needs were communicated and met. They were considerate of our property and our neighbor's fence when cutting the trunks.

And when finished, they cleared all the debris from the yard and, noticing our fire pit, suggested we keep some of the oak. They stacked up some good cuts of firewood for us to keep, and that was incredibly thoughtful.

These guys are top notch! Quick to provide quotes (& stick to them!) and always on time. Fair & reasonable pricing, which we felt even moreso when the job was completed. They go above & beyond! Best price & quality of service on the beach.

We have used them twice now, at our home & also at our shop. The tree they removed at our home was smack against our vegetable garden fence and I was worried about damage to our already planted garden, and the small fence. It proved warrantless- there was no damage, and i was home that day and absolutely SHOCKED how quietly they were somehow able to work (unheard of in tree removal!!). The chainsaws & chipper only ran when it was being used- previous tree service folks we've used leave it running the whole time. I was so impressed with their skill in climbing and selectively removing limbs one by one, taking the tree down bit by bit rather than falling the entirety of it. When they finished, our yard was cleaner than when they began. Not a chip of wood was left behind.

At our shop, a large, old live oak needed pruning as it was scraping our roof and could have caused damage. This tree is right over our building & courtyard, and once again the site was left perfectly cleaned up- not a leaf or chip to be found. They even put all the courtyard tables & chairs back in place. The tree looks so much better. OBX Tree Doc provides a solid 5 star service, there is no question.

Ernst of OBX Tree Doc trimmed our live oak tree that was overhanging the roof of our home. He was recommended by our landscape service professional. We obtained three estimates before deciding on OBX Tree Doc. His was the most economical estimate, plus he is a certified arborist to boot. He was able to schedule us within a week and did a wonderful job. He is so easy-going and pleasant to work with. So grateful that we heard about OBX Tree Doc!

Very professional crew. I got an estimate and they stuck to it. On time and completed the job the day they said they would. We have a 100+ foot Sweet Gum with weak horizontal branches extending over the roof that needed to be pruned. The OBX Tree Doc had an early opening on their busy schedule to prune the tree. I was really impressed with the skill demonstrated throughout the job, to include safety, perfect clean cuts with the proper angles, clearing out the large amounts of dead wood high up in the tree, dropping the branches right on target & away from the house, extensive knowledge of trees & shrubs ("PictureThis" app tested), and the spotless cleanup. I should mention that the professional and personable demeanor on behalf of the office staff and crew was a real bonus.

Update 8_20_24 (two years later); With possible storms developing this fall it was time to remove the enormous Sweet Gum (mentioned above), two house threatening pines, one dead tree, and trim back high limbs around the perimeter of the house. Once again, the OBX Doc crew performed outstanding work, including precision limb dropping and an impeccable cleanup. The chipper was amazing with its ability to chew up to 19” logs. As it was, we had two truckloads of chips hauled away. The teamwork was amazing. Check out the photos, some of them bring new meaning to “It’s lonely at the top”.
