Very nice orginization, friendly, helpful staff. Little lacking in basic gardening knowledge. Couldnt get any information on how to make my soil more alkaline. As a nursery that grows plants for a living, you should educate your staff on how to properly manage your soil, including Ph levels. Also, bought two plants that were really dry. Took them home only to find no soil in the pots, only fertilizer(plantfood).
Literally no soil in the pots with the plants....just roots and pellets. After a struggle to get them out of the pots all I saw was a compressed mess of roots for both plants. I really hope they survive. I asked for a discount on the 32$ per plant, plants that were dying and got 2$ off each.
Thanks for the 2$ per plant discount for those disasters of plants. I did you a favor and saved their lives. Dont cover your potted plants with something that doesnt allow you to see the soil. Its nice to know when the soil is damp or dry....or if there is even soil in the pot at all. When you see plants looking dry or wilted....like I did when I first saw them. LOOK at them! Do some investigating. Took me all of 10 seconds to know why they were dying. They needed to be in bigger pots. Wouldnt recommend coming here if youre new to gardening.

Excellent service, they even provide warranty. Very friendly and helpful stuff. The quality of the plants is absolutely five star! Only a short drive from Winston- Salem.

Spent over an hour with the staff last year planning out my firepit area. I was told that I had a one year warranty on every plant that I purchased. The tree died and I tried to return it within one year and I was told It was an annual and wasn’t supposed to live. Then the story was that I didn’t purchase it there as they never sold them. So didn’t honor their warranty. I won’t be back!

Stopped by Mitchell's for the first time and believe I just found a hidden secret in the Piedmont. Wow! Beautiful nursery, great selection of trees/shrubs (best around), and prices were very reasonable. Judy personally took care of everything I needed. 100% worth the drive from Winston-Salem/Clemmons.

This nursery has a ton of very healthy plants, helpful but not pushy employees, and I LOVE their newsletter that you can sign up for! I drive all the way across town to go here instead of the ones close to me because I love this one the best!

They have a lot of beautiful plants, shrubs and hanging baskets. The have all your garden needs. You can get lost looking at everything. Staff are always nice and helpful. We go there every year.

This place is awesome. Very nice assortment of trees and plants. The people who work there are very, very friendly.
