Landon did an awesome job. Spoke to me about what he was doing and gave tips also. Holiday Pools & Spas are top notch!

As the owner of R and R Pools we do many above ground pool and liner installations for Holiday Pools and Spa's. I have had nothing but a good relationship with Tom Chambers, he goes out of his way to make sure that all people are happy with their business relationships that are acquired. Knowing that you can't make everyone happy he goes out of his way to make sure they get the best possible sale. I see that there is someone refuting that he deals with defective liners I will be glad to say he gets the very best product that is out there. We have worked with many customers that buy liners off the internet and have had bad and or defective liners shipped to them from other online companies and have asked us how do they get the best possible deal, and we inform them that when you order off line you never know what you get but when you order through a reputable pool supplier like Holiday Pools and Spa you are taken care of. Tom has gone out of his way to take care of all of his customer's experience. Defective liners are like a roll of the dice you never know never know when you will hit a bad roll. You then have to come to the determine if how did the leak happen and you do everything that you can to rule out any problem that cause the leak. This pool held water from the time of insulation in the spring, thru the summer and until it is time to close the pool for the winter. At that point it now has a leak. Tom has to rule everything out for the manufacturer. These are the steps that have to be taken and it is not Holiday Pools and Spa fault that the liner all of sudden has a leak. So to sum this up I would highly recommend Holiday Pools and Spa as a very reputable place of business and would buy a pool or liner from them.

I would like to applaud Holiday Pools for the fine renovation they have just completed on our swimming pool. We purchased a home late last year that had not been taken care of in many, many years. It looked like the best idea was to remove the pool and fill in the hole, in fact one company did recommend doing just that.
Instead, we looked for one more opinion of what to do.

That lead us to Holiday Pools. They seemed to know more about how the pool was built, and how it could possibly be revived.
We changed not only the shape of the pool, but added a waterfall beside the pool, which we love.
We have a liner pool, which was very different than the concrete pool we left behind at our old house. We had a lot to get used to with this pool.
We did select a new liner which we love, it has made the pool water a darker blue color than our old pool, and looks great with the waterfall, very natural.
So, we are now ready for an entire season of swimming and relaxing by the pool, which is why we chose this house in the first place.
    Thanks everybody!

Do not, under any circumstances - give Tom Chambers of Holiday Pools & Spas a single penny of your hard earned money.

We contracted Tom to build a new pool - having paid upwards of $30,000 for an in-ground pool (18,000 gallons) complete with concrete decking and a salt-water chlorination system.

In the past 22 months of ownership, the concrete decking has cracked in 3 separate places.

Tom's crew (teen age summer jobs) poured solvent on the vinyl liner which dissolved the vinyl liner's decorative pattern away across a 12" section before they realized they were erasing the liner.

The Hayward filter that was installed broke in 3 separate places, spraying water on top of the filter pump which shorted out from the constant flooding of salt water.

The liner itself is undersized, and every week since it's completion is pulling out from around the edges of the pool exposing the back wall behind the vinyl liner.

The ladder posts that were supposed to hold the ladder in the pool were sunk into the concrete at an angle. So the ladder didn't sit flat on the liner , square to the wall of the pool. Instead it sat at a 10 degree angle to the wall so that when the kids climb up it, the rubber cups fall off and the pipes of the ladder punch into the liner like cookie cutters. Tom took the ladder away to fix it over a year ago, and never brought it back. When I asked him for my new ladder back (to try and have it bent professionally by a local machine shop) Tom gave me a used ladder after begging for about 3 months, looking as though it was taken from a local junk yard or an old pool renovation he got one for free at.

I am an Eagle Scout - involved in local Scouting - and a member in good standing in my local church. This project was supposed to be a gift to my wife whose wanted this pool for 10 years. We saved for months and sacrificed so we could have this pool installed. This has been - without exception - the worst experience we've ever had with an outside vendor whose done work to or around our home. If I could write 1000 one star reviews to make sure no one ever gives this company another dollar, I would.

    Stay. Away.

Great Customer Service. Timely, Knowledgeable, and Thorough.
I'm glad to have a business like Holiday Pools close and accessible for our pool needs.

Christine was very professional, knew what I needed & gave me a great price for my pool liner & installation. The installers were also very professional & polite. Would use them again.

I can't think of one nice thing to say about this company. It takes FOREVER to have Tom respond to you. When he does he is curt, rude and dismissive. They installed our pool three years ago and our French drain has failed each year. Each year we have had to drain the pool and pay to have it fixed and filled up. There has been NO long term solution offered to fix it. We were told today "he was in over his head with work so not to expect him to open and fix our pool any time soon". We've never been tempted to sue anyone before now. The customer service is nonexistent- he is rude. I regret going with this company.

The staff at the Holiday Pools & Spas are wonderful and very professional. They just re-did our entire pool liner and installed new filters etc. The pool looks amazing. Tom Chambers is great to work with and I have been recommending him to everyone I know.

I have been using Holiday Pools since 1997. I have had 3 different houses with pools and they have offered service and repair on all of them. They even built two of the pools back in the 1980s. The manager John is very helpful. He is very knowledgeable about pools.

I highly recommend Holiday pools for all your needs. Completely affordable as well. Would definitely recommend

Everybody I have dealt with at Holiday pools and spas has been extremely friendly and professional. I had an above ground pool installation from quoting it to finish in less than a month. They did a wonderful job in setting it up and helping me learn about it. I would highly recommend holiday pools and spas.

This company came to my house and 'cleaned my pool out' and then attempted to fill it up in which there were several holes in the liner. They charged for me for six and a half hours of work and in all those hours they did not see over 5 holes in the liner. Now they have billed me almost $800.00 and they did absolutely nothing to fix my pool and caused a very big water bill on top of them charging me. Christine stated she would work with me on the price and instead mailed me a full bill. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to pay for nothing.

I am going to try and give the most honest and unbiased review that I can. First off, Tom has owned the store for a very long time and knows a lot about pools. He used to have another building and test your water. Now he focuses more on servicing and installing pools.

I have talked to 6 different people who have all had horrible experiences at Holiday pools. One guy brought his pool cleaner in to be serviced and the company lost it. After demanding they find it and many times checking back on the store he walked back into the repair shop and got it himself. Another woman told me that when her pool was installed they put in a pump that was too weak for her sized pool and she had to spend hundreds extra to replace it. Another woman had her sand changed out and afterwards sand started leaking into her pool. Tom denied that he had done anything wrong and blamed it on the woman.

Those are just a few examples of dissatisfied customers I have met. I am sure that many other customers have great experiences with him, but definitely not all. What I can tell you is that his pattern is that he does everything he can to cut costs and when he makes a mistake he tries to hide it or blame it on the customer. Get ready for a fight to get him to fix his mistakes.

Would I recommend? Definitely not. On the other hand, there aren't a whole lot of other options. Go at your own risk!

This is by far the worst "professional" company I have ever dealt with. I would give them a 0 if it were an option. Its the end of July and we have been able to use our pool one time. The guys that showed up were always late. Always had an excuse to leave. Overcharged for broken equipment. Showed up smoking cigarettes and explained to one of the other residents that they had to be out by a certain time so they could get a drink before they got the shakes. They drained my pool completely to fix the liner (which we had already done half of ourselves because they didn't show up) and wouldn't compensate chemicals. Spend your time and money on a better business!!

we did not purchase originally from Tom and the crew but once our installer at the local competitor left us high and dry, Tom stepped in and has been a lifesaver. We have been working with him now through 2 seasons and he truly cares about the customer. He and his staff make you feel like family not just a form of payment. They will not sell you what you don't need, are always willing to help and always try to make you happy. I couldn't imagine having a pool without their expertise. We drive 45 minutes one way just for their service because I know with them it will always be worth the trip. More businesses should take the initiative to be like Holiday!

We purchased a new cover this summer for our large community pool. Tom Chambers and the entire Holiday Pools staff were outstanding to work with. Tom went out of his way one evening to meet me and assist in getting the pool measurements to ensure the size of the cover was correct before ordering it. We installed the cover this week, and everything fit perfect. Throughout the summer, we had a couple of gaskets go bad. Holiday Pools was always gracious to assist with getting us new gaskets in a timely manner and offering advice on many other items. Enon Pool would like to thank Holiday Pools for their top notch customer service and continued working relationship.

I used holiday pools because my realtor used them for an inspection for the property and I assumed it would be easy to keep with them as they already had seen the pool. I was wrong. Our interactions were plagued with communication issues, overpromises, a lack of knowledge, and now hidden expenses. I would NEVER use them again.

    1. The inspection was 200 bucks and they didn’t check anything except for the cement expansion joints (which they drastically under quoted and can’t even do the work themselves) and the filter which they said may just need some work and require 200-700 in repairs (after closing they said the filter needed to be replaced entirely).

    2. When attempting to schedule with someone the first time, I asked the quoted work be scheduled so the pool could be opened in the middle of April. The scheduler was non committal about the work and said someone would be out to see the pool (why did I pay 200 dollars for an inspection then?). We settled on end of April.

    3. After thinking on it, I called back a few weeks later to ask the work be pushed up. It then came out that they actually can’t do the expansion joints they called out and the quote in the inspection they gave was entirely arbitrary (actually costs twice as much as they stated), but I didn’t care. I had already waited so long, I just wanted the pool open.

    4. They sent some guys out to start the process, gave me a quote for the filter, and sure enough when it came in it was the wrong height. I then had to wait two more days for new filter that was about 500 dollars more expensive.

    5. The guys then put the filter in and as a part of the opening said they would be back to get the pool swim ready.

    6. They came back and sure enough there is sand in the pool. They say it’s just the pump size but after the services I’ve gotten, who can really trust that?

    7. Through this process 10lbs of shock were apparently put in but because they didn’t add stabilizer, it all leached off (almost 100 dollars of chemicals at my expense)

    8. The last tech said they would be back to vacuums the sand and asked me to overfill the pool, he never actually showed back up and called me to say I can schedule with them in the future. So I spent more than they quoted, don’t trust the work, and my pool still isn’t ready.

The guys that came out to the house did a FANTASTIC job of showing me how everything worked, how to do what needed to be done, and when to do it. Answered all my questions, including ones I didn't know I had! Extremely thorough, friendly and professional. Great experience!

We just ended our first season with our new pool from Holiday Pools and it was great. The installation work was fantastic! The whole team it Holiday has been great to work with. If you are considering a pool I would definitely recommend Holiday Pools and Spas of Winston-Salem.

I really wish I would have seen the 1.8 star rating before I booked my appointment. I called and requested a pool opening and a review of our equipment to make sure it was all running ok. When I booked the appointment I was very clea that the pool cover had not stayed on and it was basically swamp water but the representative assured me that he would send 2 men that would get it taken care of and review my equipment. They also stated I would get advance notice of their arrival so I could make sure I was available. Their advance notice was a 10 minute notice via text. They looked at the pool and said we spills just drain it and refill it. They claimed that would be our most "cost effective" way of doing it. It would literally cost over $1,000 just to have it refilled and they didn't even test our equipment. I received a bill for $80 for absolutely nothing. They did literally nothing but show up. I had to cancel the birthday pool party for our daughter because these people are unreliable to say the least. My family members are cance their business with them after this. Go anywhere but here like I spoil should have. These people are a joke!! I'll be letting the world know about these people!!
