Had Matthew put in a retaining wall for us. After showing him what I needed he explained to me how he would do it. When he gave me the bid I was pleasantly surprised. When he finished the job we were even more surprised. Yardart Solutions is a top quality company that did a great job in a very professional manner.

Having recently become confined to a wheelchair for my mobility to continue my life as independently as I could I contacted YardArt Solutions.
Matthew presented a plan to give me a space to be outside and maneuver without compromise and with complete safety.
Mission accomplished. Rebuilding my current deck providing more space and transforming the landscape with safe movement from my deck to my patio at the front of my house using large landscape rocks 🪨 to keep me on the concrete walkway that they put down without looking down where I was. Finally an unbelievable concrete ramp offering COMPLETE access without assistance to the outside. All of this and beautiful landscape included. I can’t thank them enough for giving my independence back to me.

Matthew is awesome at his craft! He helped me design a beautiful back yard that fit my budget and gave the utmost quality of service. He really took time to understand what I wanted and absolutely delivered. He was very communicative throughout the entire process and made it effortless for me. I ABSOLUTELY recommend.

I can’t believe I forgot to post a review! Matthew was incredible! My yard was an absolute disaster after I had not one, but two, CONtractors come attempt to install a French drain. When I say I had a pond in my backyard, that’s not an exaggeration… Matthew was able to get my yard in order in one day and alleviated all stress from me. Whether you’re having a drainage issue like me or just want a beautiful space added, this man will make it happen. If I could give him 10 stars, I would! Do not trust other companies in this area. They aren’t worth the time, money, or stress!

We've hired a slew of absolutely AWFUL contractors in our area to fix our drainage issues in our backyard. Contractor after contractor, who would have made you think they've never heard of communicating with a client, being on time, nor actually doing the job they were hired to do. When these other contractors finally did show up, the job was lazily done and done improperly leaving us with the same issue on repeat.

In comes Matthew. He was highly recommended by a trusted friend of mine and we couldn't be any happier!! First, he showed up on time at our initial appointment. He walked us through his exact ideas for our problem, even asked for our insight, which other contractors have disregarded, and we came up with a complete plan on exactly what was going to be done, how, when, and how much. Then, on the day of the job, Matthew and his guys showed up on time and got right to work. They finished everything the same day! We couldn't believe it because we had previous contractors taking literal WEEKS to sometimes months to even complete a solid hour's worth of work because we were always the last stop of the day, conveniently right before closing time. Matthew made us feel like we actually mattered as his clients, rather than just another check coming in. He knew how jaded we were and he made sure we didn't feel the same way with him and his crew. Our yard has never looked better and when we got a hard rain afterwards, the incredibly huge sigh of relief was probably audible. Everything Matthew and his guys did to solve our drainage nightmare was a HUGE success! We are beyond grateful, beyond thrilled, and absolutely clients for life! We moved into a new home that has natural springs and needed some serious maintenance and care outside. Having multiple drains to deal with, Matthew and his team effectively and beautifully replaced a retaining wall for us, fixed the all-around drainage issues we were having, and installed a beautiful sidewalk. That was just one project.

We also desperately needed privacy that was absolutely missing. Matthew gave us a multitude of options, along with his guidance on what he felt would be best for our situation, including raised tree beds. We now have 8 stunning Emerald arborvitae trees along with 20 Carolina Sapphires, drip lines, mulch, and stone borders.

Additionally, we wanted a place for seating but, we just weren't sure what direction we wanted to go with it. Matthew provided the best solution for our situation and we now have an amazing deck overlooking the lake with a functional and beautiful bench seat.

Matthew and his crew were a joy to work with. Matthew did a wonderful job designing my front foundation beds and executing the layout including drainage and irrigation. From the time I first contacted him to the completion of the project, he was excellent with communication. He explained everything he was doing each day and also went over how to care for my new bushes and landscape. He worked quickly and efficiently and I will definitely use him on future projects.

My husband and I had a general idea of what our outdoor kitchen would include, but Matthew drew up a design that made it all come together. I found YardArt Solutions at the Raleigh Home Show and we had him come out to give us a quote for replacing our deck boards and extending the deck. Matt was very thorough in his approach with us - going over in detail what we are looking for, what he could do, and providing us with a detailed quote. In addition, he did not upsell us when we were considering doing more to the project, but decided it did not make sense (i.e., a patio under our current screened porch -- he could have upsold us and done a large project, but he was careful to explain why it would not be ideal in our conditions and why it would cose a large amount that did not make sense). He worked with us on getting the permit pushed through in compliance with the county regulations when we had to adjust our plans based on setbacks for our septic system. This even included Matt coming out for us on a weekend to mark our septic system and draw out the deck extension on the grass to show the county how we would be in compliance once we adjusted our deck extension size.

Once we were ready to go on the project, Matt scheduled a date with us and showed up for the work. He was always communicative to us about the stage of the project, including the delays due to rain/inspector scheduling. The deck that he installed over our existing structure and then the extension are flawless -- very well-made, sturdy, and they look great. We are so appreciative to Matt for his work and his communication style, which is always responsive. Even if he cannot get you an answer at the moment, he will tell you he will advise and he follows up later with that information.

We also used Matt for some tree removal at the edge of our property (dead trees that were threatening a neighbor's shed). He again was very communicative and executed it with precision and with no damage to our yard or our neighbor's yard. Both us and our neighbor were pleased with the experience.

We wanted to build an outdoor kitchen area and firepit. We began searching last September. One of the prospective companies was YardArt Solutions. Matthew came to our house, looked at our yard and then sat with us for several hours listening to what we wanted. He was extremely friendly, listened closely and answered all of our questions. Matthew designed a plan for the entire yard and hardscape. It was beautiful. After reviewing several other companies, we decided to use YardArt Solutions because of Matthew's friendliness and experience. Since we had no experience with any hardscape companies in the area, we were a bit concerned given the scope of the job. However, had we known then, what we now know about YardArt Solutions and Matthew, we would have said YES immediately! Matthew, Christopher and Josh are an amazing team who are incredibly conscientious, hard working, detailed, knowledgeable and friendly. They are extremely customer oriented and listen and complete the project as requested with the highest level of quality and craftsmanship. They do not rush the project; they look at the smallest of details and produce an amazing product. We are so happy and actually shocked at how our backyard has been transformed. In addition to the beautiful hardscape and landscape components, Matthew and team also installed lighting on our home, along the walkways and in the trees. The difference is incredible at nighttime. We went from a dark house to one with lights placed artistically around it. And Matthew came by several times at night to adjust the lighting (angles and intensity). Our home is beautiful thanks to Matthew and his team. We are so appreciative and thankful to them for the attention to detail, hard work, incredible results, professionalism and friendliness. Matthew was awesome to work with. It was nice to have him fully involved in all aspects of the project instead of dealing with different people throughout the process. He was very communicative throughout the whole process. As new home owners, we had a lot of questions and anxiety, he answered them all, even repeat ones, patiently and calmed the nerves. He also handled all our changes before he started the project, like a Champ. When unexpected issues came up he would give all options, and never pushed for the most expensive option. Our renovation involved the replacement of a wooden deck with a Trex deck with a two-foot area expansion.

We were unsure exactly what we wanted at the beginning of the project. Matthew came out, looked at and measured the old structure and listened to our comments. He then drew up and provided us with three different proposals that could meet our needs.

I sincerely appreciate the fact that Matthew closely coordinated the staging of equipment and product in my yard so I would still have have easy access after the project began. He and his crew showed up on the agreed upon date, ready to work, including permit posting—very important for future real estate transactions. Matthew was also diligent in updating us on project completion.

Matthew went above and beyond—contacting the manufacturer for suggestions about best installation practices of the product for my situation. He also took the initiative to make us aware of the products that will protect our vinyl posts if we use a grill on the deck, as well as how to maintain the deck.

The result is a larger, beautiful, safe and solidly sturdy deck that we can enjoy for many years! The crew left the yard work area cleaner than they found it!

The project was estimated to take two weeks. It came in ahead of schedule and on budget.

YardArt Solutions was recommended to us by a friend. I am a VERY particular (read uber picky) person when it comes to work being done for me and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! This is one recommendation that did not disappoint.

Matt and his team brought to life a design we had for our outdoor living space. We wanted a circular stone sitting area with a central fire pit and amphitheater seating built into the small hill in our backyard. They exceeded our expectations for professionalism, customer service, attention to detail, and craftsmanship.

We are thrilled with the lighting installation that Matthew and his YardArt Solutions team just completed around our house. Oue house was absolutely dark at night, and the lighting hits all the right places to beautifully accent the architectural features in a soft wash, just as we requested. In the back, the lights on the steps add safety to an otherwise completely dark spot, and the "moonlighting" of the fire pit area is magical. The lifetime guarantee of the bulbs and fixtures is a welcome added bonus

Several years ago I had met Matthew at a home show in Fayetteville and was impressed with his work, but at that time, we weren't ready for a lighting project. I misplaced his contact information, and couldn't even remember the name of the company, but when we were ready to add lighting to our house, we visited a home show, and I was pleased to recognize his displays, and we connected to get the project underway. Very professional, great communication, and always on time! The install was completed in the timeframe discussed, and Matthew was great at explaining the project along the way. We are so pleased! My wife and I moved into a house that couldn't get worse flooding, unless we right next to a river. We have three dogs and we were tired of the mud baths they gladly enjoyed. Carpets were a mess, kitchen a mess anytime it rained. I've waited about a month to post this and it has rained I believe 4 times. Our yard couldn't look better. Barely any tracks. You get what you pay for, and I'm glad we went with him. The before pictures were when it lightly rained, so you can imagine how bad it would get. I will seek out your services again for future projects.
