Rip off artist!!! was going to charge me $1,200 to replace a $200 part!!!! Stay away from this company.
-
I had b&e come out today. The air wasn’t working and they were amazing!!!! They were on time and fixed everything! Thank you so much! Recommend!
-
BEAIR installed my ac and furnace in 2010. 8 years later they are both running strong without issue! Highly recommend!

I would not recommend this company. I've had a service scheduled twice from B&E. The techs have not shown up at all. No one called to say they were cancelling the dispatch and why. I do not like the unprofessional attitude from this company. Very poor service.

Just had my fall service and filter change. My system has some oddities and Greg handled them with alacrity. He answered all my questions and was thorough. Looking forward to the spring visit!
-
Go somewhere else!! Even if it costs more you will be happy not to go through this company! Very unprofessional!! The first group cussed at each other, and also didn't glue a pipe which caused a leak! And they've done nothing but have to come back and repair certain things that another company would have gotten right the first time!! Notice the good reviews are from Google users, probably the company people doing reviews so they look better!!

Love their service! Couldn't ask for any nicer and more experienced technicians to be doing my winter and spring maintenance and being there for me any time I have any question or concerns and above all any problems with my unit. Without having any trouble to contact them, they are able to get me scheduled on there calendar as soon as that same day to help me with anything I need. Been a customer for 5 years and will continue to be for a long time.

Had a knowledgeable and experienced young man (Campbell) checking my air conditioning for me today. He was very thorough, on time and the appointment was a very pleasant experience.
I recommend B&E very highly. -
We've used B&E for 20 years and have always been very happy with their service. Everyone that comes out is polite and helpful and they never try to talk you into unnecessary, expensive repairs. I highly recommend them!

Made an appointment a week ago for a repair estimate and had to call when they were running to late just to find that they were not going to be able to make the appointment due to other needed calls. I understand that people need air, but I also understand the value of holding appointments.
For some reason I cannot reply to the owner's response. This was years ago and I just hope you are able to improve service for future customers, but your response I find very condescending. I had to call you to find out why you weren't showing up at your scheduled time to find out that you weren't going to make it out that day. Yes, you tried to reschedule for a different day, but when I made the appointment I made it very clear that the appointment had to happen on that particular day. -
Day 1
My 74 year old mother Sue (used to be the property manager at Heathstead), has little or no extra money and her heater is not working. I live in Northern Virginia and do not know when I can get down to Charlotte to help. So I did a google search and found a HVAC service company (B&E). Lisa was so nice and a pleasure to talk to. She said they would get someone over to check out the gas heater. So far they seem like a good company. Five stars for customer service. I will update when I get more.
Called my mother and she said the person who arrived was prompt, coutours, and knew was the problem was in about 5 minutes.
Well I got a call back from Eddie, my mother furnace was last repaired some time in 1995 and is showing its age. As I said my mother was the property manager at Heathstead worked many contractors, so it hard to tell who worked on it last. It seems that the motor that blows the gas up the chimney was broken and it is going to cost $950. After discussing the problems with him I ask him if he could order the parts and I would pay him over the phone in the morning. I have worked with, worked for many contractors and even had a couple work for me. Eddie also agreed to waive the $89.00 service call fee. So I called up a couple of friends and everything that Eddie said about the Heating system in my mother’s house was accurate. Even went into some details letting me know he thinks that this is all that Again Five Starts for customer service.
Day 2
Called Lisa in the office and paid over the phone. What a very nice lady. Talked with Eddie, (a US Army Vet) again and he going to send someone out first thing in the morning. So far so good. (mom is cold)
Six months later, the Heater is broken again and my mother called them several times and could not get a return phone call. You would think after you paid them 950.00 they would at least call my mother back.
One year later, it started getting cold at my mother house again and she called me and asked me to call B & E. They came out and told her the furnace is not not working and would cost more to fix than replace. I have been trying to get them to put an estimate in writing every since. Stay clear of these guys. -
I hired this company to install a new AC 3-4 years ago. They were great at that time. However, it has broken every summer since. They have come to fix it (for their regular fees) each summer until this one. I have called and left mutliple messages (no one answers the phone) and have been waiting for them to call me back for over a week now. Incredibly poor customer service and I will never use this company again.

Great service work! They arrived before time, James was extremely professional, curtious, honest and a pleasure to work with. They discovered a problem that they could have easily charged me for, but was able to repair with tech support. It's nice having someone you can trust looking out for you!

Our small downstairs air conditioner needed to be replaced. These guys came right out and gave us a great estimate. They were able to come out and install it right away. Did a great job. Talked us through everything (a couple of times) and were very professional.

BE has been servicing our HVAC systems for close to 20 tears. The original unit lasted about 18 years and was recently replaced by BE and works great.
The service techs have always been punctual, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company. -
We have used B&E since moving to Charlotte some 20+ years ago, and wouldn't consider using anyone else! Their office staff is courteous and responsive, their technichians knowledgeable and so very nice, and the management team is simply the best. In addition, the new HVAC system they installed for us several years ago has been incredibly efficient and such a pleasure. In short, B&E has just been a comfortable, easy company with which to do business and we enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking for a good Heating/Air Conditioning company in the Charlotte area.

I have been a customer of B&E for many years. They are a wonderful, family-owned business with people who know what they are doing and know how to trouble-shoot problems as well as fix them. I trust them. They not only repair broken units, but when you have a Peak Service Performance Agreement, they maintain and service your heating/ac to make sure it continues to function properly.
They are the best and I highly recommend them. -
Just say NO! I have used them for years and slowly the quality has gone down hill. The owners don't care, bad service ( only interested in selling you a new system). I had them come out to look at why water was leaking through the ceiling from my HVAC system. The next thing I know I have to pay $400+ before they would leave. They didn't give me an estimate, they just did the work. The attic unit's drain was clogged and water was flowing over the drain pan. I could have done the work myself. DO NOT USE, you will only have more issues requiring them to come back again.

B&E was the original installer of our HVAC sytem ~ 15 years ago. Our system has been OK over the years. It has needed some repairs and B&E had been attentive in providing the repairs. When our system broke down this past Labor Day, they charged us for a part to fix our A/C that was "under warranty". Because it was under warranty they said they could get it for us for a discounted price of $1,600. Once they got the part, they still couldn't fix our system. They said they needed another part. That part came in. It was the "wrong part". They then received the correct replacement part about a month later. However, they then stopped returning calls and texts. Punch line is we went 4 months without upstairs A/C and heat, they charged us a "discounted" $1,600 for a part that didn't fix the problem, and they kept the part. They never completed the service. We then hired another HVAC co to fix the issue. They fixed the issue within 48 hours for $300. B&E acted unprofessionally. We just wanted our system fixed, but B&E stole our money. We are pursuing appropriate avenues for recourse, but no one should do business with B&E.
1/26/25 Update to owners response below. To be clear, the B&E that i left the negative review about is the same B&E we always did business with. I mentioned in my post that B&E had been attentive for the first 15 years. i then had the negative experiences i explained. Same company. What i didn't mention was how when my wife went to discuss the matter in person, she was chased away when the owner let dogs out to chase her off the property. All true. If you want to reimburse me for the $1,600 to make things right, i will delete the post. Until then, i will continue to highlight the bad business practices of B&E. -
Service call. Very professional clean and conscientious

Great company to depend on it, I hardly recommend
