GLS Landscaping & Maintenance, is the best landscaping and maintenance company I have worked with in the pass 6 years. Scheduling snow removal, taking trees down, planting flowers and bushes around the church. Promises kept, timely follow-ups and great staff. We are so pleased with the quality of work provided, we are planning on more projects for GLS.

We had a really large bed of juniper on a hill in the front of our house that had been there for many years. It was hard to maintain and became unsightly very quickly if left unattended. Being new to this area, I took careful notice of the plethora of so-called landscaping companies doing work in my and the adjacent neighborhoods. I saw GLS working in numerous locations and liked what I saw.
After quoting the job with numerous companies, we decided to contract with GLS.....and we are so glad we did. The price was fair, they arrived when they said they would, and most of all, the job was done right.

Edit: no attempt has been made to respond to me with any intention of completing the promised fixes they said they would do. I was promised work to make up for the issues I had, and once my last payment was made, RADIO SILENCE.

The quote process went rather quickly. The quoter came out and went over my expectations and options to meet those expectations.

The contract portion was a little vague initially, but the customer service was on point with responding and updating the contract to my expectations and clarifications.

Scheduling did not go as the contract had noted that it would. I requested to move forward with the contracting and scheduling, expecting to discuss scheduling the work to be done. However, the crew showed up and started working the next day without any real notice. This wasn't a huge issue to me, as I was able to accommodate them starting work immediately.

The foreman that was sent out to my job seemed more focused on completing the job with speed, instead of quality. There were clear misunderstandings in what the foreman was doing versus what was noted in the contract. The foreman just completed work without questioning whether the end result would be acceptable, and did not bother to stop and ask. I had requested sandstone removed from my yard so that it would be re-leveled and able to grow grass. Some of the sandstone that was removed was just left laying on the top soil that was replaced. The top soil used had a great amount of stone left in it, which seemed counter-intuitive to the purpose of the work.

Upon making the issues with the completed work known, the customer service was very good about turning around and getting the issues scheduled to be fixed. The company offered reseeding and aerating for free (yet to be scheduled) to make up for the issues I made known, and they were quick in responding to my emails and questions. The customer service was excellent in this regard.

I would recommend any customers to be very precise in what they expect, and be thorough with looking over the completed work.

I was impressed with how quickly Scott Williams came out to look at our problem and to give me an estimate. Even though I'd said there was no rush, the GLS guys came out fairly soon afterwards and completed the work in a timely manner. They were polite, and did a great job of cleaning up.

I thought they were going to come one more time since I had a few more trees/bushes I wanted removed, and would have paid more for that additional work, but that was a failure on my part to communicate. I wish the men had cut down the (small) trees much closer to the ground, instead of leaving 2-3 ft. staubs.

I summary, I would recommend GLS and would hire them again to work on our property.

GLS Landscaping & Maintenance is a wonderful landscaping company that meets the individual needs of their customers! Everyone is very professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and nice! They curtail your landscaping plan based on your wants and needs. I use them for weekly maintenance and we are discussing some future bigger projects, such as redoing our creek area and possibly adding in a water feature! Scot came out in person and he spent a good amount of time with us discussing our wants and needs when we first were considering contracting with them. Anna in the office is so sweet and helpful too! I couldn't ask for a better landscaping company!

It is so nice to have just one trustworthy, honest business that will coordinate all of your needs and/or special projects. They are the nicest people to deal with...whether in the office, or in the yard.

Dillon was very responsive, great communications, prompt, and professional. Delivered a load of firewood the next day and stacked it for us! Will use him again in the future!

Team was prompt, accessible, thorough. Respected a recent AT&T cable burial line on property by flagging it. Aeration, fertilization and hopefully, de-weeding. Jury's out until Greensboro receives more rain.

I am very pleased with the work done by GLS. They addressed the problem with water ponding in the corner of my yard by installing a French drain. This seems to have solved the problem and I am not seeing any significant ponding after some strong rains.

I requested a quote a few weeks back and have yet to meet with anyone. The initial visit has been rescheduled twice and the 3rd was a no show with no communication until I called twice for a status. I am very disappointed based on the reviews, which makes me wonder if they are legit.

I recently had GLS install new plants in my yard, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the start their communication was outstanding. They helped me pick the right species for shade/sun, soil, and style. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and treated my property with respect (no mess left behind, and they cleaned up after).

GLS Landscaping & Maintenance recently built a retaining wall and landscape bed on the side of our yard, and they did an excellent job! The work was professional, clean, and really improved the look of our yard. We’re very happy with the results and will definitely hire them again for our next project.

I have been very pleased with the service I received from GLS Landscaping & Maintenance. When I was meeting businesses to obtain quotes, I was worried that GLS would be over the top given the size of my project in comparison to the type of clients they typically have. I was very wrong! They provided a very reasonable and market consistent quote. I decided to go with GLS because they are a local company and really seemed to know what I wanted to have done. Jaime identified my problems immediately!

From start to finish, everyone was so nice. The project employees were very thorough and respectful to my home. The supervisor, Jaime, has amazing communication skills.

I rarely give a 5 star rating but this one is well-deserved. Jaime Mariano was the GLS lead for my project. The design, installation and follow up exceeded expectations. At each step, Jaime met with me to assure all was as I envisioned it. I would definitely recommend GLS.

I am very, very satisfied with landscaping job completed by GLS, from the beginning to the end. Anna’s smile and professionalism was great and Jamie’s expertise, ease in communicating, trust and listening ear was the icing on the cake. The team went over and beyond my expectations. Have used Cole and his team for several years now and I have always been completely satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them.

So disappointed. We had a pristine lawn; these guys seeded some clumping fescue in our lawn and those of two neighbors. When we contacted Cole, he wouldn't address the concern or talk about possible solutions. How does a professional do this?

I live in Oak Ridge Meadows in Greensboro. Colby and Jake have done a fantastic job of beautifying our community...recently placed ornamental trees at our Gazebo entrance. What a beautiful way to enter our neighborhood! They also made the back of my home so inviting! Thanks guys!!!!
