I've used Fred for several projects including sod installation, a new driveway, and my foundation when I did my addition. Always very professional, and did a great job with cleanup.

We would definitely NOT recommend Fred Construction Company. They were hired by our builder to do our concrete driveway and landscaping. They did a very poor job with everything!! The driveway cracked after a month or so in many places. When we reached out to Fred as to what could be done, we never heard a word back. We recently had someone out to look at our driveway and they said one of the reasons it cracked was due to not being prepped properly with gravel underneath and now we have water intrusion. This is a MAJOR issue!
They were also hired to put down sod & seed on our 1+ acre lot. We saw them throw the seed down with no concern to where it was going and they did the same with the straw. We had areas very heavily seeded or heavy with straw and others with nothing. They did not level out where the sod was being laid and we have holes all over our yard that we now have to fill in. They also did not do anything about drainage as we now have standing water on the one side of our home anytime it rains. Another issue we are going to have to deal with ourselves to correct. We had never seen Fred at our home during any of the work being done or afterwards. They have blocked me from their FB page due to my
review there. Again, no response from them. VERY unprofessional and very sad they don't stand behind their work and won't return emails, texts or phone calls.
UPDATE: We had a concrete company out to look at the cracking and they said it cracked due to the cement being watered down. Nothing can be done to correct this unless the areas are torn out and re-poured.
IN RESPONSE FROM Fred Construction Co.: We understand we did not hire you directly, however indirectly you did the work for us since it was our home that was being built. When there are issues with subcontractors after closing, you reach out to them, not typically the builder. We had roofing and AC issues, we called those subs directly and they came and took care of the issues. So as far as the driveway cracking, yes you should be responsible for it. We DID NOT have our moving truck come on the driveway or any other heavy vehicles within 30 days. They pulled into the lot next door and came around to the back. With our own vehicles we were EXTRA cautious and gave the concrete more than enough time to cure before we even drove those on it.
We were on site when much if not all of the work your company did, so we saw first hand what was being done.
We HATE that you still have not been paid!! That is totally unacceptable. We understand you are not alone. Several other subs were very late in being paid or not paid also.
Whether or not you have been paid, we feel that our driveway should not have cracks this early and that you should have at least responded to our email. We have had to spend thousands of dollars correcting things that were not done correctly or at all and as we get the funds will have to do even more work. In regards to the sod, yes we understand that was the builder's call, however, why would nobody question putting Bermuda sod down and fescue seed?

In this day and age of finding the right contractors to work ,well it can be very challenging. Finding Fred Construction Company was a great find. Going forward I  HIGHLY  HIGHLY  recommend this company to do all my future concrete work . The team were very professional in dealing with me and the job they had to do. We recently worked with Fred Construction company on two different projects for our home. On both occasions they were amazing—they did great quality work, were extremely communicative and are all around good people. Jose and his crew were such a joy to have onsite everyday. We would recommend them to anyone needed hardscaping, grading and foundation work.

Very friendly staff and wonderful to work with. Seen some bad reviews of their drivers which I was shocked about as I see their vehicles every morning driving safely down I40 and 440. Truly enjoyed working with them and highly recommend to anyone needing construction work!!

Tell your driver not to tailgate people while they have their kids in the car

If they can't even park their trucks in a parking spot like a decent human being than why would anyone trust them to build anything, they obviously only care about themselves.

Why are you going to put your company name on the side of your vehicles if you don’t know how to drive .. whoever was driving the black truck with the red logo on the side , please go to a driving class cause you can’t drive for nothing

Removed our mailbox for street work. Paving completed and a huge unfinished mess left. Paving was completed over a week ago, no finished grading and entering week 4 not able to receive Mail.
No one on sight can speak English.
Very unprofessional group that has no responsible person on sight that can provide answers.

TELL ALL YOUR DRIVERS TO GO THE SPEED LIMIT!! I LIVE IN SANFORD, NC AND THEY COME DOWN SPRING LANE AT LEAST 20 MILES OVER THE SPEED LIMIT, AND HONK AT MY HOUSE AND THINK IT'S FUNNY, WAIT UNTIL THEY HURT SOMEONE, IT WON'T BE FUNNY THEN. I HAVE TO CROSS THAT STREET TO GET MY MAIL

Top notch and the leader in the Triangle area for customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Management balances the needs of their customers with all of the influences including weather, location, regulatory requirements & industry standards, logistics regarding materials availability, manpower and costs and produces a product that leads the industry. No wonder they continue to receive repeat customers; because they do what they say they are going to do.

Horrible Company. They hired somebody using my social security number. They should do a better job on back ground checks. Then when i contact the HR personnel Karla Medina she tells me she’s very sorry it’s not the first time the company does this and she was willing to help me. All of a sudden when she stated she was going to get back to me with a copy or any updates she sends me the number of their attorney Christian D. They told me one thing now they are telling me they can’t do anything for me directly. This wouldn’t be a problem if you guys did your job correctly and hired people with correct back ground checks.

Yet another complaint about your drivers. Shows systemic lack of company integrity. Driving on US1 in Raleigh to see your company truck weaving recklessly in and out of 5 o’clock traffic today and then cuts me off and mocks me in his rear view mirror. I would not recommend this company based on the lack of professionalism when driving a company car and representing the company in public. We must then ask the question, “how do your employees act when on the job when not being watched?” I have a picture of his license plate and let my Raleigh PD friend know.

Apparently the let just anyone get behind the wheel of their company vehicle. I had this older white guy with gray facial hair completely cut me off near Leesville Rd in Raleigh without looking as I almost nailed the moron. I'm an electrical contractor so if I take time out of my day to notify the public to watch out for this companies drivers then it's pretty bad driving.

Met the team at a networking function, and top to bottom, they are the consummate professional group. They have a strong reputation in the community and it's obvious why!

I met the owner at a business function this week. He was very genuine with others and offered solid advice. I watched him share his contact info with multiple people in effort to help them with their business efforts.

Driver of KJS-1787 red dodge ram rode my bumper extremely close then proceeded to speed past me and purposely cut me off nearly hitting me then gives me the middle finger afterward. Traveled behind him on 540 and was continuously swerving in and out of lanes going 20+ over the speed limit and tailgating ANYONE he could dangerously close. Should not have company vehicle privileges what so ever as it is a horrible look on the company
