Added disconnect at water heater. Lionel was professional, knowledgable and skillful. No messing around. He knows his trade. Job was tidy and done to satisfaction. Definitely will use this company again.

This is the first time we have used Above Code Electric and we were very pleased! We called late in the day on Tuesday, not an emergency, and Lionel came out early the next day. Knew what the problem was right away, explained it to us and was able to repair in a short time. We will use them again!

I highly recommend Above Code Electric!! Response to our call was immediate. They gave us a very fair estimate. They showed up on time for our schedule appointment. The price was the same as the estimate even though they did extra work. They are originally out of Richmond and take pride in their work. I have already recommend them to friends and will continue to do so. Very thankful to find a reliable tradesman here in OBX.

Above Code responded quickly with a same day (same morning) service call. The owner, Lionel, made the service call to my Corolla home, explaining everything he was doing and what the problem was. Lionel came out promptly to help us with a problem with an overloaded circuit. He was courteous and on time. While out he fixed our issue. I will be using him again for my electrical needs in the OBX.

Would highly recommend! They went out of their way to help us during an emergency, out hvac was leaking and causing water to come out of the kitchen light fixture. Above code went out and fixed the light, gave us additional info on the source of the leak since we weren’t in town, and then came back and installed a new fixture. Will be using them for all our work! Thanks!

Great experience, would highly recommend. Lionel went out of his way to get up to our house and took care of everything we needed done. Despite running into some issues with previous faulty wiring, he made sure it was done right and provided an explanation along the way. He insisted on cleaning up. Took care of several items that were not on the list. Prompt, professional, friendly.

I called Above Code Electric about an electrical issue I had as Tropical Storm Idalia was passing the OBX. Lionel took my call and showed up the same day. He quickly diagnosed the issue, worked outside in the wind and rain, and did a great job. Confidently recommended!

We experienced a bad, overheating water heater breaker in our electrical box. I called and spoke to Lionel that morning, explained the situation and he came out shortly afterwards - examined the breaker, showed me the damage and completed a quick repair - keeping us in hot water :)

Lionel was quick to respond to my initial request. Worked to setup a date for the requested work and showed up when he said he would. He and his helper worked diligently to complete the work in less time than I expected. He will be my go to electrician. I just hope he has time to fit me in when I need help.
