This was the worst estimate I’ve received. Estimate was poorly written. Did not reach out to the engineer who we did the design build with. Did not contact our vendors for pricing, material break out that was given was garbage, in addition to being a week late.

Enlightenment Companies is a pleasure to work with. My estimates has always been on time and within the budget I was told. I use these guys for 90% of my estimating needs now. Professional in all aspects.

I was extremely disappointed with the level of service my client received from this company. Our company is an electrical contractor located in the Bahamas. We chose Enlightenment to estimate a very simple project. A two-story house. We were told that the estimate would take only 6 hours to complete - but the estimators actually took 1 month! - and only after we sent a few emails and more than a couple phone calls.

Much worst, our client cancelled because of the long delay, but her credit card was still debited the full amount. The labor cost that was estimated was also joke! The estimated cost was totally off. It seemed like a beginner worked on the estimate.

The estimator couldn’t even find their file that we sent with our labor rates, etc. In addition, we specified PVC conduit, but the estimator selected EMT conduit & fittings. It also seemed like the estimator is only experienced is estimating NMC cable?!

Sad thing is, we could’ve done the estimate in-house ourselves, over the course of (1) weekend, but decided to out source it due to our workload.

Our project manager attended a training session at Enlightenment years ago, and has the same estimation software.

Maybe Electrical Enlightenment is not what it used to be. Or maybe Ron needs to clean house, or hire a third-party estimator who knows how to estimate. Ron’s knowledge and expertise should not suffer because of other people who are estimating under Enlightenment Companies.
