Jake came out to our home in a timely manner. He presented himself well and was courteous upon arrival. He trouble shooted a couple of our electrical issues and advised us what the cost to correct these issues would be prior to doing the work. Before leaving He gave us some safety and precautionary suggestions which I really appreciated. In the future I would not hesitate to contact Blue Collar Electricians for all my electrical needs.

Jacob the electrician was so friendly and professional. We had two whole home surge protectors installed for added protection on our home and Generac. He did a great job installing both and they look great next to our breaker box. The whole process was easy for us contacting Blue Collar Electricians and getting a quote quickly. Tyler and Reese did a super job taking down a ceiling fan and putting up a new one. Also installed 2 can lights and a lighted vanity mirror with maestro switches. We really appreciated the job they did and highly recommend them.

The job I had done by Blue Collar Electricians was probably the best experience I have ever had contracting to get something done around the house. The morning the job was supposed to start they showed up on time with fairly large crew. They walked me through the entire project, where the trenching was going, and double checking where all the fixtures and outlets were supposed to go. I was getting two outbuildings powered and wired, so it was a fairly big job. On the second day, one of the crew talked to me about our pool, he said since the trenching they already did went right by the pool, I could get power put in for that so I didn't need to use extension cords anymore, and no extra charge for the trenching since it was already done. When they were done, one of the crew called me down, and we walked through the entire project to explain how everything worked and was connected. I had thought about trying to do the project by myself, but I am so glad I called them, there is no way I would have been able to even come close to the job they did. All of the little details, like how they sealed up all the exterior boxes and entrances, and how the external GFI boxes were recessed and installed. Blue Collar Electricians will be my first call the next time I need electrical work done.

These guys are awesome, whether it's the electricians that come to the house, or it's the people who man the phones, this company is always on its A game. I recently had some questions about my house and it's electric bill and Laura was able to answer my questions and even gave me advice on how to solve the problem! She was super helpful and as always this place is top notch!

Jacob and Tyler were excellent. They rebuilt my meter base and replaced my panel quickly and professionally. Their work was clean, and they were very knowledgeable about their craft, even to the point of educating me on a few things. Blue Collar is my goto for any electrical work I may need down the line. I can’t say enough about this company. Blue Collar Electricians is the definition of an honest, reasonable, quality service small business. John, Tyler, and Pat came to our house at 8 am and were done by 3 PM. They did a panel install and recess lighting install throughout most of our house. The end product is spectacular. The price was much more reasonable than other companies as well! These are honest, hardworking people. They will treat you well and give you a fair price. I cannot highly recommend them enough.

Truly outstanding company. I recently called to have some heating cables uninstalled, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Communication was clear, the electrician arrived quickly, and he took the time to answer every question I had. He also helped me think through the best options for my situation.

But what impressed me most was the honesty. After looking things over, he explained that since I was already having roof work done, the roofing contractor would likely handle the heat-cable removal — meaning I didn’t actually need their service. In other words, they turned down easy money simply because it was the right thing to do.

That level of integrity is rare, and it’s exactly why I’ll be calling them again in the future.

I called to schedule someone to come to my property to give me a quote to come look at my electrical boxes as I know they are not up to code. I was told they had availability but that wasn’t the “problem”, refused to come out to the property for a quote because they “don’t need practice” insinuating that I would not move forward with hiring them. Again, as I know my boxes need to be updated and I had full intention on hiring them after the quote and even states that I would pay for the inspection. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessionalism. I will never use this company and I will make sure to tell my bad experience to all of my friends and family to ensure that they do not give this company their money. Whoever spoke to me on the phone should be fired- they are costing you guys a lot of business I’m sure

Bill and his team are extraordinary to work with! Bill has been doing work with my home building company for years now and I highly recommend him! His workmanship, his work ethic and his cleanliness are some of his best attributes, not to mention he’s one of the easiest guys to get along with!

Will continue doing business together for years to come!

Bill does amazing electrical work. He has done a full basement remodel for us. Including wiring to places we did not even know could be possible. Like our existing kitchen island even though basement ceiling was finished. He has done our hot tub wiring. And can do the small outlet installs too like in the utility room where you need more! He is honest, fair and timely! Highly recommend

Update: It baffles me that you continue to update your response to this review. All we asked for was a quote to install an A/C unit for our aging parents in Chesterland. The one unpleasant phone call with you was enough to send us looking for another option. I don't understand why you are so hung up on the fact that we live in Chicago. You obviously have a problem with Chicago because you bring it up in every revision of your response to this review. We were both born and raised in Ohio, parents lived in Chesterland.
To your points:
(a) No, we never met in person. We had one phone call. At that time, you were rude and unhelpful.
(b & c) We only ever asked for a quote. We did not have you do any work. Because you were so rude on the phone, we found and used another electrician.

Bill is great. Came out very quickly. Experienced, knowledgeable. Fair pricing and friendly. Strongly recommend Bill for your electrical needs.

Bill gave me the best quote of everyone I had quote the job, he was on time and did an excellent job putting a new electric panel in and ground rod outside, wired three lights to one switch in the basement and put up a ceiling fan, I will be using Bill in the future no doubt, thanks again Bill great job!!!

Best experience yet with a contractor. Bill came out to my home on his way to another appointment just to try and trouble shoot my problem. He was so helpful and called me back later that evening to follow up!

Bill, worked on my Century Home in Chardon, OH. The electric in the basement was a mess with a half dozen fuse and breaker boxes. There was knob and tube, and degraded electrical wiring every where with several signs of electrical shorts and smoldering (suprised the house hadn't already burned down). He came in gave me the lowest quote out of 4 contractors and started work rewiring the entire home within days. The quality of work was amazing and he took the time to answer any questions I had. Additionally he made several mid-work changes to the electrical to accomadate changes by me and HVAC contractors working on the property, all of which he was happy to do. As well since I have had many electrical related questions to ask while doing some of my own DIY work and he has always been extremely friendly, patient curtious and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone.
