We hired Hughes Construction Company to replace our large concrete driveway, front sidewalk and porch. They did an outstanding job and we were impressed that the owner, Tyler Hughes, was here the entire time performing the work and supervising his employee's. His communication with us was great and he provided us in great detail what would be involved with the whole project and he and his employee's performed it accordingly.

We had foundation issues with our house and contacted Hughes Construction. Tyler and his crew were very professional. He assessed the situation, explained everything to us that needed to be done and took the time to answer all of our questions, which we had many. They arrived on time each day and when they left made sure things were picked up & clean. We highly recommend Hughes Construction for any foundation issues you may have.

Our screen porch had settled a little bit over several years and required new footers to be installed. Hughes Construction was exceptionally professional in every phase of the project. From the very first time I contacted the company (Tami) in both emails and phone calls, they always did what they said they were going to do and when they said they would do it. Tyler came out to the house and clearly explained how they would go about fixing the issue and how long it would take to complete. When the time came, Zach, Mike, and Tyler were hardworking, efficient, and knowledgeable and I am confident that the work was done skillfully. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone who is in need of the work that they provide.

A very positive experience working with Tyler Hughes and his crew repairing a very troubled foundation on the home of a friend. From the men at the job site to the office personnel Everyone was very professional, helpful and willing to take on a few extra unexpected projects at the job site. I would recommend this company to everyone in need of a very professional and competent construction company.

I hired Hughes Construction a few years ago to fix a large crack in my basement wall...I live in a hundred year old Sears bungalow that hadn't seen much attention when we bought it. I had had several less than fantastic experiences with other contractors and decided to try Hughes. Best decision I ever made.

First, the crew and Tyler are extremely professional and respectful. I feel comfortable having them in my home. Tyler explained how the work would get done and walked me through the process.

The wall looked great when they were done and we have had no further issues with any leakage.
I have since hired Hughes construction for all my home improvements. I know that foundation repair is one of their specialties but I contact them for just about everything. Some of the additional work they have performed: the installation of a retaining wall, a french drain (no more water in the basement!), siding on the house, and multiple interior projects, most notably the remodel of two bathrooms and a complete renovation of the basement.

I recommend them highly and will not hesitate to hire them again for any additional projects for my home.

How fortunate I was to learn about Hughes Construction through a friend! My basement had a small water problem that escalated slowly over several decades until eventually the sidewalk and patio on the side of my home cracked and sunk . I really didn’t know where to begin. Hughes Construction starts with an evaluation of the problem by an independent, reputable structural engineer of my choice. Tyler and his crew, Mike and Zach, worked steadily for about 9 days. They were respectful of my time and property. They reseeded the area that was involved and even returned to powerwasher the driveway when the work was completed! I hope I don’t need any further foundation work but, if I do, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Tyler Hughes Construction! Also, Tami and Chelsea in the office were most pleasant and resourceful. Thanks to all who participated in the work on my home.

I cannot recommend Hughes Construction enough. From start to finish, the entire crew was friendly, helpful and professional. Tami, the office manager, was lovely to work with and answered any questions I had about the quote and the scope of the project. Once onsite, Tyler and his crew got to work and implemented the foundation repairs recommended by a structural engineer. I was extremely nervous about the project, but Tyler ensured I felt comfortable with the work being done and helped me understand every step of the process. As a first time homeowner, this was very much appreciated! I highly recommend Hughes Construction, 5/5!

We hired Hughes to water proof our basement and they did a phenomenal job! Hughes actually is one of the ONLY places in Cincinnati that does waterproofing legitimately (unlike the places you see on commercials..) and we get zero water in our basement now!
Hughes also put in a large cement area in our backyard so we can sit out there.. they left our home/yard looking better than what it looked like prior to them starting!

Amazing from start to finish! I would highly recommend Hughes Construction as they were professional, dependable and trustworthy. Tami and Tyler were awesome during the whole experience answering my hundreds of questions and putting my mind at ease during through the whole process! Tami’s communication skills are top notch and she stayed in constant contact with us and keeping us up to date with everything going on. Tyler treats his work and the worksite as it was his own home. The crew showed up daily at 900am and kept the site as organized and clean as possible. Hughes construction took a nerve wracking experience and made it the best case possible. We were confident in there work during the whole experience and happy we had chosen Hughes Construction to do the work!

We are very pleased with the foundation repair and concrete work we had done by Hughes Construction. Their entire staff was pleasant, they kept us updated on delivery dates of the piers that were ordered for our foundation, start date for the project, and throughout the entire project. Tyler is very knowledgeable in his field, and he and his crew were on time every day, and very hard working. We had to have steps and concrete replaced due to the pier installation, and after discussing ideas with Tyler, we decided to include extra concrete work to give us a nice patio. We could not be happier with how it all turned out. We will definitely contact Hughes Construction for any future projects.

Hughes Construction was a dream to work with. They were prompt, professional, and wonderful to collaborate with. We had work done to our office parking lot and they executed the vision perfectly. A first class experience!

I hired Hughes Construction for retaining wall and driveway work at my home. The work was completed within the agreed upon cost/timeframe and was performed to a high degree of quality. Tyler and his staff were very diligent, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this company to others and would hire them again in the future. This was a large job, and I appreciate that they helped us navigate the entire process, kept the work site clean and communicated well from beginning to end. We did extensive research on companies before selecting Hughes Construction Company to complete a very large drainage project and concrete work. We were beyond impressed with every aspect of the work. Tyler, his crew and Tami (Office Manager) were wonderful to work with. We were blown away by the communication and professionalism of the entire team. Hughes Construction Company will be the only company of this type that we will work with in the future. They did an outstanding job on the project and their attention to detail and customer service was superb. We will be recommending them to all of our family and friends!

Outstanding. One of the basement/foundation walls had started to lean in and the corners of the wall were cracked. Hughes required a structural engineer look at the project first. I wasn’t happy about the cost for that but am very glad I did it. The cost for the engineer and the repair was substantially less than the price quoted by others. Bracing was added and the cracks filled. I waited before writing this as it has been a dry summer and I wanted to wait for it to rain. I am happy to report, after a considerable amount of rain, my basement is dry! After and before photos attached. Tyler explained everything in detail and left the basement cleaner than when he entered. Very happy customer and will definitely call with any future needs.

I contacted Hughes Construction last year to begin the process of fixing foundation and drainage issues in my home. As a person with a lot of questions - administrator, Tami, was wonderful. She consistently and thoroughly answered all of my questions... and made it very clear from our first communications that the Hughes team was scheduled out for quite some time. I appreciated the honesty and decided to continue working with them despite the wait AND I am so happy I did. Hughes Construction does require consulting from an engineer, but they offer a wide range of engineers to choose from and at the end of the day... give consumers peace of mind knowing that they are doing their due diligence to properly repair damages. When it was time to begin scheduling our project, both Tami and Chelsea were incredibly helpful. As it turns out, I was getting ready to have a baby right around the time the team was to be available for our project! However, they were able to be a bit flexible and move our project start date around to help accommodate our new arrival. Tyler and his crew were efficient, respectful, and certainly put in the work! After excavating, a few other issues were noted and corrected - the engineer we worked with was also consulted, AGAIN... just to ensure the proper repair was being made. I would be more than happy to recommend Hughes Construction to anyone needing repairs or to work with them again. After the rains we've had the last several weeks, my dry basement and I sincerely thank Hughes Construction. Wonderful company!!

Had been experiencing issues with the foundation and with our drive drain getting overwhelmed and flooding our basement. Had an engineering firm come out they drew up plans for 42 piers, took it to Tyler who said he felt it was overkill and provided the contact for a second opinion. The second opinion said its a water management problem not a foundation problem, Tyler saved me tens of thousands of dollars. Replaced the drain, replaced all the downspouts and routed the water to the storm drain. I can not recommend Hughes construction enough.

Tyler and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. This is the second home I have had foundation issues and after having them fix the issues at the first house, I had no question who I wanted to fix the issues at my current home. The work is solid, and they left the area clean. I am very happy and Hughes Construction will be my only call for foundation work in the future.

We had a great experience with Hughes Construction. We had, what seemed to us, to be a very big project of foundation repair when we contacted them. They came out, looked over the work that needed done and gave us a date they would be able to get started on. They got started on time, and from beginning to end the entire crew as well as the office staff was focused and professional. They had come highly recommended and they did not let us down. This was an outstanding experience from a very professional company.

They were great. Very professional, responsible. On time with no surprises. I would highly recommend. The work was high quality; they coordinated with third parties and permitting office - all without a hitch. The contract price was the final price. The process was seamless - always quick to respond with answers and updates.

Highly recommend Hughes. Had a structural issue with my home where the builder cut a corner and did not position an I-beam correctly which led to a steel post to sag. A structural engineering firm produced plans and instructions which Hughes followed exactly. Hughes visited the site before estimate and worked directly with the engineering firm. Price was reasonable. Work was timely performed and the crew cleaned up daily and at the final removal of equipment.
