They pulled the correct permit, expertly cut the driveway and excavated down 8ft to the broken drain, waterproofed the exposed section, fixed the drain and drain tile, back-filled with gravel and got it inspected by the city in only 2 days (plus one day in the middle to let waterproofing dry). Big recommendation. No one else could have done it this well. Thanks to John and his crew.

John Massitti, owner of Cleveland Waterproofing Inc. and his crew are phenomenal. John explained in detail the entire process of our project mirroring the contract. Everything was done as promised. They show up when they say they will be there. They are conscientious, hard working, organized, highly skilled, knowledgeable, efficient. All their experience shows in their work, everyone has a job to do and they work well as a team.
John even had one of his men move my plants and had them put back after the project was finished. There was open communication throughout the process. He gave us peace of mine, it was fascinating watching the work in progress and we are thoroughly satisfied and happy with the results. We highly recommend them.

I refer John Massitti and Cleveland Waterproofing to all of my clients because not only do they perform outstanding work, they are incredibly knowledgeable and are straight shooters who don't have to use high pressure sales tactics that pressure a client into using them. We had some pretty major renovations on our house recently, and as part of it, we had our exterior drain lines inspected. Most were hopelessly crushed or otherwise useless, and it was just a matter of time before we got serious water in our basement.

John and his crew came highly recommended. In one visit, John was able to estimate the whole project, including all the complicated connections. His crew came in and, in ONE day, did high-grade PVC drainage on a fairly complicated property. They treated my house like it was their own, being very careful- they even dug up plants that were in the way and put them to the side, in a way that they could be replanted. His crew worked hard, smart, and professional, and didn't leave a mess, considering that they probably had to excavate about 100 yards of trench in total.

I would gladly work with John and Cleveland Waterproofing again, but honestly I don't think I will have to. They're truly craftsmen, and I have absolute faith that I am never going to have to think about my underground drains again for years.

I am very disappointed with the service I received. Communication throughout the project was poor, and it was often unclear about what work was being done and when. The job extended over several weeks, with different workers coming in and out, which added to the confusion.

At one point, a wall was torn out that I feel was unnecessary and may have been done to increase costs. Additionally, the team created a significant mess and failed to properly prepare or contain the work area beforehand. This resulted in hours of additional cleanup that could have been avoided with basic precautions like covering surfaces or setting up barriers.

There was also a lack of consideration for my situation as someone who works from home. On one occasion, they brought in a jackhammer without any prior notice, and the noise forced me to stop working for the rest of the day.

Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and would not hire them again.

You will see from picture dust everywhere and and they didn’t even finish the wall.
