Terrible experience as a Sears Home Protect customer. I purchased a Craftsman Riding Lawnmower from Sears and they offered a deal for he Sears Home Protection Plan. At the time it was great for serving my lawn mower and routine maintainace around the house. However, the customer service let down is too bad. They stopped offering any repair techs for the lawn mower and the annual A/C inspection the tech shows up at outside of the window and signed my service ticket without my content. Bad business and no longer paying them for this crap of service.

Absolutely terrible service. The ice maker on our refrigerator stopped working and someone came out on 10/22 to fix it. Before they came out, both our fridge and freezer were in perfect working condition. The tech only needed to fix the ice maker. He puts the new part in, plugs the fridge in and the whole thing didn't work. He then proceeded to tell us that they would need to order another part to fix it and it would be 2 weeks for them to come back out. (How he causes the whole unit to stop working is beyond me.) 2 weeks later, my husband stays home during the 8am-noon window and no one shows up. He calls and is told they have to reschedule our appointment. 2 weeks later (a total of FOUR weeks at this point without a refrigerator), a new tech comes out and attempts to fix it and tells me the wrong part was ordered and he has to order another part. I told him this is unacceptable and he should be embarrassed. He gave no apology, only an excuse that "the new technology is hard to understand sometimes." It is now 12/6 and a tech was supposed to come between 1-5pm and we got no call or text with a time to expect him. At 5:17pm, we received a text that our service is rescheduled for 12/24... Christmas Eve. How does anyone think this is okay? For over TWO months we have been dealing with the headache of what is known as Sears Home Service Repairs. The customer service is awful, the technicians are zero help, and their problem resolution is absolutely atrocious. They do not accept responsibility and they do not apologize for the inconvenience that their incompetence causes. We will never use this company again.
