Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had a bathroom pipe burst upstream of the sink shut off valve, within my wall and it was spewing down my basement stairs and caving in my garage ceiling! I couldn't find our main shut off, so it was urgent that I get some help! It was a Saturday and I called Roto-Rooter for an emergency visit. I called at 4:48 pm on a Saturday and by 5:15 pm there were 3 plumbers at my house helping to shut off the water and diagnose the damage. There were incredibly communicative and worked to decide whether they would have to take down any of the drywall to access the pipes, so they called in their expert Chris.

Chris definitely proved why he is the best! He professionally suggested that we don't cut out any drywall on my stairwell to access the pipes in the wall, but rather take down the ceiling dry wall in the garage to access the pipes. He then suggested cutting off the old pipes and adding a new pipe directly from the main line, up through the floor. It preserved as much of my house and minimized the most amount of damage, which was highly appreciated. His craftsmanship was top notch and he made sure that I also didn't have to get a new faucet for the sink (because mine is vintage and may not have fit standard flex tube connections). He also did a risk assessment and determined the other pipe would have also imminently leaked, so I'm so grateful he went through the floor.

Roto-Rooter will also return tomorrow with a team to remediate any moisture and make sure I don't get any black mold from the leak. Rudi also helped me submit a homeowners claim as well to help cover the cost.

Overall, I'm grateful Chris was their "master piper", as they referred to him. The whole team was great but Chris was very trustworthy, with a gentle and respectful personality. I would also add that as a woman who has lived alone in the past, Chris made me feel very comfortable as a woman and I would have felt very comfortable with him in my house if I were alone with him.

Late night toilet plugged call for help.
Got a call from James within minutes of my call for service saying he would give me call if he would be able to make it out. 11:37pm he called to say he could make it out. Didn’t take much time with the right tool.
