Cleveland Spray Foam. Steve is an experienced professional doing great work. In April, 2026 he insulated my daughter’s Lakewood basement (I was project manager) using closed cell spray foam. Steve made a thorough assessment on his initial visit taking into account the various logistic challenges associated with a 100-year old unfinished basement. On job day he showed up on time, well equipped for the task. He meticulously prepared the site by masking off the perimeter. Then he carefully sprayed a 2 inch layer of foam from the top band joist to the floor, for the entire basement. Upon completion he did a final walk-through inspection and full clean-up. His price was fair and he was very accommodating with scheduling. Along the way he always gave good advice and consideration to our needs and plans for a finished basement recreation room.

These days, winter mornings are considerably cozier. Although it was somewhat expensive up front, the reduced energy costs and fewer chilly drafts made the purchase seem worthwhile.

Mike was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about trees, grass, plants and even wild animals that pertained to my yard. He did stump grind 3 stumps for me that were in a difficult area and planted grass afterwards. He offered to clean up all the brush in my yard and trimmed some dead branches off trees. I highly recommend!

We hired Michael to regrade/fill our gravel driveway after seeing his Instagram page. He came out to give the quote and spent an hour walking our property and dropping all kinds of knowledge on the trees/woods and teaching us ignorant folk how to take care of things. It was amazing and right away showed how much he cares and wants to do things the right way.

He was extremely diligent about communication, transparent and on top of things when it came time for him to do the driveway. While he waited for the stone to arrive he regraded and seeded a large portion of our yard that was all torn up, moved some heavy rocks, cleared out a bunch of brush and somehow left everything spotless. The driveway is perfection and looks better than it ever has. I honestly can’t believe one person did all that work!

Michael earned our complete trust and was a joy to work with and have around. It is invigorating to meet people so passionate about their work and Michael cares more about your yard than you do, I promise!

We are very pleased with the work Forest City Land and Water had performed. Every part of the job exceeded our expectations. The work included tilling up the old yard, leveling it out, and spreading topsoil in preparation for new lawn seed. The tiller machine turned the hard-packed clay (which felt like concrete) into a finer base so that water and nutrients can penetrate the ground for a healthy new lawn. The owner, Mike, was very easy to talk to and had a great deal of expertise. He went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy.

Mike created a beautiful pond for my backyard. It has completely transformed my space.

I had a large tree branch fall and crush my car in my driveway. Not the best of situations. My insurance needed the branch removed before doing anything. I contacted multiple landscaping/tree companies to try and get a quote and get it done ASAP. Mike was by far the best to deal with and was even able to come out the next day. Some of the bigger tree companies quoted up to 5x what he charged and said "maybe next week"! He also went out of his way to help me with the rest of the tree's health, and cut stumps I wanted for a project. Can't recommend enough.

Totally transformed the space! Mike's work is excellent. He was honest and thoughtful about how things were going, and communicated well throughout. Even my neighbors two doors down were commenting on how nice and friendly he is. I would absolutely recommend him, and would definitely hire him again. If you want a pond designed to be the best pond it can be, you want it done by Forest City Land & Water. Mike has many different specialties that he brings into his projects. His knowledge of forestry work, excavation, fish and waterfowl habitat, native plants, and habitat restoration is incredible. The pond is designed to balance the best of safety/recreation/fishing/aesthetic/habitat. Before we even broke ground Mike wanted to know what kinds of fish we would have so he could design accordingly. He will also let you be involved in every step of the project and take the time to teach you what he is doing. He is truly working to help build a better world one habitat at a time!

The worst mistake we made in our home renovation was hiring Scalish. They took shortcuts, didn't communicate effectively, gave poor results and went significantly over budget and over the time frame. Just don't do it.
