They build a home for my very elderly parents which sometimes can be difficult. This company worked very close with them and were very accommodating and respectful. They love their home !

Want to thank American Heritage and their whole team on completion of our new home...Bill, Curtis, Chris, Brandy, Maggie, Emily and Suzy were all very kind and helpful and made this build nearly stress free...They welcomed us into the American Heritage family and let us know afterwards that if we needed anything to contact them anytime...thanks again Randy and Cathy !!!

Good quaility overall, poor communication. With a small builder like American heritage they struggle with correspondence and details when taking on too much work. Important details being missed can cost in both time and money.

Do NOT use this builder. We paid them for services and they completely let us down. Now it looks like our only option is to file a lawsuit to get our money back. Very disappointed. Wish we would have never trusted them in the first place.

So far so good, we've only just begun the process. But Tracee has been very kind, patient and helpful. As we are still in paperwork I cannot attest to the build yet.

My husband and I just finished building our first home together and we couldn't be more happier with the way it turned out! American Heritage nailed our ideas and made them come alive! From the moment we walked in to their office, till they left us with our keys we had an amazing adventure building our forever home! Thank you American Heritage for everything!!!!!

Be careful if you are considering this company as your builder. In my experience with them, the staff will make promises and statements that the ownership will not honor. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want to have an actual custom home built. In my opinion, they seem to lack the ability and desire to do much more than make modifications to their standard plans.

American Heritage was awesome to work with. We were able to work with one project manager through the entire build. We were able to easily modify a standard plan to fit what we wanted. The owner was involved in the process from Pre construction to the final walk through. We had visited several other builders prior to selecting AHH. These other builders used heavy sales tactics, and/or dismissed us as we did all lot prep. American Hertiage Homes we’re down to earth, and transparent. Thank you for being an honest builder and for our beautiful home!

We built our home in 2001 # 271 Believe in the scheme of Americans Heritages numbering plan. On poured Walls set to the correct grade and an amazing home. We are 15 years in the home and do not even have a crack in the drywall, which is unheard of. All the hardwood trim is as tight as the day we moved in, 6 panel doors the same. All appliances (Furnace, Hot Water Heater) are still 100% - and best of all NO SQUEAKY FLOORS.
If we would do it again - These are the guys !!!!

I was thrilled to begin building my first new house. Now after waiting on Bill Crum to finish it I have nothing but regrets. Greg, the main contractor was never on site when I stopped in. I only saw him when something was wrong and I requested we meet. One example is the dryer vent was not hooked up and the drywall was put up over it. I told Greg but he didn't believe me. He had me look through all my photos because he didn't want to take down a couple pieces of drywall. I insisted. I was correct. My tub was installed with a crack. Water poured through the ceiling to my bathroom below. Bill Crum went against manufacturer and industry standards that called for a complete replacement by only wanting to patch the tub even after being told I would only be able to use it as a shower due to iminate failure of the patch. He said I was making a mountain out of a mole hill. I paid to replace the tub with a steel tub and tile to avoid more issues with their inferior products. I told Bill I expect reimbursement for half the labor. He offered an insulting $350.00. My gutters have an inverted fall. Four people have looked at them just to waste my time taking off work. Bill himself came a few weeks ago. I refused to take off work again and meet him. My work order inquiries and emails to Bill are still going unanswered and nothing is being done to fix the gutters. I filed a complaint with the BIA only to have Bill tell me they would side with him. I guess we will see. Back door does not latch. Carpet company has never shown up and painting not finished. Ive put in numerous work orders and sent many emails. I posted a review on their Facebook page and it mysteriously disappeared along with another negative review from someone else. Do yourself a favor and go with another builder.

I'm surprised to see my review come back on your site since you took mine and another person's negative review down. Why would I accept a patch on my brand new bathtub in my brand new house? Your warranty team is a joke as is the BIA. You have never fixed the poor paint job that you, Bill Crum, stood in my side yard and stated "I get it. The paint job is bad". You've never looked at the wavy roof, fixed the gutter to which I had a dove build a nest in with no worries of it getting washed away since it doest drain, caulked where the siding was cut too short behind my electric box or done anything to make the bathroom right even after it cost me $6000.00 to fix. Good thing I paid to have the house inspected by OPIS since they are the ones that found the roof and siding issue. Not that you care. Attached are a few pictures of the issues for people reading this review. I've attached a sample of the many nail pops that you at first refused to paint. The other pictures are of the terrible paint job you did painting them. Retaliation I presume.
It took 3 times to get the windows fixed. I've taken off work over 80 hours to get things fixed.
This is the mess I still have while you have my $300,000.00. I paid you on time and did everything I was supposed to do. You, Bill Crum, and your company have not...

2-9-23. Update. I'm still waiting on my issues to be resolved.

3-30-23. Update. NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED!!! My paint job is still ruined and I am out over $2000 that I paid extra to upgrade the paint. DO NOT use this builder!!!!!

1-8-24. Still waiting to get reimbursement for the extra $2000.00 I paid extra to upgrade my paint so I can pay someone else to fix the mess my walls are in thanks to Bill Crum.

8-16-24. Update. Still waiting and still have a ruined paint job in my home. Please use a different builder and read the BBB complaints. I'm not the only one with complaints .

12-10-24 - Update. Still waiting. Still have the ruined paint job throughout my home with absolutely no regard from American Heritage. Still out the extra money I paid to upgrade the paint. Right is right and wrong is wrong. This is very very wrong.

American Heritage built our home. Their team was full of good people who cared about the homeowner and the process. They were also not pushy or trying to oversell. The process was transparent and I would recommend them to others.
