What a stellar team! Our experience with STG Electric and Brittany as the lead exceeded our expectations. We are in a complex home and this team found their path, executed the plan in great time! Highly recommend!

I've just had STG out for the third time. I keep going back because the quality of their work, communication and follow-through is at a level I'd hope to experience by other service providers. This time Jared and Elijah were on my job. The two did a wonderful job for me, and in cold conditions too. They and STG are always top-notch.

We have used STG multiple times and without fail they always exceed our expectations! Their employees are not just knowledgeable electricians but also are extremely kind and friendly! They explain everything and answer all questions before they leave. They also inform you of exactly what they did, where the lines/wires run, and they make sure the working area is cleaned up nicely after the job. We plan to have more work done in the near future by STG.

I found STG electric thru Ting via State Farm insurance. There was since electrical issues in my house and when Brittany and Kyle came out they were able to settle my possible electrical hazard issues while working with Ting which had some bumps working with them to get everything taken care of. Brittany is an excellent electrician and very knowledgeable and friendly! Kyle was great also! It is because of their excellent work with my issues with Ting that I decided to hire them to do some work at my house which they did today and did a great job! I may be at a place that I need to replace my electrical panel in my basement, and with only hire STG electric if I need to. Furthermore I would only allow Brittany and Kyle to do anything moving forward. STG, you should be thankful you have these employees.
Super highly recommended STG electric for your needs!!!! -
This is my second experience with this team and they did not disappoint. This time they replaced my whole home generator/transfer switch and the guys did a great job. They ensured everything was done right and explained everything in detail. Highly recommend.

STG team was very professional. They did an excellent job. The engineer and electrician were very knowledgeable and patient. The work they did was excellent.
They came out for the final inspection with the city inspector and answered all of our questions.
They even worked with us during some damaged to our service caused by a delivery driver.
There are a great company. -
STG was a recommended installer from Tesla's website and I filled out the form on STG to be contacted and within 20 minutes I received a call from Ryan who was professional and answered all my questions. I was able to get my Tesla Wall Connector installed 7 days later during my scheduled appointment.
The electrician was Brittany who did an amazing job, completing this service as I requested with location of the unit and upgrading the necessary equipment needed to safely make my unit work. Brittany was professional, answered all my questions, and had this installed in a very short amount of time. This led me to believe this company knows what they are doing when it comes to EV installs, there was no hassle at all, and overall I am impressed by the service. I would recommend this company to anyone who is in the EV charging market or for any future standard electrical needs. Thank you! -
I have owned a service company for 30+ years - with hundreds of commercial and residential clients. I gave 30 FT and over 200 seasonal employees. I KNOW GREAT SERVICE WHEN I SEE IT! STG gave me great service!!
The office person was polite, professional and very easy to deal with. Scheduled a quick - next day appt. Frank was a great guy! Professional, polite, affable, knowledgeable electrician. Got in. Did the job. Got out. Effective and efficient at trouble shooting a challenging issues. I've already advised my own staff, if we need electricians for my own company and our clients, to call STG!

We used this company last year when storms left us without power for days. We decided to get a generac and found this company. We were pleased with the service and also a year later they came and did our 1 year maintenance (fee applies). This year the power went out the day of my dad's funeral. It was then she decided to get a generator. Her neighbors wanted one as well. I recommended STG Electric and they came out explained everything and now my mom and the neighbors have a generator. Everyone is pleased with this company. Customer service and support is wonderful. One of the installers broke a wire and it was fixed and installation finished in the same week. I recommended this company to anyone. Brendan was awesome, all the installers and rest of the staff will get whatever you need done.

After years of occasional power outages, my wife and I decided that we needed to invest in a whole house stand-by generator. We looked at a couple of different brands but ultimately chose Generac and we also chose a local installer, STG Electric Services in Macedonia, Ohio. We got a quote and put money down. A few weeks later the installation was started. The crew from STG kept us informed about what was being done and if there was a change they came to us first to explain it before doing it. The installation was very neat and tidy, actually what I would call "elegant." The whole installation took about one and a half days. The test outage went flawlessly. Before finishing, one of the crew took me on a tour of the entire installation and explained how the generator would function in a power outage. He also indicated that if there was ever any question about any issues with the unit we would be able to contact someone about it 24/7. The unit itself is nicely styled and blends in very well with our home. It is not just a big rectangular box. The components of the installation looked very well made. Based on our experience, I would be very happy to recommend Generac but more importantly I would recommend STG Electric Services for the installation and maintenance of a home generator.

QMerit set me up for an EV charger install with STG. Ryan and Frank were great. Extremely knowledgeable on recommending a charger and what was needed. Took some time to get scheduled but Brittany and Kyle were awesome installers. Prompt arrival, friendly, fast, super clean installation. Can’t recommend them enough.

The STG family was great. Brian and Elijah did a great job installing our generator, they were very professional and respectful. After the installation Elijah was very thorough going over everything. We would definitely recommend STG Electric.

STG does great work ..... especially impressed with and appreciative of Carl !!!!
Class person and excellent electrician.... -
STG Electric was fantastic to work with on the purchase and install of my Generac whole house generator. Everything from Sales, Installation and communication from the office was outstanding. Marcus the sales associate was very knowledgable and helpful with my installation questions. The installation team of Elijah & Jared (with 1-R) the electric and Kice & Jarred (with 2-R's) were awesome and very considerate of timing. My wife had knee replacement and had PT on the day of delivery instead of cancelling PT, Elijah said "we will be done in time, don't cancel. They were true to their word. Vannah was communicated through the entire process and was the liaison between me and the county inspector. Vannah personally delivered the keys to Generac as Elijah had the keys as he was doing some final programming to the unit as he moved the truck and let my wife and I out of the driveway to go to PT. I mention their names as from my perspective they're the A-TEAM. Perhaps STG is full of A-Teams, but I can only comment on the people I had the absolute pleasure to deal with.
I highly recommend STG Electric!

STG Electric Services recently completed the installation of an electric charging unit for our EV vehicle at my house. I could not have been more pleased with the entire process, as they were responsive, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. The installation was not an easy one, as they had to re-route various wires from the basement to the garage, however they did so seamlessly and without any major adjustments to the drywall downstairs or in the garage. I highly recommend STG for future electric needs as I will certainly be using their services again in the future!

In July my company informed me that I would be assigned an electric vehicle for work. They used a third-party company called Qmerit to facilitate the home charger installation and assigned me to STG Electric for the installation. Keep in mind that first and foremost the rule by my company and Qmerit was that any home installation had to be done exactly to my satisfaction regardless of cost. This put me at ease because I had just purchased my home in late 2022 and really did not want any hiccups while electrical work was done in my brand-new home that was only 7 months old.
STG electric sent out Ryan S. for a pre installation walk through and we went over the available options for installation. Since this was a new electrical panel and all circuit breakers were assigned and the panel was maxed out, Ryan gave me two options, either of which were fine by me. One was to insert a tandem breaker dedicated to the EV within the panel. The second option was to add on a sub-panel with a dedicated circuit breaker for the electric vehicle. There was never any mention of doubling up or, “Double Tapping” any existing circuit breakers, let alone doing anything to the existing connections. Obviously, I was okay with this since my home builder has set up the electrical panel the way they did for a reason and it was not to be messed with due to circuit-load configuration.
A week later, STG sent out Brittany L. to perform the installation. This is where everything went south quickly. Instead of either of the two options discussed, Brittany decided to rip out the bottom two circuit breakers in my panel, overload them onto each other and then jammed in a new circuit breaker for the electric vehicle. Please see the attached image of her work. The following morning, we started to trip circuit breakers and couldn’t even use the lights or exhaust fans in any of our bathrooms because Brittany had overloaded or “Double-Tapped” these circuit breakers and tied every bathroom and the upstairs hallway onto the same circuit breaker. It was extremely frustrating that STG had essentially a blank-check to perform this task, they did not perform either agreed upon method of installation and did something totally different. They did something that the company who fixed their work called “Lazy, cheap, unsafe and against electrical code.”
Needless to say, I was done with STG Electric after they totally messed up the electric infrastructure in my new home, not to mentioned that they voided the 2 Year manufacturer warranty on our electric panel. I spoke with Qmerit and fired STG Electric and was assigned to another electric company who would come out to my home and fix the panel correctly by expanding the panel so there was room for the electric vehicle breaker, and setting the breakers back to their original configuration. To my surprise, this new electrical company told me that every, single job they do for Qmerit in regards to an electric vehicle installation had to be inspected by the county (Lake) before the job is done. STG never required any type of county inspection after their work.
The new company came out and did the work as promised. My electrical panel was expanded to accommodate the electric vehicle breaker, everything was set back to the way the home builder had set it up in the first place and the Lake County inspector approved of the job. The new electric company called the job that STG Electric did on my home, “Cheap, lazy, unsafe and borderline illegal.” The inspector from Lake County viewed the attached picture and told me it was against code. He said if I ever went to sell my home it would never pass inspection and that “double tapped” breakers are a safety hazard.
I caution anyone against using STG Electric for work in your home. They came into my home, did not complete a job as promised, left me with breakers tripping, did work that a certified electrical inspector from Lake County called “Un-Safe and border-line Illegal,” and STG management (Tom P.) called it a “difference of opinion.” -
STG Electric Services truly stands behind their work. When my Generac whole-house generator failed to function properly - a critical issue since it protects my 85-year-old mother during power outages - STG went above and beyond to resolve the problem.
Despite being nearly 2 hours from my location, their team made multiple trips to diagnose and fix the issue. They even identified a problem that Generac wasn't aware of in their installation process. STG's commitment to customer service in the tri-state area is outstanding.
This is the kind of company you want on your side when problems arise. They don't just install and walk away - they're there for you when you need them most. Highly recommended! -
Work was done in one day to what we requested and when we needed it done. Electricians were very professional and accommodating. Met all our expectations.

I recently utilized STG for a whole home generator. I was impressed when I first reached out for a quote because they beat my big box store quote by 30%. But I was even more impressed by the service and installers.
These guys showed up one of the hottest days of the year and worked their butts off. Their professionalism and skills were over the top.
I will be sure to call STG for any future electrical needs. -
Elijah and his assistant were great guys. Very professional and accommodating. Patient and explained all my concerns and very friendly guys. Quality work looks great and always checking if it was what I wanted and liked. Would definitely use them again.
Thanks STG! -
Simply put, dealing with STG was an unpleasant experience. The only reason I am giving it two stars instead of one, is due to Vanna (spelling) in the office.
I originally contacted STG for an estimate for a whole home generator due to their decent reviews! Well, it did not go well.
I originally got an estimate around fall of 2024. The estimate came out to 11,600 dollars. I felt it was reasonable and elected to move forward with the project.
Well, upwards of 6 months later and extra money/fees, I am writing this negative review.
My original estimate said that the dealer (STG) is responsible for the fuel line install (propane). Well, during the first install appointment a technician said he would call the company that supplies our propane. It then turned into getting a call from STG asking if I had found someone to install the propane line??? So I then spent time contacting companies to install the propane line and could not find anyone to do it. After some time Vanna in the office had me contact the company they used???? So why was it my responsibility in the first place and secondly why didn’t STG just use them to start? Well, that company was awesome and installed the line quickly, but I had to pay the bill of 750.00 dollars. Then it took two more install days to complete the project.
On top of the ridiculous amount of time and appointments to complete this project, me spending an extra 750.00 to install a propane line that wasn’t my responsibility, I also had to pay 3% in fees for paying with a debit card instead of mailing a check? Who writes checks anymore? So I paid around an extra 300 dollars in fees due to using a card? I have had upwards of 20k to other companies for other projects and not one charged me card fees…
On top of all of that, after one of my install appointments I noticed that a light in the basement was left on all day as well as the panel cover was left off of an electrical panel.
I was going to email STG regarding all of this, but there was no email on the “contact us” page of their website.
Overall I was quite unhappy with this company but Vanna was a shining star at times.
