Normally, as an HOA board member you only hear complaints but since Carmel has been our landscaping and snow removal company I have been getting compliments and and praise for the great job Jim and his employees provide us. They go out of their way to do a top-notch job whether it is cutting the grass or plowing the snow. I can always depend that they will do the work in a professional manner. We are more than pleased. Carmel is a great company to work with.

We have been working with Jim Mudri and his team at Carmel Landscapes for several years now. During that time, they have reliably performed high quality snowplowing and lawn mowing services for us. They have always been responsive to our needs and are both prompt in clear in their communication. After the recent tornado, Jimmy reached out to me directly to see if we had sustained any damage from the storm and to ask if we required any additional services. As it turned out, we were out of town when the storm hit and didn't know if there had been any damage. Jimmy promptly sent a team out to assess and report back that there had been no significant damage. I was so impressed by how proactive Jimmy was and grateful that he went above and beyond the call of duty to inspect the property in our absence. I can't recommend Carmel highly enough!

Carmel did several large projects at our home and we are very happy with the results. Major retaining wall replacement, water drainage remediation, and general landscaping work. They are great to work with and would recommend!

2nd year with using Carmel Landscapes for snow removal. I believe it’s Angela that does my driveway and she does an excellent job.

Called for a fall clean up and a crew of 2 men came too early in the month when not all leaves were down. They did a good job but I think they got a little tired toward the finish and missed some spots.

Carmel's crew did a fabulous job on the property. Spring clean-up, shrub replacement, mulching - they were on-time, efficient and Jimmy was very responsive from my first call and through job completion. Excellent experience! Highly recommend.

A huge thank you to Jerry for his outstanding service this winter plowing our driveway. He always goes above and beyond every time he’s at our house. This has been a brutal winter and he consistently shows up 24 -7. Highly recommend Carmel Landscape. The Falls.

While I'm sure they are one of the best landscaping and snowplowing businesses in the area, at least one of their employees is an unsafe driver (of a snowplow truck). I observed the driver pass a car along Tare Creek in Middlefield (which has a double-solid yellow line for its entire length), and then they proceeded to tailgate the car that was now in front of them. While continuing along Tare Creek, the driver of the truck made an erratic turn from the left-hand turning lane into the right-hand turning lane (at the route 87 intersection) - almost hitting the car that was moving into the left-hand turning lane. This happened on 12/2/25 at about 3:15 PM. I just hope the next time this driver decides to operate their truck in a similar fashion, they remember someone telling them to own up to driving unsafely. Otherwise, who knows what kind of accident could occur if they continue to drive like this in the future.

12/26/25: what I find interesting is a business owner who allows an employee to operate recklessly and unsafely. While the quality of work performed for your customers is very important, getting to and from a job safely is probably even more important. Or maybe safety just isn't something that concerns the owner of Carmel Landscapes? A simple "I'll look into this incident" would've sufficed...but instead, they chose to ignore a potential customer's concerns. If the owner can't be bothered to respond to what was explained in the above paragraph (basically ignoring what was said) - what else might they ignore or overlook? Hmmm...

12/29/25: Someone from Carmel Landscapes did finally respond today to the incident described in my posting. My concern is they found no issue with their snow plow truck driver operating in an unsafe manner and passing another vehicle on a double-solid yellow line road.

Matthew re-placed stones that had been moved by the snowplow. Did a great job! And with friendly service.

Jimmy and his crew did a fantastic job installing our stone patio and fireplace! He and his crew were professional, courteous and dependable. The end result exceeded our expectations. We plan to use Carmel for future projects. His work is top quality!
