Long overdue review. From start to finish for our attic remodeling project completed last Spring for our 100+ year old Lakewood home , Rob and his team were professional, responsive, transparent, and timely in all aspects of the process. Starting with the quoting process, we received quotes at different price points depending on the scope of work that could be done, and we were provided feedback of the pros and cons in going with different options without feeling like we were being "upsold" to the higher priced options. We sat on the quote for about a year before we made a decision to go with Big Bear. Throughout the project, we received regular updates on progress, including a weekly itinerary to allow us to prepare as needed for the week ahead. Because most of the work was done "in-house" through the Big Bear team rather than through sub-contractors, they were generally able to stay on schedule. Having gone through other remodeling projects for our older home, issues popping up are nearly inevitable, but Rob and his team were quick to address any issues, questions, or concerns that came up throughout the renovation. Nearly a year after the project was completed, Rob reached out to make sure we were satisfied with the project and if any touch up was needed. They were quick to come out to fix a seam in the ceiling that had slighly opened up. We will look at using Big Bear again as we determine any future projects on our home.

Excellent porch replacement

Was very pleased with the work. Will surely hire them again for more work. Rob and Crew were fantastic. Highly recommend them.

There was not much to like about my tiny bathroom, from the stinky lowered ceiling to the stained linoleum flooring. The guys gutted the bathroom – took out the nasty ceiling, tile walls, tub, cheap plastic tub surround that leaked into the basement, MDF vanity, old toilet and built-in cabinet. They fixed the holes in the floor, reclaimed the window space that the previous owner had covered over, installed a skylight, and replaced some of the old plumbing in the basement. Then they put in a properly-sloped floor with lovely basketweave green marble and an infinity drain, tiled the walls with a similar green marble subway tile, refinished the top of the wall and the ceiling, installed a quiet fan, vanity and overhead lighting. They put in a dainty pedestal sink, low-flow toilet, shower and curtain rod, and rescued an original door found in the attic and installed it in place of the cheap hollow-core door.

Rob and the Big Bear team completed our kitchen remodel during Covid. Not only was the final product amazing but on time and budget as well. We highly recommend Big Bear Remodeling.

We had our kitchen remodeled by BB in 2019. People continue to comment on the amazing craftsmanship. They went out of their way to make sure the woodwork matches the original woodwork of our home. The staff is outstanding and professional. I highly recommend them.

Rob and his crew fixed up my bathroom. The finishing results are great. We were very happy with the job done and the crew made the experience easy for us. Will definitely use again in the future and would recommend to friends and family.

From the moment Rob Young walked into my parents' house until his associates left with their tools, they were consummate professionals. Rob was kind and patient with my elderly parents explaining the entire process and costs. His associates were courteous and completed my parents' bathroom renovation in less than two full days. The entire schedule was timely -- no surprises.

Great service from start to finish. Big Bear plumbing installed our new hot water heater. We did have any issues and they were very glad to work around our schedules. It cost us about $2200, they made it quick and easy. Thank you!

I had spoken to 21 different contractors about what I needed done with my house. Most didn't even call back. Tyler, from Big Bear Remoldeling called back right away. He was so helpful and honest. With talking about my project, he informed me on the round about cost. It was a real eye opener but a correct conversation that I needed. I realized that I was 20 grand shy of what this job will cost me. His honesty and compassion helped me navigate through my options and stark reality check. Even though I couldn't hire this company, nor anyone else, I so appreciated he kindness and advice. He was the only one out of 20 different companies that showed such respect for me and my family. Because of Tyler's advice, I will be able to get the job done but at a slower pace and more within my budget. If Tyler is any example of this company's reputations and standards, I feel certain, it would have been a company I would have gladly hired and loved to have worked with. Tyler, You Rock!

Got both bathrooms remodeled in my condo, including new tub, custom walk in tile shower, and custom tile floors. Fantastic experience from beginning to end and exceeded my expectations. Helped me through the design stage while still staying respectful of my budget. Was very prompt and professional during the construction phase and throughout. Great communication throughout the process and was very accessible if I had any questions. Ensured top quality work was done (even higher than my expectations and my own high standards). Also did great follow up service to ensure that I was happy. The project finished on time and was great quality. Mark was the main tile guy and did a great job. I would highly recommend Big Bear and plan to use them again in the future.

I highly recommend Big Bear Remodeling. You cannot find a better individual to work with than Rob Young with Big Bear Remodeling. From the first meeting, I could tell Rob was very knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy to deal with. There are always going to be ups and downs on a project. The nice thing about Rob is he will work with you and bend over backwards to make sure your project comes out to your liking. He also is flexible in allowing you to pick up items yourself or he will order for you while always being conscious about keeping you in budget. The job did run a little over the time estimate to complete. As long as you stay patient you will not be disappointed.

We live an an old Lakewood home and wanted to update the kitchen and add a mud room. The Big Bear crew did an exceptional job. They were very responsive and attentive to detail. Good communication and quality workmanship made them a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Big Bear!

We give Big Bear Remodeling a solid A++. We met with Rob, the owner, initially for a couple of fun hours to decide the course of action for a complete bathroom renovation, including new flooring, wall paint, acrylic surround with a new tub and new copper piping and more.

We appreciated that he had samples and/or catalogs with him for us to choose most of what we wanted that same day. It was an easy, stress-free process. Rob was patient, knowledgeable, and economically priced.

We found a few of the miscellaneous fixtures on an internet source when Plan A (checking two major home improvement stores Rob initially suggested) didn't have the unique look we were going for. He was all for Plan B, and he immediately ordered our lighting, medicine cabinet, etc. from the on-line distributor instead.

Everything was delivered directly to our home the next week, which was very efficient for the workers.

Rob was quick to respond to any questions or concerns during the process. He definitely puts the customer first. At the final inspection, he found a very minor flaw in the paint near an outlet. He insisted that someone would be scheduled to come out to repair it.

Big Bear Remodeling is an excellent company. The ownership ensures that they employ professional staff that are knowledgeable and extremely skilled at whatever task they are assigned to. Big Bear Remodeling has people on staff...they are actual employees. This is good because it limits the need to sub-contract services to other companies. Big Bear remodeling completed a significant rehabilitation of a previously vacant and foreclosed home for Western Reserve Community Development Corporation, of which, I am the Executive Director, This home is now a beautiful showplace for the current tenant, and is sustainable as a rental property for a long time to come. Ownership spends a lot of time to ensure that the proper materials, and designs are used in each project so that the project space is being utilized to its fullest potential. All of the work is also very competitively priced.

The entire crew was very easy to work with. They did quality work and were very respectful of our home and work space(s); both my husband and I work from home.

The price for the scope of work performed was reasonable, but very professional, at the same time.

Communication was very good and our questions/concerns were always addressed in a timely manner.

We will be using them again, for future home remodel projects.

We chose Big Bear to do a full remodel of our kitchen & half-bath in our century home. It turned out even better than expected & the level of communications during the project was amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to use them for future renovations.
