Couldn't get ahold of them .

Came out for an estimate , said he would call us the following week with it....never heard from anyone.

We needed some plumbing and tile work done in our bathroom. We called once and left a message asking to call us back and wrote to them via their website to see if someone could come out to check it out. We never heard from them. I guess they didn't want our business.

I had a leaking roof, and he came out and we both agreed that it might be caused by improper flashing, so flashing was replaced.....still leaked.....so we figured it was the transition from shingle roof to flat roof.....haven't been able to get a hold of him since then to do the work.... after countless attempts....I'm moving on to someone who wants to run an actual business. DO NOT HIRE HIM.....HE WONT ANSWER!!!

Professional, courteous handyman. Hired him to clean our gutters, and he showed up when promised, did a great job, and went above and beyond by also clearing our front yard of leaves without charging us more. Would absolutely hire again.

Hired Jacob to replace some gutters and install leaf gutter guard early May 2018. Quote was for approx $2,800 and he needed half down to secure materials - which I sent and was deposited mid May. Project was to be completed in ''approx 2 weeks' and this is how everything went down over last 3 months....

On 6/6 was advised we were scheduled for 6/15 to have work done

On 6/18 was advised he had installer issues and wanted to reschedule for week of 6/25 - I said sure

On 6/29 I reached out asking for an update as I hadn't heard anything nor was the work done. Was told he would out Tues 7/3. Note we are 6 weeks (not 2 as quoted) into this project at this time

On 7/3 was told they would be out 7/5 and 7/6

On 7/5 was told they'd be out 7/6 and 7/7

On 7/6 was told they couldn’t do it due to medical reasons and check would be refunded ASAP.

On 7/11 I reached out for refund check status as I hadn’t received it and didn’t get a response

On 7/12 I reached out again and was told refund check would be mailed out 7/13

On 7/19 I reached out yet again and was told it would be refunded soon.

It’s now 8/6 and still no refund check has been received. I have submitted a complaint with the BBB and plan to take them to small claims court to get my $$ back. I am also going to reach out to 13abc news since they did a story on him last month about screwing over a family with a disabled kid (he cashed the check and never did the work). He has 5 star reviews up until 2017 but appears to be as crooked as they come based on all of my experiences with him.

Workers gave prompt fair estimate before work began.
They worked our job in even sooner than promised and competed it the same day.
Very professional and courteous and even fixed a door on his own that wasn't part of the job for no extra charge.

They dumped us: took money and ran away. We signed a contract to remodel our kitchen and paid half of the price right away.. Jacob''s ladder carried out the demolition and put floor boards for tiles, and then walked away to not show any again. The company CEO was inventive enough to keep me on hook verbal (no writing exchange) saying that he was experiencing personal troubles. He cut the communications as I asked him to go in writing.. I hired another company and it turned out that Jacob's ladder screwed up all the electrics (cost me $ 1200 to fix) and tile baseboard. (another $1000) What a shame! We'll have them responsible in court. They are swindlers.

Jacob, Mike, Doug, and the rest of the team did great work. From the evaluation of my roof, the issues that were identified and explained, to the completed work, the whole experience was very pleasant and reasonably priced as well. I will definitely contact Jacob's Ladder again should I need additional service.

Doing business with Jacob's Ladder was a great experience. They were very professional. They showed up on time every day and always cleaned up before leaving. They did a good job and we are very happy with the results. Their fees are reasonable and the work was done on time. We are looking forward to working with them again in the near future.

I would highly recommend Jacobs Ladder. They are incredibly responsive and do high quality work. On two separate occasions, I needed some emergency work completed due to wind damage to my siding and flashing. Understanding the urgency to complete the repair before more siding was damaged, they came out within hours to complete the work at a very reasonable price. On top of the high-quality work, all of the employees of Jacobs Ladder were very professional. I frankly am a difficult person to please due to my expectations, but Jacobs Ladder exceed all of my expectations.

A disabled child. YOU STOLE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM A 12 YR OLD DISABLED CHILDS FAMILY! We hired Jacob’s Ladder to build a handicapped accessible ramp and deck that would allow our son to get around in his wheelchair and use his backyard to play like he’s been wanting to do ever since we moved in to our home. At first everything was great. Jacob came out right away and was very convincing and after much research we decided to go with him. We agreed that he would have our project completed by a certain date. We gave him 50% down as a deposit. Not only is it not completed, it hasn’t even been started. Jacob has never been out since he left with our money. He has sent numerous texts over the last month stating all sorts of excuses. Most recently that he was working with the owner of another company to help with our project. I spoke with that owner and he has never been in contact with Jacobs Ladder regarding our project. Now Jacob won’t answer calls, text or reply to my emails. Recent reviews I’m seeing look like this has been a trend lately. Unfortunately, those reviews came after we signed our contract. All we want is our money back. If you’re looking for someone to actually show up and complete the job you pay for, please learn from our mistake and DO NOT CALL THIS MAN!

We bought a house and came across Jacobs Ladder when we needed siding. They did a wonderful job on the siding and since then we had them do a concrete patio, insulation in the attic, total remodeling of our kitchen (removing a wall) and tile floor in our bathroom. Absolutely wonderful company to work with and I am very pleased with the professionalism and results of their work. I would highly recommend Jacobs Ladder to anyone with a small or large job that needs done in your home.

Jacobs Ladder crew did an amazing job on my roof replacement from start to finish. They started at 6:45am and were completed by 1pm. Clean up was completed and I have to say that you would have never known that any contractors were even at my home. A+++ to them and we will recommend this business in the future.

We had John and his crews remodeled our bathroom and we loved what they’ve done and would recommend and have Handy Hubby do other jobs again in the future. John made everything clear and very professional since the beginning. His crews (Jack and everyone) are polite and always on time and really work to get things done. Once they started, they’re very fast and clean. Thank you so much.

I have used Handy Hubby for multiple projects since 2013 when they added a bathroom in my upstairs and remodeled the one downstairs, just recently in June 2017 doing a partial remodel of my kitchen with a few smaller projects in between. John and his crew are fantastic. The work has always been beautiful, response time great and if I have any complaint no matter how minor it has been address to my satisfaction and all work has been done a very fair price . I would highly recommend Handy Hubby and have to friends and family!

Handy Hubby did a great job! John, Jack and Rob were great to work with. They took out kneel walls to a sunken living room, remodeled my bathroom and put in a beautiful porcelain tile shower and installed my great luxury vinyl flooring. They did a great job. Eric, Julian and Chris did a fine job for us. Porch & garage repairs, plumbing were all handled well. The most impressive work was milling and refinishing our massive butcher block- it looks fantastic in our kitchen!

Handy Hubby has done a number of home improvement projects on our house. The latest home project has been putting in a deck in our back yard, clearing away brush for landscaping, building a wooden walkway to our back yard, building wooden planters in our front yard, and putting new siding on our house. For all of the work they have done for us my wife and I could not be more pleased with the quality of their work and their reliability in getting the job done when they said it was going to be done. We strongly recommend this company for home improvement projects!!!

Handy Hubby (John) was fantastic to work with. He took care of details on our large kitchen remodel. He stayed in touch through out the entire project, was timely, and the craftsmanship was top notch. He even came back to make a few changes after fully paid and the project was complete. I would use him and his crew's again and recommend to anyone looking to do some home improvements. Awesome contractor!
