I had a1 heating out today to install my new furnace. I am happy to say they did an amazing job. Chris Smith was very knowledge and very professional.The service guys also did a great job installing the new unit. I would highly recommend this company for all your HVAC needs. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

A1 came out to check furnace after it stopped working after installing a Google nest. The worker made multiple comments that the Nest was not able to run an American furnace; was created for European models. Diagnosed the issue as a gas valve and replaced the part. Miraculously, the Google Nest now was able to control the furnace!

After $659, the furnace was fine. But my husband found the box that the worker left behind that the gas valve was in. Looked up the part...it's a $70.00 part easily found online. $90 service fee + $70 part does not equal $659. Even if additional labor is included...we were ripped off.

When we called the owner, he simply replied there was no way we could find the part that cheap. When my husband offered to share the sites where the part could be purchased, his only response was he could come remove the part they installed.

Fixed heater that was throwing a code. It cost more than I was planning to spend, but it is fixed and running properly now. I would use them again in the future.

I have always had good service from this company. They recently cleaned the furnace. Then I had some strange noise and they came out the next day and said I had some ice build up that was causing the furnace to make a lot of clacking noise. He banged on some pipes and not sure what else he did but it is currently running like new again. I just wanted to say thanks for the honest work that they do.

Had a a1heating sales person doing an estimate today for the furnace/AC. He stared looking around and asking about unrelated equipment like a chimney liner for water heater, and what type of water heater I would like to install and how they would need to fix some duct work. After I told him that the chimney liner is unrelated to the efficient furnace and that I will be doing the duct work myself and I have all the necessary permits, he became visibly irritated and with the words "I don't work like that" headed for the exit. Then I asked him to give me at least a ballpark estimate for the furnace/AC that I requested an estimate for, he quoted $3500 for the furnace and about the same for AC. I told him another contractor quoted me $3,800, he asked me for the contractor's name. I told him the contractor's first name and after I offered to get the last name off my phone that was in the car, he interrupted me with words "I don't need that" went to his car. He was very unprofessional and I would fire this salesperson for the better of A1 heating. After all, they served me well in my main residence when they installed my furnace and did periodic service. Hope they will continue with salespeople better than that.

They were offering a low price for a winter check up. I figured it couldn’t hurt as I was moving out of the country getting rid of the house and it was gonna be cold inToledo. The technician came out but the price was raised five times higher because the water has been drained from the furnace during the summer. A price was agreed upon And tech said don't worry everything will be up and running. Over the course of an hour he explained the system, screwed in the radiator, filled with water and hooked up purchased thermostat. I thought everything was fine and finished my move out of the country. A few days later one of the people that took over the house called me overseas and said the installed radiator was leaking and damaging the floor. He called them and asked them to come finish up the job. They agreed and came by and screwed in a release valve. Figured problem solved hopefully they will offer to pay for any water damage caused. A few months later he calls me and said they tried to call him and collect money for going back and finishing the job after being paid in full. It all felt like bad business and dishonest. I wanted to leave a 1 star review but in all fairness im told the radiators heated up and the thermostat works.

My furnace went out and the next day, which was a Sunday, Mike came out and diagnosed the problem. Within two hours, his team had a new furnace delivered and they installed it very fast. These guys are good and I will be using them for any future HVAC service. A++

Shawn M. arrived early which I appreciated. He was also exceedingly thorough, personable & efficient. I have been using A-1 for years now & have never been disappointed.I highly recommend them!

I was going to write a halfway decent review. I almost decided to go with this company and then I told him I was going to search out other estimates. I ended up going with somebody else. And when he called to do a follow-up and before I could get it out of my mouth that I went to somebody else he just yells at me good luck and hangs up... Very rude and unprofessional! I would highly recommend not to go with them and don't even call him out for an estimate

Very knowledgeable staff and technicians. We live in an older home with radiators, and we didn't know how to clean or maintain or system. An A1 technician came and cleaned our furnace and inspected all the parts. He also gave me some tips as to how to use it best and walked through the whole house with me to show me where things were. He was very polite despite my many questions. I will only call them in the future!

I called to get an estimate and the first woman was extremely rude and rushing me off the phone. Yesterday I called back and the woman I spoke with was great, but then the contractor called..... The first time I missed the call and then he left a message saying "I'll call back in 5 minutes and you pick up the phone" . That already had me annoyed then when he calls he was a total a**. So rude and when I said I had gotten a lower estimate elsewhere and was going to think on it he basically hung up on me. Definitely don't recommend.

I was very pleased with the services provided by A-1 Heating. From the initial repair by Mike on a weekend when my furnace went out to the installation of new heating and cooling by Brad and Don. Mike explained to me that my heating system was not very good (apologized for the honesty) and informed me that freon for my cooling wouldn't be available any longer. Brad and Don were here early the 2 days they came. They let me know when they were turning the water off, explained the settings for the furnace and the thermostat. I would recommend A-1 Heating to anyone needing furnace or air services.

The tech was at my hike in a timely manner. I was a little disappointed that I was told a service call was 90. The tech came in and said the furnace was not installed properly turned it on it fired up he told me what the issue was and I would have to replace my central air unit to take care of the problem! I was charged 130.00 all together to have him turn the furnace on once and say you have to replace your central air system. It took him longer to write out the bill than he was in my home. Just felt 40.00 for 2 mins was a lot. I will not use this company again.

The company was professional, organized and quick with getting us on the schedule. Came when they said they would and finished in a timely manner. Explained everything about the new unit upon completion of the job and cleaned up after as if they were never here. Would definitely recommend A-1 to anyone who needed a central air unit replaced😊

We were desperate and needed our furnace fixed fast since we had people coming over. They were able to get their technician, Mike, out in about half an hour from our call at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. Mike was great and explained everything he was doing. In the end it cost $180 for super fast service and restoring heat to a house on a cold night. Thanks A-1 Heating!

We called them at 8:30am. They were here by 10:00am found 3 cracks in our heat exchanger! Immediately shut off the furnace! Luckily we didn't die from carbon monoxide poisoning! The man that came is A+ in my book! The next crew was at the house by noon! Had the old furnace out an new on in by 12;35! The came back Thursday to finish the whole set up including a new thermostat! Best efficient service ever! An great prices too. Thank you so much

The woman on the phone who sends the men out was very rude, Don was out twice and was unable to fix the issue he also bypassed a safety feature to get it to run and said it was good to go, he was very friendly however. A few days later Larry came out and thought it was a heater core said we will likely need a new furnace. After talking things over with him we figured out the true issue and he was able to fix it for us. Larry was friendly as well but had I not been persistent and gone over everything with them I may have replaced my heater for what was a very simple fix. The woman on the phone set the tone for the overall experience and with as snark and rude as she is we will not use them in the future. Prices were fair the men were helpful and ultimately Larry was able to fix our issues. So for him we are thankful.

Furnace went called to have someone come out immediately since they are 24/7 and got no emergency appointment but they can come out in the morning for $100 plus whatever the issue maybe. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL AND I WILL NOT BE USING THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LESS THAN 2mins AWAY FROM MY HOME! Thanks for NOTHING!!! In response to your “unfortunately all after hours appointments were booked” maybe SOMEONE should have TOLD THE FIRST YOUNG LADY THAT BECAUSE SHE SAID THAT THERE WAS A FEW PEOPLE AVAILABLE!!!! So as I said before THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!!

Have been a customer of this company for many years, always appreciated the yearly courtesy calls and always had a good experience until yesterday, my AC wasn't working, tech came out and informed us that we needed a new thermostat, no problem, after installation I wasn't really satisfied with product but said ok, I was horrified that I was charged almost 4 times the cost of the thermostat, very
disappointed and no longer a customer...

Made AC maintenance appointment 4 weeks ago. Was given a window between 12-5pm for service to show up.
Took 1/2 day off work.
Was called 40 minutes before appointment window and told I would need to reschedule because they’re too busy with other services. Next available was more than 3 more weeks out! Poor customer service!

Called them today and their crews were out but they said they would get to us. Rodney came within a few hours during the coldest week for some time. He was great and our heat was up and running. Highly recommend calling them first. When you need emergency services you need people you can count on. These are those types of people!

Chris came out to my house to give a quote. He was professional and on time. Gave a great prices and reviewed the product he would be using for the boiler. The company is locally owned and family oriented.
Unfortunately we had unexpected situation arise and this company was understanding and accommodating. We are completely satisfied with this company. Thank you guys again. We will definitely use for future services.
