It was amazing. I can't wait to try the potting soil and fertilizer on our plants. They are all homemade and organic! And, they were so helpful with instrctions!

This sadly was the rudest customer experience I've ever had. Plants are lovely but they need to recognize how to treat human beings. Do not yell or berate your customers just for asking a question in a polite tone.

Love the selection of organic fruit and definitely liked the potatoes. Cool house plants for sale and outdoor selection of plants hard to match. A diamond in the rough for sure.

Nice little local businesses. This was my first time visiting it and I was surprised about the variety of products they have: plants, tomatoes, Apple, jelly, sauce, etc. Everything looks fresh and is organic. I will keep coming back.

Owners really care about growing healthful and delicious food. They are very knowledgeable about organic gardening and eager to pass that knowledge on to their customers.

The owner Ron is very versed on all types of plants and organic gardening for fruits and vegetables. They also have a small market inside that sells organic produce plus their own organic salad blends.

Fantastic proprietary salad mix and organic fruit and vegetable selections. Ron is a walking encyclopedia of information for purchasing and growing organic food and plants. Wonderful small business with excellent prices on quality food.

The “Immunity Blend” found in the refrigerator case is amazing. Organic fresh kale, cabbage, carrots etc all combined and chopped to give your salads (and other things like soups) additional nutrients.

Owner is not very nice, talks too much, insults your age and politics. Very sad. I want to support them very much because their produce is good, but we're not going to be talked down to and insulted and give our money to person who insulted us. Looking for a another local gardening center to support. :(

I really loved the plant selection. I really did. But the staff was just horrible. I'm not the kind of person who blames staff for things I did, but one lady kept hounding me about where I could and couldn't go. The areas intended for customers and the areas intended for workers were clearly marked as such. I can, in fact, read.

Then I went into the greenhouse where they kept succulents, and I wanted to take a look at a variety they had labeled. The lady seemed very intent on me not touching the plants. Fine, succulents have a waxy bloom that can come off if they're touched. I took a tag out of an interesting plant I saw, and immediately she asked me to stop taking the tags out of plants. Again, I know which pot the tag came out of, I was just looking at what the variety was.

I proceeded to leave, not really finding much I wanted (and especially with the way I was being treated, I really didn't feel welcome there). I had a little accident and grazed a plant with my car. Apparently I bent a branch. I apologized and another staff member decided to berate me for it. Maybe you shouldn't put plants in the parking lot where that can happen.

All and all, a nice selection of plants, but the staff just does not have good customer service skills.

Canterbury Creek Gardens has the most magnificent mallows! We bought a mallow with red and green leaves and red flowers! We could not buy any tomato plants, it’s not time to buy them yet!

The owner is the nicest guy ever. He is always helpful with tips and advice that actually works 💪🏽

Ron Zayac, the owner, can be described as "eccentric". If you want to purchase your tomato plants in mid-May....FORGET IT! Ron WON'T sell them to you!!! This is a good thing. Ron is passionate about your success in growing your garden for the highest yield and in a health conscious way. The man has a wealth of knowledge that he's willing to share with the seasoned veteran, as well as, the gardening novice. I highly recommend Ron and his staff. Their plants are top notch. Bonus: The store is open year-round with a limited, but wonderfully healthful selection of salad and fresh veggies.

Excellent source of organic and sustainably grown foods. Also an excellent source of knowledge regarding anything to do with growing. My family and I frequent Canterbury Creek Gardens weekly for the absolute best in organic produce, and to learn from Ron how grow foods and flora of all types the same way they do. Ron and the team are incredible. A real treasure in our community and local marketplace.

Not sure who the guy was who cashed us out, but he was a jerk. He commented that the dark star alocasia we were buying was worth a lot more than what we were paying. It is not. I own countless alocasia species and "dark star" is very common & inexpensive. He then proceeded to pressure us into buying their "living soil" (we did not) by asking us what we use for fertilizer and then badmouthing it even though he had never heard of the brand. He was very condescending. I own a licensed plant nursery and am very well versed in plant care & nutrients, as I only deal in exotic/rare plants that require a much more intense level of care than they're providing in their open air greenhouses. furthermore , their stock of ficus elastica and philodendron looked terrible. I'm supposed to take advice from them? Lol I only stopped in bc we were in the area and like supporting small businesses, but certainly won't be back.

Great staff. Very helpful and treated like family.. This IS AS LOCAL as it gets people.. They deserve respect for their efforts in education and remember who taught you what you know..

Canterbury Gardens is a gem for organic food lovers, hidden in a Westlake neighborhood. They grow many indoor and outdoor plants year round. The store is small but you can find organic staples like potatoes, carrots, onions, squash, zucchini, and more, There a few refrigerators with more veggies and fruits, and some conventional items. We especially love the large bag of store-made chopped organic "health salad", filled primarily with kale and includes some chopped carrots and cabbage. Besides eating a fresh healthy salad, we use it in stir-frys, soup, omelets and even on pizza. I highly recommend a visit here.

Love coming here for my summer herb and veggie gardening needs. I always use their living soil for my containers instead of paying for dirt at a big box store. I’m also a huge fan of their immunity blend salad and will drive out to Westlake just to get that one item. Ron, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and only carries top quality products.
