Was assigned Ideal Electric through my home warranty. Waited a week and heard nothing. So I called 4+ times over the course of a week and left 2 voicemails. Never heard a word back. Guess the individual people aren't good enough anymore.

I missed a call to schedule an appointment and called back several times and no one ever called me back not sure how there in business if they won't even setup a simple appointment to come out and fix outlets.

Ideal Electric is now my go-to for all my electrical needs! I had them replace most of the outlets in my home in midtown, install an outdoor outlet, and replace my old Zinsco breaker panel and they did so with speed, professionalism, and respect for my property!

Steve and JD came to put a new pull out for my air conditioner they were on time they were professional they were courteous they did a good job and very thorough checked everything I have been around a lot of electricians these guys are top notch I will use them for everything.

As everyone has said they are prompt and professional. My house is horrible its been mickey moused since the late 50's and has needed major upgrades and techs hate working on it because its a mess. For other repairs i get an estimate and as the job is half way done always something comes up that adds thousands to the bill. NOT these guys when they give you an estimate they stick to the estimate, thats huge! Rarely anyone in my adult life does this here or back home, its something that used to happen but most dont anymore. That fact alone is worth choosing them, dont get taken advantage of by some other company choose these guys!

They are supposed to return to finish a job but never return my phone calls. It's been 6 months of leaving messages with their answering service to no avail. I drove to their office which was locked so left a note on the door over a week ago and still nothing.

I highly recommend this company! Their price is very reasonable, and the appointment was easy to schedule. Stephan was great to work with – he took time to answer questions and make recommendations. And he was always on time! I will absolutely use this company again.

Cannot get them to return a phone call to get them to come finish the job they started. Was directed to them through a home warranty- the request was started 11/13 and still no way to get a hold of them. They have been out twice and still not finished with two separate issues. Calls go to an answering service so you can never talk to an employee. Cannot imagine how they are still in business.

Cody has been to my house twice to fix unrelated issues, and both times did a great job! Very professional and stayed until all my concerns were addressed, and until the job was done. He also gave me recommendations and was here at the scheduled time frame. Couldn't ask for any better.

I like this company. People are nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Their price is good as well. Another thing is they are on time if not ahead of time.

Some contractors American home shield used are incompetent and just wanted to show up and then tell you it it not covered. I was really happy the experience with this company is so good - fast and pleasant. The guy went to my house is a veteran, and he fixed my switches the time time went to my house, which is very rare for many AHS contractors to do.

I had to file a home warranty claim, and Trent went out of his way to explain what the issue was, he gave some tips regarding the wiring in our home, and was very friendly. Great experience!!

My home warranty sent them to fix some of our electrical problems. They were amazing. On time, the tech was fantastic, and the work was great. I highly recommend them.

Professionalism with this company was good with their in-person staff coming into my home to check out my attic fan.

Professionalism with this this company was very poor in regards to communication. My repeated calls to this company to ascertain an update for the replacement of my attic fan have been ignored. I have been calling for 2 weeks and have not received a single return call.

I was told by a female staff member that I would receive a return call. I never did.

I used Ideal through my home warranty company. They were spot on for communication, updates and repairing all issues covered under my warranty. Cody was very helpful, informative and personable. Great company and great service. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.

Edit: The company has contacted me since I left this review, but it's July and they still haven't finished the work they started in mid-May, plus they've stopped answering messages again.

Originally I thought the company was just incompetent, but after reading other reviews I'm increasingly convinced they're running a scam with American Home Shield.

I filed a service request after a different American Home Shield contractor damaged my electrical system and knocked out power to part of my house. (BTW, even if their own contractors break it, AHS still makes you pay again to fix it).

I had to call the company several times to get the visit scheduled, though they're supposed to call you for an AHS visit. The electrician came, looked at stuff, tried to claim it wasn't covered (AHS confirmed it was), then left. That was two weeks ago.

Now neither I nor AHS can get ahold of him. Ideal Electric's answering service has "sent him a message" each of the six times I called and claimed he hasn't replied.

Of course AHS "can't" do anything about it until he calls them back. Meanwhile, they gave my money and I'm stuck with the issue.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING ELECTRICAL!! They came out on a home warranty call. I had two rooms that the lights and ceiling fans kept tripping the breaker and after two hours of try to find the issue they said well I've been here two hours and I have to get to may next call and just left. I've tried to call them 10 times and it's always an answering service that says they will forward my call to the servic tech and they will get back to you and then they never do. They are so incompetent It's unbelievable.

This company has come to our house a few times for different calls from our home warranty company. Each time a great job. In fact we have a rent home without a home warranty and we are having them come out for that house based on our past experience. I would say the turnaround time in scheduling has been next perfect. Would recommend

I wasn’t able to use the AC all summer because my ac kept tripping. Now that it started cooling off I wasn’t able to use the heater either. Finally had to call an electrician and Stephen was sent out. Stephen was exceptional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything and was very thorough because I bet 8/10 other people would have missed the solution. He figured out the problem after examining every possible issue and was very professional. Now I can use my AC and my heat. The family is happy again. DEFINITELY the guy to call. Thanks Stephen! My home warranty assigned ideal Electric take care of my problem. These s.o.b.'s never called. I tried calling them and got an answering service and I never heard from them. I give them zero stars and will never ever think of using them for anything.
