ITS THE 3RD YEAR THAT THEY HAVE WORKED MY AIR-CONDITIONER AND WE'RE STILL WITH OUT AIR. I have had much difficulty communicating with the AMP answering the customer service line. There has been constant miscommunication regarding my contract and services requests, THEY LEAVE HORRIBLE MESS AND RESIDUAL DAMAGE AT MY EXPENSE. AHS (foreigners) KEEP sending them. Im finally changing both of them.

Love working with Faith and Justin on our projects. They always do a great job.

In October 2017,had American Home Shield warranty work done by AMP. Replaced our unit but overcharged us for unnecessary parts and service to get paid on a free warranty replacement. Now we find out the unit is improperly wired. Stay away! Had to take them to court to get my money back.

Was sent out by AHS home warranty on our new house. Intentionally stated the duct was “crushed by force” without even looking at it, ensuring AHS would deny it. We got a second opinion, and they stated there was no issue with the duct, it was an entirely different issue that IS covered, but that the guy from AMP just didn't want to work on it and lied so it would be denied.
AHS is now covering it, but we were almost stuck in the dead heat of summer with no AC because AMP simply didn’t want the job enough that they were willing to lie about it. -
Rude and inconsiderate. I was unknowingly returning a phone call from another company by the same name and called this number based on an internet search. He cursed at me informing me that he gets "a couple of these calls every week". After explaining that I was sorry and wasn't aware it was the wrong company and I wasn't aware that there was another company by the same name but that being rude to me was no way to treat someone he hung up on me. I wouldn't hire this person if they offered their services for free.
This is a review for Amp Electric Service. I was apparently attempting to contact Amp Electric & Mechanical Service. The person who answered from Amp Electrical Service is who I am writing the review on. Once I actually got a hold of Amp Electric and mechanical was very nice and professional. The person who I felt with from Amp Electric Service was not. -
Our experience with this company was EXACTLY the same as the other reviews. Sent out by Home Warranty company, gave 4 different explanations of what was wrong, and then refused to do any repairs saying that they couldn't access the unit. Somehow the tech was mysteriously able to access it enough to remove the parts he said were broken...If these people are sent to your house, do yourself a favor and send them right back!

I placed a call to American Home Shield this morning as our furnace stopped working (25 degrees). AMP Mechanical was called and they showed up by 10:30, found the failure point and fixed in within 30 minutes.
Jonathan was courteous and took a few moments to answer questions about the repair and system. Will definitely consider using them for future service needs -
First of all, I was outsourced to this company from my home warranty company. I live on the second floor of a condo complex and it's CLEARLY stated on my profile. When the repairman called, I even reminded him I'm on the second floor and my unit is on my roof. No problem he said. He arrived and listened to my unit. He determined it was the unit and said he needed to go back to the office to see if they had a long ladder. My next call was from Kimberly at the the Home Warranty company demanding I buy a ladder so this company has access. There's a reason I have a condo!!!! I put this order in three days ago and who knows how long tis' going to be til I get AC. Thank goodness it's not hot out!

Absolutely the worst customer experience!!! Sent a technician. He did not tighten down the bolts to A/C unit and all freon leaked. Sent him back a second time. Same situation. Did the very bare minimum to get in/out. Escalated call. Sent Sr level electrician out. Identified the A/C issue was a part that was bad. Stated they would order the part and have it installed. On the date part was to be installed they stated “Part is not in, it will be another 4 days”. We have been living without A/C now for better than 2 weeks!! Had they identified the problem on the first call, wed not be living under these conditions in the HEAT OF SUMMER! Totally inadequate service. Absolute flippant attitude and customer service! Would NEVER recommend or use this service EVER AGAIN. Do not trust them, their technicians, or their quality of work.

August 2019.....I had a contract on a home that needed AC work. Basic work like servicing it. Cleaning the outside coils and adding freon. At closing I was presented a receipt for work done on the AC unit. Even though I could hardly read the writing on the receipt I accepted it thinking quality work was done. WRONG! I don't believe AMP mechanical even looked at the unit. TERRIBLE company. Insist that you get someone else!!!! I hired a quality guy and they had it running great in no time.

Just want to thank Rick, Nate, and Josh for such an efficient install of our new HVAC this week. The guys with AMP were friendly, focussed, and FAST. They were wrapped up in an hour and a half. They also showed up in time and called us to let us know when they arrIved. Our HVAC works perfectly and we are so grateful to have a new unit in our home just in time for the winter months. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with these guys— 5 star professionals through and through.

My fiance' and I were assigned this company through our terrible home warranty company First American Home Warranty Company. Our home is supposed to close in days and we can't get anyone to call us back, much less make the essential repairs in order to close our house in a market that is already challenging. Our home warranty company has a contract through them, and we cannot use anyone else without paying out of pocket for an expense we already paid for with our warranty company.

BUYER BEWARE!!! AMP Mechanical was assigned to us by our home warranty, on two occasions. Once for our heater and once for our AC. The technician grossly misdiagnosed our issue and left our family cold. He was in our house less than 10 minutes. I filed a formal complaint with First American so they never come to my home again, but want others to know how bad they truly are. My impression is they want to run up multiple trips to milk the system for more money. They truly deserve zero stars.

Very dissatisfied. Technician came out, didn’t ring the doorbell and didn’t call us. Went out and looked at the WRONG UNIT, said it was working just fine, and completed our work order.
Said that since he had been here before, he knew what the problem was, that our unit is too small for our house. This is not true, and doesn’t make sense, because when we bought the town house everything was to code. This man checked pressures on the wrong unit, and left. Our unit hasn’t been on for 3 days, so there’s no way it was working because it wasn’t on.
If they had pursued the problem, instead of writing it off, they would have found that there was a major tear in the return air duct which was shooting all the cold air into our attic. This has since been fixed and we were calling about a different problem .
He would have known this if he had asked. When I called to ask if the technician had come, the secretary was very rude to me and cut me short saying that the work order has been completed, therefore we need to call our warranty agency.
This is not the first time, and will probably not be the last, but we will never use this company again. -
AMP was send out by First American Home Warranty. The tech told my renter in detail how the AC unit they were there to repair was obsolete and couldn’t be repaired. They told her that the entire closet would have to be ripped out, the unit replaced, and dry wall repair done. This would not have been a problem except they then turned around and told FAHW something different: that they didn’t service those units. As a result, my tenant broke her lease and I am now four weeks into FAHW running around trying to find someone to service the unit bc now bc AMP told them one thing and then my tenant another and now FAHW is sure the issue isn’t that the unit is outdated and needs to be replaced but that they just have to find someone else. Either FAHW is being dishonest about AMP or AMP was dishonest in their report back. Either way, I’m now starting week 5 of uninhabitable living conditions thanks to this initial visit by AMP.
