We are a non-profit service club in Ridgeway and manage a hall here. Post COVID when we first revitalized our club and got up and running again (2023) one of the 2 furnaces in the hall (the main one) was having issues where it would turn on and run for maybe 20 mins and have to be reset as it would shut off, then shut off again and have to be reset over and over again.

We called Fretz and Kirk, the owner himself actually came and assessed the entire heating system. There were a number of issues that needed to be addressed.

The duct work was too small ( Round tubular) and was not able to accommodate the amount of hot air flow the furnace was generating, which was "starving" the system of air which it couldn't draw enough cool air in because of the small duct work inability to take on the hot air quickly enough. They replaced all the duct with the proper box style duct work and added more vents as well for better overall coverage/ventillation

The other big issue that existed was that whatever company had installed the furnace originally, did not level the furnace, which Kirk showed us. It was well out of level! That caused a buildup of water in the heat exchanger and had actually cracked it.

The furnace was an older furnace and Kirk explained our options were either install a new furnace ( Which was not really an option for us at the time) but he would check the Furnace "ID" to see if it was still under warranty, but given its age, didn't have high hopes, as our other option.

As luck would have it the heat exchanger still had 1 year left on the warranty and it was actually in stock.

Kirk had his guys level the furnace, install the new heat exchanger, tear out all the old duct work AND install all the new duct work. It has been over a year and half now and the furnace works perfectly, not issues whatsoever!

He then went above and beyond any and all expectations. Kirk, a lifelong resident of Crystal Beach noted the huge amount of community service and great things and impact we have made in this community for almost 80 years now, here in Ridgeway-Crystal Beach

Don't waste your time with this company! For a small town company their customer service sucks!

I have used Fretz Plumbing and Heating on many occasions. They are my "go to" guys for any plumbing or heating needs. Always a pleasure to work with.

Very good service. They have done a wonderful Job in my new developments, greatly recommended, always on time and very reasonable prices. Owner has a lot of experience and will help throughout if anything is required.

We have been dealing with this company since August of 2023 and although the staff are friendly, they just cannot get the job done when it comes to fixing a heat pump that they installed. Countless calls, countless broken promises and still no heat. Don't call them. Call someone else. Literally anyone else.

We have hired Fretz on two occasions to the tune of about $6,000. We would give zero stars if we could. On the most recent job, we have had a few concerns. What they installed is still not working correctly. They claim they stand by their work but after numerous messages, texts, emails, and phone calls we cannot get a single reply from Kirk or Jason. What kind of a business simply refuses to call a return and paying customer back? This one! Why? Because they have been paid in full and now they couldn't care less. Buyer beware!
