On short notice, the team installed a new 240V EV charging receptacle exactly where we wanted it in our garage. He even dealt with our full panel in a safe, economical way. Highly recommended.

I had Jake come into Strathroy, Holiday Inn for and emergency call, Jake was there very shortly after the call on the weekend, and found the issue quickly. I would highly recommend Jake, and will use Electric J Contracting Ltd in the future.

Jake didn’t bat an eye at the long list of requests I had for him! 50 years worth of ‘farmer fixes’ in a barn can be a challenge to figure out but he was fast, efficient, and realistic with expectations. The relief I feel now knowing my business and my livestock are safe helps me sleep much easier. We had him do some problem solving in the house, an issue deemed unsolvable by a previous electrician he had sorted in half a day!

I should also mention he had a great solution for point to point to get wifi in both the barn and the shop where cell signal was limited before.

Jake was a former pupil of mine, and was always a standout talented student in the class. 15 years later, he’s a master electrician running a highly respected business with the community. So when my list of electrical projects grew for my home (rewiring the basement, running electrical for the hot tub, exterior lighting and electrical) it was without hesitation I reached out to Jake to make sure the job was done right. Jake and his team did an amazing job installing pot lights, replacing a light fixture and door bell. The light fixture was a dimmable LED light which would not dim, just flicker. Jake did not give up and offered suggestions on fixing the issue including speaking with the manufacturer of the light. In the end after multiple visits it now works wonderfully. Thanks Jake for not giving up!

We have hired Jake multiple times for general indoor and outdoor electrical repairs, and for installation of light fixtures. Jake was professional, responsive to communication, and because of the scope of our project, Jake was able to squeeze it between other larger projects and able to complete the job promptly. At all times, he was able to keep the worksite clean and respectful to our belongings throughout. He was also able to guarantee his work if anything was not to our satisfaction, returning once to replace a defective light unit in a timely fashion. We will be hiring him in the future for other electrical jobs, and recommend him to anyone in the London area!
