I had Tim put in a gas line in my home about 17 years ago and he did a fine job, so when I called him when my furnace wouldn't fire up this fall I figured I would let him come over and fix it. Unfortunately I couldn't be home when he came over for the "service call" my wife was home. Well it took him about 10 minutes to determine that my heat exchanger had 2 cracks in it? To my amazement he did not "red tag" the furnace and shut it down which is mandated by law, and a form sent to Union Gas.! He was adamant that I need a new furnace stat. He e-mailed a price of $7200 plus for a A/C unit and furnace. I immediately called around and got a company that would change the suspect heat exchanger for $500 dollars all in. After the new part was installed I was informed that the heat exchanger was not cracked ! it had a little rust @ the vestibule otherwise it was fine. The reason it wouldn't fire up was the Gas Valve the honest company changed it and I was back in business. After all was said and done I called Tim back and told him what had transpired, he was non-plussed and said that he saw 2 cracks and stood by his story. I have since brought the exchanger to a couple of H-vac companies and was told that the exchanger was fine. One guy offered to buy the part off of me because he services alot of Armstrong furnaces and could possibly use the part. I still have the part in my garage , and any time Lamantia wants to show me the cracks I would love for him to show me. I wonder if I had a Service Call or a Sales Call. I guess I would recommend that when faced with a catastrophic failure of your H-vac system get a few opinions.

Great company to work with. Lamantia did our furnace 23 years ago and we had no problems with the system- it was time for a new unit. Tim came in to replace the existing furnace with a new Rheem product.
Great workmanship and professionalism all the way around.
Tim is highly recommended and his price point is right in line.
