I can’t say enough great things about Nexus Electric and especially Jordan. What seemed like a complicated job—finding a dedicated circuit to my bedroom and installing a brand-new light and ceiling fan where there wasn’t one before, was handled flawlessly. Jordan was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and detail-oriented, and he made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Not only was the quality of work outstanding, but his professionalism and care really stood out. He took the time to explain everything, made sure the installation was perfect, and left the space spotless. Got new light switches/wiring connected in my Beaverton store location. Very fast, friendly and professional. I am currently going through them again for a second time for our front drop down gate.

This was such a great experience. I had called some other businesses to help get my home set up to charge my new EV and felt like a burden, but then I connected with Jeff who was friendly, responsive, honest, and just overall extremely helpful. Their assistant was also engaged in the process to help keep things moving along and I truly have zero notes on how this experience could have been better! They are amazing here and I’d strongly recommend starting with Nexus before choosing anyone else.

Jordan and Christian performed the electrical work at my house. Their workmanship belongs in the Lourve museum. And they are devastatingly handsome!

Had an “evaluation” (if you can call it that) done this evening—the supposedly experienced electrician they sent advised that there is nothing wrong after we had an electrical fire in our fridge (due to the neutral main line being cut halfway through by a ditchwitch, and when power restored the fire started in the fridge, and all our appliances are kaput as well). He also advised our homeowners insurance would not cover an actual whole home wiring check, even though that was why they sent him out.
Do not recommend after today’s experience.

They are a family owned business and they will make you feel part of the family from the start to the end. Their office workers are extremely knowledgeable and their field electricians are top notch in their profession and treat your home like their own.
I had a problem with the electrical going to my HVAC. No Hvac companies or electrical companies were as straight forward with me as Mike’s was. They walked me through each step while explaining everything in terms I could understand. They showed up during a time of need and swiftly solved my problem. I feel genuinely cared about which is something many companies lack these days. Their prices are the most reasonable I found and their work was better than I could have ever hoped for!
Give Mike’s a call. You will not have to make another call to a different company that will give you the runaround. If I could give six stars, I would!

The estimator came out and gave me an honest fair opinion of working within the infrastructure that I had in place, because of this I trusted his opinion and options that were provided. They installed a level 2 EV charger, additional GFCI near my toilet, and reworked my panel. Great team, people, and service. 5 stars. Thank you GREG

I called Mikes first because they were closest to the project I needed done. They were professional and the bid seemed very reasonable so I went with them, and I'm very glad I did.

The work was neatly done, their suggestions were all good, everything was done on time and the prices were great.

I recently recommended them to a friend's older mom. They came through for her after another electrician couldn't figure out the issue, and exceeded her expectations as well.

One star because it cannot go lower. They use predatory pricing to gouge after bidding low.

The initial bid for setting up a dedicated circuit for my microwave was $5-600 with 4 hours of work.

The job completed in 2.5 hours. Nearly half the time they estimated. Yet the bill came in over $800.

When i asked for an explanation, they claimed that electricians are billing at $150/hour. Be aware that the average for an electrician's hourly is $45/hour and that SURGEONS make $180/hour.

When i called them to escalate the issue they continually feigned that i was being loud (i was not) and hung up on me.

I then stated i would see them in small claims and they said OK.

you WILL be over billed.

Excessively expensive. 270$ for the first hour with 240$ per hour after that for a journeyman electrician Portland Metro Area in 2025. I'd already done troubleshooting on the circuit and put in a temporary fix. They apparently are very clear about billing on the phone when the appointment is set up but this simply wasn't the case for me. I wouldn't have moved forward with the service if they had quoted the eventual per hour cost - there's just no way. The work was well done and the electrician was pleasant to deal with, but the pricing was not commensurate with the services rendered, it was just totally excessive.

Excellent service and follow-up. Work was completed on time and both the service rep (Aaron) and the office staff were terrific.

Friendly staff and flexible scheduling. I am waiting for the equipment they installed to be replaced with something more in line of my request..will revise this review to 5 when that work is done.

I had a fantastic experience with Mike’s Electric when they installed my EV charger. The team was professional, thorough, and clearly very experienced. They completed the installation in about an hour with zero hassle. Everything was done efficiently and cleanly, and they took the time to explain the setup afterward. I contracted Mike’s Electric to replace my 1958 Wadsworth electrical panel with a modern load center. From estimating, to scheduling, to the work being performed I was very satisfied. The electricians that performed the work were on-time, professional, and did a great job. The installation of the new load center was neat and tidy. The work looks very professional. They took the time to create an as accurate as possible list of what the breakers control. This was my first time using Mike’s however I will be using them again in the future.

If you are not sure what problem is, contact a reliable service for inspection and you would only pay for visit rather than hundreds of charge even just turn off/on a switch.
