Garage Builder reviews in Eugene, Oregon

I must say that I had a very good experience with Red Umbrella Home and Garage Contractors. From the initial consultation to the final result, everything went very well and was highly professional. The staff were very friendly, cooperative, and apparently very good at their jobs, as they completed the task on time and left everything in a clean and tidy state.
100% recommend.
Price was good too.
Thank you for your assistance.

Red Umbrella Contractors did a fantastic job upgrading my garage. The workmanship was top-notch.
Thanks.

I’m very impressed with their professionalism and quality of work. They completed the project on time and exceeded expectations.

Red Umbrella Home and Garage Contractors did a wonderful job on my home upgrade. Their team was courteous, efficient, and focused on delivering top-quality results. I’m very pleased with their work and service.

Experience and honesty are important. Working with Bari brought both through the years.

Barry has been a friend and fellow contractor for 25 years. His work has always been outstanding. I recommend him to my friends.

Great work from Bari and Aaron. Good engineering and work skills. Aaron worked tirelessly in bad weather to get the stairway and deck project completed on our deck. Great work!

Bari did a great job on our deck. He was on time and on budget. Couldn’t be happier with the work.

Our garage was crushed by a tree during the recent ice storm. Red Umbrella, garage specialists, were perfect for the job.
Most of the garage roof had to be entirely replaced, and they did a great job replacing every damaged truss with newly ordered and engineered trusses. After consulting with an engineer, they brought my 50 year old garage up to code with hurricane features and ‘king’ supports. They installed a modern glulam beam over my garage door to replace the one that was broken by the tree. They replaced all the siding on the front of the garage and did a beautiful job. Also the insulation in the garage was upgraded. We notice the efficiency improvement.
The cedar deck was also damaged and that was repaired adding some modern improvements. A beautiful job that now feels much more stable to walk on.
The entire roof of the garage and the house were damaged, and their roofing subcontractor, Premier Roofing, did a wonderful job replacing our entire roof with modern shingles. We are noticing that the shingles and the new venting recommended by Premier Roofing actually made our house much better insulated!
Red Umbrella was very fast. Bari Schwartz did his homework and got the permits very quickly. He also worked with an engineer the job to insure all was done correctly. This big job was completed much sooner than we had expected.
There were a couple of things that went wrong as with any big project, but they were all resolved to our satisfaction.
The only minus point was that Bari has trouble working with our insurance company. I don’t know if that made any difference in what the insurance company eventually paid or not, but I would be careful on an insurance claim.
On another job within their specialty, I would hire Red Umbrella again and recommend to others.

We have worked with Bari on two home remodels and a barn project. He is conscientious & always thinking ahead. Recently we had a solar and heat pump contractor come out and both said whoever did our electrical did a great job and they thought ahead for your future needs. That's Bari, always doing an excellent job.

We are very pleased with the ADU built for us by Red Umbrella Home and Garage Contractors. The company was sincerely interested in providing us a quality product at the most affordable price. Guidance started when we began the permitting process and the good work continued until the project was wrapped up. Thank you very much!

Bari has done several projects at my house. He’s honest and has always done excellent work. I have recommended him to friends and they have been satisfied. Bari is well-networked and has provided me with other people when he doesn’t do that work himself such as custom window installation and house painting, with terrific results.

In the last week of November 2023, Bari had renovated 4 projects for my home. He had some excellent ideas on how to better modernize my home. I am very happy with the final product. I appreciate his persistance for top quality workmanship. I also liked how he was priced very reasonably and he was a pleasure to work with. Thanks again Bari

Bari helped me replace my garage roof and adjacent dilapidated gutter. He was resourceful and knowledgeable in the planning. He followed up and made sure the work was done timely and correctly. Overall Bari showed himself to be a professional who does quality work and is easy to work with.

Bari did a great job of completing our ice storm repair in a timely matter. He contracted capable people to get the job done at a reasonable cost!

Last year I worked with Bari on a significant living room renovation, and his work was excellent -- the result was actually better than what I had hoped for.

Bari at Red Umbrella is a solid contractor!

We recently hired Bari to remodel our garage in our house in College Hill. We were turning it into a mudroom, bike storage, kitchen extension, home office, and storage attic. The project was challenging, as my house is older and some of the materials were difficult to find. However, Bari was up to the task and delivered a beautiful and incredibly solid finished product.

Bari was pleasant and optimistic throughout the project, and he kept us updated on the progress. He was also very responsive to our questions and concerns.

I would recommend Bari at Red Umbrella for any home remodeling project. He is a skilled contractor who is dedicated to providing his clients with the best possible service.

-Bari was very professional and communicated with us throughout the project.
-He was very flexible and willing to accommodate my changes to the original plans.
-He paid attention to detail and made sure the finished product was perfect.
-He was respectful of my property and cleaned up after himself every day.

Overall, I am very happy with my garage remodel and our new space! I would recommend him to anyone!

Bari was absolutely phenomenal with his quick response and thorough planning. He was so easy to talk things over with and his experience and expertise shine through when discussing a project.

Bari is very knowledgeable, personable, and quick to respond. He outlined the steps we needed to take in preparation for a partial shop conversion. The first was a new roof and he recommended a roofing company which did a great job. Due to a death in the family we are not proceeding with the remodel but would definitely hire Bari if we ever move forward.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to Bari Swartz at Red Umbrella for building an ADU for my mom. From the beginning, his knowledge and expertise were evident, and I truly appreciated how patient and thorough he was throughout the entire process, offering creative solutions and communicating complex ideas in clear terms. As first-time home builders, we had a lot of questions, and he guided us every step of the way, whether it was dealing with the City, navigating codes, or coordinating with all of the subcontractors.

The end result exceeded all of our expectations and we are thrilled with the results. My mom absolutely loves her house. It is a beautiful and well-crafted, very livable small home.

Working with Bari was a pleasure. We will definitely recommend Bari at Red Umbrella to friends, family and neighbors who are looking for quality construction.

Thank you once again, Bari!

Sincerely,

Sylvia, Chris and Lisa

Here’s a polished, **stellar review** that feels authentic, warm, and credible—great for Google, Yelp, or the company website:

Red Umbrella truly stands out in a crowded field of building contractors. In a time when most of us are asked to do more with fewer resources, it’s refreshing to work with a company that *gets it*—and shows up with skill, integrity, and care, no matter the size of the project.

Owner **Bari Swartz** brings over 25 years of experience to every job, and it shows in both the craftsmanship and the way clients are treated. Red Umbrella doesn’t just build garages beautifully using top-tier materials—they build trust. Their guiding principles aren’t marketing slogans; they’re lived values you feel throughout the entire process.

What impressed me most was their **simplicity and clarity**. They manage the complexity so you don’t have to, freeing up time and mental space to focus on your life, not a construction headache. The team is highly professional, detail-oriented, and clearly committed to quality control and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Red Umbrella takes the time to truly understand their clients’ needs and consistently exceeds expectations with unrivaled workmanship and thoughtful communication. If you’re looking for a contractor who combines professionalism, precision, and genuine care for their clients, Red Umbrella is an easy and confident choice.

Highly recommended.
