Reese Landscapes

Reese Landscapes is the best landscaping company in Lane County! Renelle's team is very skilled, punctual, and I wouldn't consider using another landscaper ever again! They show up on time, which is rare! I've used them for building retaining walls, and I was blown away at how fast the workers completed the project. I treated the crew to Burrito Boy for lunch, and you should do the same!!!

I had this company out to give a bid on landscaping in February and then let them know I was going with another company. While out of State in April, I returned to find a hang tag on my door indicating that they had entered upon my property and sprayed chemicals on my lawn and "for moss control," all without my permission or any agreement whatsoever. I called them to tell them they had no business being here. I then received a "bill" for this for $65. I again called and finally got a call back and was told it was a mistake and they got my name off an "old list," though I have never done business with this company. She promised to correct their error and cancel the invoice. I have now received another bill (May 5) in the amount of $270, including the original $65 false bill and now $205 for "lawn maintenance." I have no agreement with these people for lawn maintenance or any contract with them whatsoever. They have never been here to do lawn maintenance and, in fact, I don't have a lawn at the moment, as another company has removed the lawn for soil work and eventual sod. How incompetent can you get>?

I hired Reese Landscapes for yard maintenance because a friend recommended it. However, as I learned later, they have over a dozen trucks, and the crew that served my friend’s house is different from the crew that served mine. The crew comes each week and mow the grass, that’s all they do, weeds started popping up and I called to ask they treat the weed, they always said: “we will put it on schedule” and they never spray. One time, I talked to a crew member about the weeds growing in the lawn, he said: No problem, he would take care of it, and he sprayed. It turned out that he sprayed “Roundup”, it killed all the healthy grass where they sprayed and my lawn looked terrible with yellow spots all over front yard and backyard!

I called Reese and complained about it, and ask them to fix the problem, after multiple phone calls, 4 weeks later, the owner finally came, and brought a bag of grass seeds to plant at areas where they sprayed roundup. By then, it was already May, it was hard for the new grass seeds to grow in the hot sun. I watered everyday, but still didn’t see new grass growing. I called Reese, they said it was my fault, I should have watered more frequently. It was my fault!? I shouldn’t have these big ugly yellow spots on my lawn if they didn’t spray roundup!

I was fed up, I fired Reese and hired an independent professional who cares my neighbors yard. He did such a good job and charged less. 2 years later, the yellow spots where they sprayed Roundup are still there, and I cannot believe how Reese responded to this incidence with no apology and corrective action!
