Super happy with the tree trimming they did for us. The property looks so much better and they cleaned up every scrap. Highly recommend their services!

I had a difficult to access tree branch hanging over my yard and Ben came over and took care of it quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price. I will call them again if I need more tree work done and I definitely recommend them.

Ben and his team did a great job getting rid of a dead tree close to our house. We got an estimate on a Thursday and the tree was out in 24 hours. Would recommend them to anyone.

The good: friendly, experienced staff.
The mildly disappointing: the lack of extra care and regard for landscaping working in a tight spot.
By dropping and dragging limbs rather than lifting them they broke my wire flower bed fencing in 3 spots so the section where they were working needs to be replaced (not expensive, just unnecessary). Two large rocks were knocked into the koi pond causing a tear in the liner and a leak. The items they did move were not put back in place.
With that said, cleanup was thorough and the actual work on the trees was great.
Overall, I would recommend them. With tight space and landscaping below, I recommend a discussion on what to expect as potential damage before work is started. However, they do know their trade and aside from some preventable minor mishaps the results were great.

texted them from a chat window on there web site. they texted back later that day and said they could give us an estimate tomorrow. we set up appoimntment time. they arrived 10 minutes early, YEAH!! my back yard isn't vechile accessible so they had to use poll saw and a ladder to reach 35 feet in the air and trim l limbs from my neighbors fir tree. they protected the plants in my yard, got the limbs down, hauled everything off and cleaned up the mess. we are very happy would defintely us them again.

We had Highland Tree do massive laural bush pruning, in addition to tree limbs pruned on several trees. Really prompt, friendly, and very professional service. I’m so impressed. My laural bush was about 20 feet tall and about eight feet wide. They pruned it to 14 feet tall and 4 feet wide. This is much more maintainable and healthy. It looks beautiful! Excellent clean up job also. I highly recommend them.

We looked at several businesses to take out a tree in our back yard that was very close to our house and selected Ben. He was very competitive in pricing, completed the work when scheduled and overall did a great job. We highly recommend.

We experience tree damage from the snow storms of February 2019. 2 Douglas Firs fell across our house. We obtained a number of bids but found that Highland's bid was fair, the work was planned out expertly and most importantly we received continuous communication on the planning and status of the work. The job was scheduled when the site was safe. Ben's team arrived as planned on time and had the 2 trees removed with no incident. This was quite the job as a crane was used to remove the trees. They left the site cleaned up and all debris removed. Very professional. In addition, we had Highland removed the stumps as well. Job well done fellas!!

Ben and his crew were great. Ben quoted a fair price for the service and stuck to it. He showed up when he said he would, and he and his crew were quick and careful. We had a large tree removed from a small space and they did a great job avoiding damage to the nearby structures and even some bushes that were close by.

There's a reason all of the reviews here are positive. Owner Ben did everything he said he would. A crew arrived two days after he gave me a price. At first I thought it was a bit much for three guys. They did an amazing job and clean up, in half a day. I couldn't be more satisfied. In fact a couple of baby birds fell out of a tree, and one of the guys(ponytail) was there putting them in a new nest on the same tree when I came back later. I will definitely be a return customer. I had first contacted Ben over four years ago about taking down seven large pine trees in my yard. This year we finally were ready to do it and had permission from the city and Ben’s quote now was only $300 more now. Ben and his team showed up first thing in the mornin, set up a crane and lifted all of the trees to the street where they were able to chop them in the workable pieces. What I thought would be a two day project was done in one day and cleaned up beautifully. I decided the stump grind myself to save money and Ben offered to come out and show me how to use the machine if I needed any help. I highly recommend Ben and Highland Tree Service.

The owner, Ben, was very thorough giving us an estimate to remove a large, 60 yr old maple tree that was clogging up our sewer line.
Ben and his professional crew were punctual and explained the entire, step-by-step process. After his men had a brief safety meeting they got right to work setting up soon after SUB performed two power drops.
I was amazed at how quickly the tree and later the stump was removed.
Ben did a great job of stacking the rounds (6 cords) for my brother-in-law to pick up. The old maple tree may not provide shade anymore but it will warm a household next year when seasoned.

My husband and I recently purchased a home and part of the property includes a birch tree with several dead limbs. We called several tree trimming services to come take a look. One service told us over the phone they don’t know much about birch trees and if it’s infested they’d recommend we just cut it down. Another told us that we had people already looking at the tree so they wouldn’t be coming out. Ben at Highlands Tree Service was so courteous and prompt! He came to the house the day after I spoke with him and said that while it’s likely the tree is infested the tree looks really healthy with the exception of the 2 dead limbs. He said he has dealt with the birch beetle quite a bit lately and was really confident the tree could be salvaged. He can put THE NEXT MORNING to treat the tree and clear out the dead limbs. They were prompt, respectful of the property and did a great job cleaning up after all the cutting. Ben talked with me for quite a while afterward discussing what to look for now that the tree has been treated and the follow up care. Their price was really reasonable as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Highland Tree Service.
