I highly recommend this company! They have done several projects for me over the last couple years and I have always been happy with the results.
Rick has estimated all my projects. He is very knowledgeable and has great customer service and availability. Every field crew I have had has been excellent!

Most recently I had a hedge of arborvitae pruned at the top in hopes of having them fill in and become healthier. The field crew was very attentive & worked hard to cut them to the level I requested. I mentioned how it would be nice if they could look somewhat natural at the top instead of a straight cut across & they listened and took the time to do just that. It looks great!

My first experience with them was taking a failing large Oak tree down 3/4 of the way in order to save my honeybee nest at the base of it. Most arborists don't want to mess with bees but SavATree was happy to take it on. They took the tree down within 10 feet of the ground with no harm to the hive or themselves. I really appreciated their willingness to do this and their estimate was significantly less than the one other company I was able to get an estimate from.

Other projects: Taking a large, failing Douglas Fir down, stump grinding & excellent directional pruning - always with good pricing, great customer service & quality results!! Hire SavATree - you will be glad you did!

We recently had a huge tree fall on our condo property. Fortunately, we had Jon Poteet and SavaTree of Hillsboro on our side. In 2 weeks they removed a 70-foot, 40” diameter maple from our building and returned the massive tree trunk back to the City of Portland green space. All other arborists we consulted couldn’t figure out how to remove it, due to its tight location, and couldn’t start for 4 weeks! Thanks Jon and AJ!

Trevor and Lauren did a fantastic job removing a large dead stem out of my oak tree which I had been worried about for months. I have a very old shed right under the tree, and they took care to ensure it was protected and did not get damaged in the process. They were kind and professional, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree work.

We had two large trees removed from our yard this week, as well as one smaller birch and 3 others trimmed, and had a great experience with Neil and Beto. Neil was really great about educating me about my trees and what would be the best for them and even helped me save a cherry tree I was determined to remove (which would have involved my HOA, permits and replanting). Neil answered all my questions, and helped make sure I know what to expect once the work would begin. Beto and his team arrived on the day of and they were amazing. They were efficient, safe and respectful of some raccoons we found living in one of the trees removed. I was really impressed with their work quality and my yard looks great. SavAtree recently removed a maple from my front yard along with a couple other smaller trees. They did an excellent job. The crew Demonstrated excellent teamwork, completing the job, efficiently and ensuring a thorough clean up afterword. A week later they came by to do the stump grinding. The service was just as Exceptional.

My insurance company set a hard deadline to deal with overhanging branches from several large trees. Phil visited and provided an estimate the day after I first called. The decision to "go for it" was easy, but scheduling was problematic due to the deadline. A lucky (for me) cancellation and some creative crew-juggling got a great crew on site just 3 weeks from "day one". The pruning & cleanup was amazingly efficient, and all work was completed in short order. Although the three-week process was a tense time for me, the entire staff dealt patiently with my concerns & frequent phone calls. I know that I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to help me through that situation, as well as to get the work done soon enough to meet the demands of my insurance company.

Great tree experts and service! They were prompt with the initial visit and quote. I had 3, non-native 30' trees removed and they provided attentive care to protect the surrounding plants and smaller trees. Very speedy and safe practices. Very reasonable pricing. Would highly recommend for your tree needs.

SavATree did a great job on cutting back our front yard Maple tree. They made our yard look open and clean again. Pricey but easy to work with. Again, very happy with the job. Would use them again.

We come back to SavATree time after time for our tree trimming/removal needs. Nat and Chris are great to work with, and their crew is friendly, respectful and efficient. When cleaning up after some badly-needed trimming, they even raked a significant amount of leaves that we didn’t have room for in our yard debris and disposed of them for us! I loved watching them chat and laugh with one another while working, like they even enjoy what they are doing! They’re just the best!

I'm in Tigard, OR. and a customer of General Tree and now Savatree. We had our fruit trees pruned last week and was helped set this up by Arborist Jacob Blum. He was great to work with, on time for our meeting and there when the two man crew showed up, on time, to begin their work. Phil and Andy did a great job on our trees. We've been in this house for 55 years and since we are both Master Gardeners, are pretty picky about our landscaping. We must say that Jacob, Phil and Andy did excellent work on the trees, cleaned up everything and we are set for another season. Savatree did a great job, from Phil's site evaluation and estimate, to removing some large window-makers and extreme extended branches off of our 100+ foot high healthy Sweetgum in our back yard. They began the project by protecting our landscaping and home with 4x8 sheets of plywood up against the house along the debris exit corridor to the chipper and truck, it was a tight fit, and we appreciated their protecting the property. The tree is located in our backyard about 8 feet from the house and 3 feet from a boundary line fence as well as near an adjoining large fir and apple tree on the other two sides. Some of the 25-30 foot long branches were intertwined between the other trees. Some branches had broken previously and had fallen onto our deck; so some preventative removals was paramount. The teamwork and rigging was impressive, bringing large branches down in tight quarters. Cleanup was great, could hardly tell any work was done.

We would definitely recommend Savatree, and especially the 3 member team that worked their precision in our tight quarters.

We have used this company several times over the past 15 years or so to manage the trees and shrubs on our residential acre in the Hazel Dell neighborhood of Vancouver, Washington. Their service has always been good, and provided at a fair price. Most recently, in 2025, we contacted them for work on several large trees—a pretty sizable, two day project.
The arborists we worked with this time were outstanding. Gabe did the estimating and managed the work, which was actually done by Ulysses, Jason, and Andreas. The skills of these men in understanding what we wanted and then proceeding to provide it was first rate. They asked questions as the work proceeded to make sure all of it was done as we desired, and they proceeded with skill and efficiency, and hauled away an impressive amount of pruned debris, leaving our property clean and looking so much better. We recommend this company, and these individuals, enthusiastically and without reservation.

I spoke with Phil W. to learn more about my tree a couple years ago. It was nearing the end of its life cycle and I managed to keep it going a couple more years by keeping the lower branches trimmed off. It finally had to go, along with a couple other plum trees. The price was very reasonable and everything was handled professionally. I highly recommend them.
