Constraction reviews in Independence, Oregon

Got a recommendation for this crew from a friend and had good vibes right away. I was able to send over some photos and get a timeline and appointment scheduled right away.

Extremely available and strong communication. Was able to talk through ideas and got supportive feedback. Followed through on all timelines and had no issues with product or quality.

Was able to walk through the project a day or two before the end date to inspect and review to offer any feedback to make sure all concerns were addressed before the project was resolved.

Immediately set up a second project a few weeks later as we had such a pleasant experience.

Fantastic contractor! Curtis definitely knows his stuff. I've been able to view his work in action and he does an amazing job. He doesn't skimp on the little details, everything is well thought out! I highly recomend his work!

My husband and I hired Reformation Custom Construction for 2 large projects. In 2025, 3 kitchen windows and 2 bedroom windows were replaced in our 140 year old home. This took extra time because of the age and poor condition of the sills from our relentless weather. Our kitchen and bedrooms are now draft free, bug free, and the new windows vastly improved the interior and exterior appearances. In 2023, a new cattle feeding barn was built right next to our existing 110 year old barn. Extra design and labor was needed to ensure the integrity of the large roof, and that the new barn openings matched up with the old barn openings.
They designed a roof runoff system from the roof, which fills a water trough next to the barn and overflow water is directed through an underground outlet and bubbles up safely into the adjacent pasture. The new barn’s structural soundness exceeded our expectations.
In all instances, both projects were completed on time, and the rates charged were good for our area. Most importantly, the improvements and construction were of high quality. Curtis Roberts, the owner and operator, is creative and his crew has the skills and integrity that you want from a crew working inside your home.
We recommend this company to anyone who wants high quality remodeling and construction.

Curtis and his crew are very professional and did a great job on several projects for us. Highly recommend.

Curtis is great!

I love that he was able to work with my schedule. I love the look of my shelves and fireplace insert that he made he constructed. His subcontractors were very professional and and very polite. I would ask him to do the next project in my house.

Curtis Roberts with Reformation Custom Construction is hands down the best contractor we have ever worked with. He demoed our space with perfection and cleaned meticulously. He also installed our brand new master bath and did an amazing job. He came in on time, stayed on budget, was a consummate professional and provided exceptional subs on the project as well. We will always reach out to Curtis for further projects

I hired Curtis to perform a complete building remodel with structural elements. I was impressed with his responsiveness, detail and professionalism. He was very available by phone and text message. I was impressed with the quality of his work and the work of his subcontractors. Any issue that arose was resolved quickly and with little stress.

Since the remodel, I have received any compliments regarding the building. I am happy to recommend this business for anyone looking for construction work.

As a local realtor, I am asked regularly on who I can refer clients to for work that needs to be done around their house. I've personally used Curtis and his team for work on my own home, and his level of professionalism, and communication is amazing. In the past few years it's been very difficult to get a contractor to call you back, or even show up when they say they will. Curtis always communicated well even to the point of sending me a message when he was going to be 5 minutes later than he said he would be showing up. I highly recommend him and his team to all of my clients now, and he's an asset to me and my work.

Curtis, Rob, and the rest of the crew took on a large and complex project for me and did an amazing job! The project involved extensive problem-solving and communication, two areas in which they really excel. I enjoyed the process and look forward to working with them again in the future!

Curtis and his team of craftsmen were amazing, they assisted building a 48x60 barn. From pole barns to beautiful kitchen remodeling they are the ones to call.

I had the pleasure of working with Reformation Custom Construction, and Curtis was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation to the final touches, he was professional, communicative, and incredibly helpful. Curtis and his team completed the project on time and within budget, with impeccable attention to detail. The crew was respectful, kept the work area clean, and made sure to address any questions I had along the way. I highly recommend Reformation Custom Construction, and I’m especially grateful for Curtis’s expertise. I’ll definitely be using them for future projects!

I've had Reformation do several jobs, from finish work with crown molding, to outdoor work on a pump house, and a deck/porch rebuild. Curtis and his team are my first call for quality work. The value for money is second to none.

after several projects, big and small, i can highly recommend Reformation to anyone. Curtis and his team pay attention to detail, and are very timely in wrapping up projects. They clean up and maintain a tidy and professional work space. for several of the projects, Reformation brought creativity and improvements that gave us a great result. reformation’s team is great to work with and does excellent work!

We wanted to build a pergola over our deck. We'd seen some of Curtis' creative work and liked it, so we gave Reformation a call. They whipped up a beautiful design and finished building it in no time and at a reasonable price.

Since then, we've had them help on a couple plumbing projects and installing a new garage door.

Great work. Prompt. Friendly. Reasonably priced.

Curtis and his team are fantastic to work with! Our team has worked with Reformation Custom Construction on several projects at Gilbert House Children's Museum. Curtis is an excellent communicator and delivers on his promises. The team at Reformation Custom Construction are creative problem solvers, tidy, and skilled.

Curtis and his team were outstanding at painting the entirety of our parents home in preparation for a sale. Every detail was looked after. Excellent recommendations on sheen and what to paint vs. not. He managed scope creep beautifully (as things always come up) and made sure to give us options. Really good communicator. High integrity. All around excellent experience, so I highly recommend.

Curtis was very professional and thorough. His estimate listed everything he would do for my vent system over my stove and in the bathroom, which is why I accepted his bid. He didn't leave anything out, and he and his team completed the work par excellence. The vents both work perfectly and are beautiful. Highly recommend!

Reformation built my bookstore (Quimbys Books in Independence) inside a 1911 dry goods store. They planned every step with me, kept the integrity of the original structure, were responsive and patient, helped me save money wherever I could, used creativity to meet special requests, and did each part of the job flawlessly. They were also the lowest of the four quotes I got. Curtis and his team were fast, kind, and worth every dime. They were recommended to me by my landlord who was terribly pleased with the even MORE complicated work he did for him on even older buildings. Seriously. These are the contractors of your dreams.
