If you hire this company be aware that they charge $148 an hour!!! And they over charge you for the driving time for the technician. I gave 2 stars only because the tech was nice, however, he did not put down anything under his tools that he was using and got some sticky stuff on my bathroom counter that I cannot get off and put his tools all over my beautiful Afghan that was on bed in the bedroom and got black stuff all over it and I had to wash it twice! I found a good electric contractor that only charges $95 an hour and no drive time!!!

The electrician was honest about his findings (cause of problem not definitely identifiable) and did a good job (fix what is probably the cause). Price was reasonable. This is the second time I’ve used Aboveboard and I will call them again when the inevitable next problem arises (weird old house).

Watch their charges on the labor! Get out a timer because they will push it as far as they can! Electrician was not even here for a full 30 mins and they charged me an hour and a half on the labor which is ridiculous even with travel time! I am willing to pay for one hour labor which is more than fair, but they would not accept that. Once again, a local resident gets cheated by unfair contractor business practices.

Shower was backing up impacting other plumbing. AboveBoard arrived within 2 hours with plumber and journeyman. Diagnosed problem(tree branch intrusion) and cleared backup. Very professional service!

My Wife and I had the greatest experience with Aboveboard Electric. The bid for the job on our kitchen was very reasonable and we didn"t hesitate to accept it. Rick was our electrician who did the work and we cannot say enough about his professionalism, knowledge and skill. Not only, all of that said, we felt like we made a friend. A neighbor of ours, is a retired contractor, made the referral he said Rick's quality of work and knowledge was some of the best he had ever seen. We concur whole heartedly with his assesment. The best part of working with Rick was his communications with us. He would call us and say when he would arrive and be on the job site when he said he would be. Over all our experience with Aboveboard was excellent and actually enjoyable. Thank you so much.

The office staff was trying so hard for us. Being shorthanded and coming up on the weekend was a double whammy. They handled my phone calls so well and never did I think I was a bother like I have felt from other companies in the past. They came out as soon as they could and got us up and going. They explained what happened in terms that I could understand without making me feel like they were talking down to me. They were very professional. Given how many times we have needed them, I would recommend them any and everytime.
