The whole process was amazing. Eric was right on time for showing up to give me an estimate and on the day of the work. I had some exterior dry rot repaired on my house and flashing installed between the siding a deck to keep it from being in issue when the rain starts back up again. They did a fantastic job and I’m very happy with the repair! Highly recommend Hansen Construction!

Global Electric Inc. installed ALL lights including Can lights in master bedroom & front porch, bathroom light fixtures, living room, dining room, kitchen, hall, stairwell, basement & adjoining rooms, & they sized/cut & hung upstairs stairwell Chandelier. Perfection! Great customer service!

This company was a nightmare to work with. If you're looking for an electrician in Portland, don't choose Global Electric. Our condo building in the Pearl hired them to do some electric work when our rood was replaced, at the recommendation of our roofers. Bad decision!

They were supposed to disconnect and then hook up various things again. To start with, they forgot to hook up my oven hood. Took me two weeks to get them back out here to fix it.

But it gets worse. They unhooked my water heater for my hydronic heating system, which was suppose to be taken off the roof an replace with a new one in a utility closet in my condo. The latter would require a bunch of rewiring. So the one off the roof was taken down. And then Global Electric disappeared. I spent TWO MONTHS calling them regularly, asking them to please contact me and make an appointment to get my heater hooked up.

The lady who answers the phone always said they were busy but would call me back, yet they never did. I told her every time how long I'd been trying to reach them, and she didn't care. One time her response was: "Well, he'll get to you when he's done. And if he doesn't have time, then he won't be able to get back to you." What kind of answer is that, when you have a half-completed job??? It was completely baffling... like I was in some kind of weird prank!

Eventually in late september it started to get cold outside, and I still had NO HEATING. The electrician had already billed the job to our roofers, who had billed it to us (though we had no paid), but at this point I had no other choice but to call someone else. And of course most companies were booked 6+ weeks ahead. Which would leave me in the cold without any source of heat! Eventually I got a company called PDX Electric to finish the job for me. Only took them an hour or two.

On top of abandoning me mid-project in a house without heat, with winter coming, Global Electric fixed some kind of junction box on the roof, but has not responded to our request to tell us which unit it belongs to, so the owner of that condo can pay. They keep sending us reminders to pay the bill, yet after SIX MONTHS of frequent attempts to contact Global Electric, we've still received no response.

Avoid at all cost!!

They need to stay in their lane. John had nothing but opinions on everything. He told the buyers of my house he thinks it smells like mold and it’s going to cost a tone of money to run celling heat. I wouldn’t buy this house if it was me he said. Never got a bid never said whatnot would take to fix and how much or anything that had to do with the electrical work he just talked them out of buying the house. I would NEVER use these guys in the future. Your an electrical company stick with electrical work. I had house inspected for mold when I bought there no mold. Might have been his upper lip.

This company is nothing but lies and deceit. They will install inferior products to save time and money. This includes improper wiring in health care facilities. They are members of Local 48, yet they are willing to break every rule in their contractual agreement. Their "safety team" fraudulently creates training cards to meet project requirements. Most of all equipment sent on projects is damaged, faulty or inoperable. This company is lacking integrity, honesty and a safety culture that will surely put you, your home, business or health at serious risk. There are many reputable companies within our area, this is not one of them.

Eastern Oregon contractor steps up to help community

WALLOWA - On Aug. 11, a hailstorm hit eastern Oregon's Wallowa County during the middle of the day – and right in the middle of the Oregon Department of Transportation's OR 82 Wallowa/Lostine ADA sidewalk ramp upgrade project. Global Electric was working as a project subcontractor, trying to shelter from the onslaught, when vacuum truck operator Randy Burns went to the rescue of a pedestrian – and others jumped in to help with the unexpected storm damage. Here’s what happened according to Contractor Murraysmith’s Construction Inspector Henry Lugo:
“During the peak of the hailstorm, Randy was sheltering alongside his Vac truck when he noticed an elderly woman crossing the highway at the Holmes Street intersection near the East end of Wallowa. The woman was clearly distressed, likely had a physical handicap, and had already sustained a head injury from the over 3” diameter hail. Randy selflessly ran to the woman’s aid, carried her to a nearby carport and provided care to her while waiting for paramedics to arrive. I have since heard that the women is recovering in a local hospital and that her injuries would have been much more serious and could have been fatal, if not for Randy’s quick actions.
“Following the hailstorm, drill operator Aaron Griffiths and laborer Willy Ramos immediately made the surrounding worksite safe, cleared the highway of debris for emergency vehicles, and closed an adjacent road that had downed overhead lines. Additionally, Aaron, Willy and Randy helped board up the windows of two residences that had suffered hail damage and donated most of the remaining plywood they had.
“At the time of the hailstorm, Matt Murray, journeyman electrician, was finishing up conduit install near the Wallowa High School. A flagger was injured in the hand by hail while trying to make it to shelter. Following the storm, Matt immediately took up the injured flagger’s post and helped direct both traffic and emergency vehicles until both travel lanes could be reopened
Randy, Aaron, Willy and Matt went far above their normal duties. It is clear that their fast actions aided members of the community and kept the traveling public safe during this emergency.”
ODOT Area Manager Ken Patterson heard about the efforts of the crew. It was just one part of a community wide response to the challenging weather system that caught many off guard.
“It’s just another example of our contractors going over and above when the need arises,” Patterson said. “They obviously stayed at their posts to protect traffic and put the safety of the public over their own.”
