We called Jacobs heating and cooling to take a look at our furnace for some maintenance. Daryl, the service technician was very professional and was a wonderful resource for all of the questions that my spouse and I asked him. He was very knowledgeable and was able to clearly explain to us about the ways in which our furnace operates. He was very helpful in making decisions on our next steps and developing strategies that considered the longevity of our system and not just the quick fix. I will definitely use their services in the future and encourage you to try them also.

We've had a service contract with Jacobs for years and have always been satisfied with the service we've received. I'm writing now because our AC unit malfunctioned just as Portland's major heatwave arrived, and I want to thank the service staff for responding so competently amid the stress and extraordinarily high volume of requests they've been receiving. In particular, I want to express my appreciation of Daryl, the service technician responsible for repairing our AC unit. He was extraordinarily competent, knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. All this and he has only been working at Jacobs for 3 days! We couldn't have been more pleased with how our service visit went. Because he's a new employee, we thought you'd appreciate knowing that Daryl gets 5 stars from longtime Jacobs Customers.

My husband and I were very impressed with Jacobs! They got back to us quickly when we requested an estimate online. The work and estimate they proposed were very reasonable. We are very happy with the results of the AC that was installed. The installer, Justin Randall was pleasant, professional, and left no footprint behind! The work was clean, efficient, and only took a few hours. What a great experience! Would highly recommend Jacobs and their installer Justin!

My experience with Jacobs Heating was great from start to finish. I had three different estimates, and they came in the least expensive with all the discounts. Installer, Doug, was wonderful, he went out of his way to make sure everything was neat and tidy. Spent time going over how the filter worked and how best to maintain furnace. I very good experience!!

I have had my heating and cooling systems at several different homes serviced by Jacobs over the years and I’ve always been very happy with their services. Today, Kellan came out to service the heat pump at my new home and as usual, the service was thorough, efficient, and Kellan was very helpful in showing me how to change and clean the filters and writing down the ID number for the filter so I can purchase a new one when needed. Highly recommend!

Bryan D came out over Labor Day weekend. Our heat pump had stopped working, with temps predicted to be 100 degrees or higher. With a 90 year old in the house, the lack of cooling would be worse than uncomfortable -- perhaps deadly. Bryan was cheerful, funny, great at communicating what he was up to, and FIXED the problem. He also gave me some tips on how to help our heat pump work well. Bryan is WONDERFUL, and Jacob's looks to be a great company!! We signed up for a maintenance check and intend to use them for all our HVAC needs. Thanks, Bryan!

I just want to say what an outstanding job Jeff did to get my furnace up and running in the snow storm. Jeff explained what needed to get done, he was professional, communicated what the issue so service. He was honest and polite. A thank you to Jeff for doing a great job! A thank you goes to Molly too. She was very helpful in letting me know when Jeff was to arrive.

We had great service from Bryan. He did a bit of troubleshooting; answered our many questions; restored heat and taught me how to work the thermostat programming. He was patient and informative. Thanks to Bryan and to Jacobs Heating.

We had a 1999 AC unit that was finally on its last leg. I contacted Jacob's Heating & Air Conditioning to look at it and they confirmed it was time to replace. Diego Ortiz was professional and informative why the unit was needing a replacement: R22, possible leak, etc.. We scheduled a sales call with James Lebreton and this guy was exactly what you want with a salesman. Easily could upsell me with components and features I could never use unless I was installing all new system. He guided us to the best options for our current situation and we signed on the dotted line. From there Michelle scheduled us, Sean came out and did the measurements and created the plan for the installer. I needed this installation done by a certain day as I was having surgery and didn't want a 100 degree day in an unconditioned house! The installation was the best, the 100 degree days came and Diego Jimenz arrived, by himself, and worked a long day until he provided my family with working air conditioning before leaving for the day. On the second day he finished up and then found a air leak. After having his van all packed up he unloaded and went to work to find the leak. Having to tear the entire furnace apart he found the hole created by a bad alignment by the old furnace and the new evap base. He filled that in and re-checked. All completed his job was done. What an awesome experience Jacob's Heating and Air!!! Looking forward to more years of service ahead -- KC

End-to-end, such a positive experience working with Jacobs Heating & Air Conditioning. They installed a heatpump in my home, retrofitting with a gas furnace we already had. Both Cody and Jason were professional, hardworking and friendly. Jessica, the sales person I first met with, really listened to me and gave us a choice of proposals that fit our needs in a creative way. Michelle in the office saved the day twice by coordinating with the installers when our old thermostat decided not to shut off right after they left (this was due to old wiring, and not a mistake on the part of Jacobs installers). It's human that things sometimes go wrong. What you do to fix the snafus is what sets Jacobs apart. Excellent customer service!

Jacobs installed a heat pump and splitters for us and the entire process was extremely professional with all those we dealt with - office staff, field supervisor, and the installers. Everything was well explained to us and the installers showed up at the times they stated. Our old furnace was in the attic and had to be removed so that added an extra complication. Our three installers were Walter, Diego, and Tony and we were very happy with all of them and their work. Walter took pictures as the work went along and showed them to us (very helpful as we couldn't get up to the attic to inspect it ourselves). Thanks to Walter, Diego, and Tony for all their hard work!

We've never had A/C before, but after several warm summers we finally decided to add it to our HVAC system. Our installer from Jacobs was Jason, and we feel thoroughly fortunate that he's the one who worked on our project. Jason has an amazing attention to detail and quality, all of which shows in the craftsmanship of the installation. Moreover, he is professional, communicative, thorough, and kind. Whatever reservations we may have had about this addition to our home have disappeared after this installation experience. We cannot recommend Jason more hightly.

Beyond the installation itself, every interaction in this process was handled with care by the friendly staff at Jacobs, from the original quote, to the inspection, to the scheduling. We have used Jacobs for several years for furnace maintenance, and they have always made us feel like a priority. Sticking with them for A/C was absolutely the right decision, and we plan to continue using their services long into the future because of experiences like this. We definitely recommend saving time in the decision-making process and going with Jacobs.

The day before my daughter’s graduation party my ac stopped working. Temps expected in the 90’s for the party. Called Jacob’s and an awesome tech Christian came right over. He diagnosed the problem quickly and got me back up and running. He saved the grad party. Thank you soo much.

Brian D came out and replaced our old condensate pump and found a failing capacitor and replaced that (20+ year old Trane gas furnace with AC. He tested and checked the AC so we’re hopefully good to go this summer. Service was courtesy, professional and timely. Thank you Brian and thank you Jacobs!

We really appreciated Chris’s professionalism today when he installed our AC. We are new homeowners and he took the time to explain how to efficiently use the air as well as how to maintain the system. I felt I could trust his expertise. So far, the system is working great. I appreciated his clean up and how tidy the install looks. Will definitely be using the company again!

John, Brendan, and Bob have been so great to work with. The team replaced our 25+ year old furnace with a new hvac, at a very competitive price and in such an efficient way. All three were just kind, communicative, and hard working people.

John also installed new duct work in a bathroom we are renovating, working hard to get the project done before inspections and other stages by our general contractor.

We will 100% be using them in future and couldn’t recommend them more.

From start to finish the Jacobs Heating team have been great. We did a lot of research, checked Oregon CCB info, and are happy we decided to have Jacobs replace a 30 year old furnace and water heater, add AC, and replace very old venting and roof vents. They had competitive pricing and communicated quickly. They were also diligent about communicating all aspects of the job before and during, and cleaned up the job site at the end of every day. Having a city inspector tell you that they did an exceptional job was a nice bonus.

I first called a competitor that sounds like a ship for astronauts. They came out and charged me for fixing issue ... never fixed it. Called them back and a manager came out and said we needed a new ac unit. Didn't seem right.

Called Jacobs heating & AC. They sent Emma out. She cleaned things up and found the problem right away. $175 vs $12,000. So glad we had Jacobs heating and ac come out!!

We are now two furnace systems with Jacob's and added central A/C last year; would not consider another HVAC? They have been responsive and professional even in the direst of circumstances (heat or cold) Two thumb's way up! Thank and Bless you Jacob's, The Osborne's of Sherwood

On a Friday afternoon around 5, I discovered our AC had stopped working. The house was 83 degrees. I called around and everyone told me they'd be there on Monday. I was looking forward to a long, miserable weekend until Chase from Jacobs called me back. He said he had a job in Portland but he'd call me after that. As promised, he called around 8 and said he'd be there in 30 minutes. He arrived, quickly found the problem, and fixed it, explaining what he was doing every step of the way. Then, although it was Friday night, he took the time to clean the coils of my AC and do other maintenance tasks, including some on the furnace. He was so nice and polite and hardworking. I was incredibly grateful that he was willing to come out and make sure we had a working AC. Great company!
