Kismet Design - Erin Marshall

About the business:

Kismet Design opened it's doors in 1997 after Erin Marshall, (owner and sole operator) quit the advertising business and bought her first house. "I loved the immediate gratification seeing a space come to life, with a few well considered changes."
I re-habed seven houses of my own and earned my stripes doing much of the work myself. I demolished walls, re-designed kitchens, added bathes and windows, painted, re-roofed, carpeted, sanded floors and hired an army of sub-contractors.
Along the way, I specified products and found out which ones work better than others.
I have a degree in graphic design and am a good visualizer. I know what it feels like to be the client. I know the stress of financing big construction projects and I understand that time is money.
That said, I love helping people turn houses into homes that fit their needs, reflect their personalities and shelter their dreams.
