About the business:

Marbott's Greenhouse & Nursery began as a humble flower stand serving the city's rapidly growing neighborhoods during a time of industrial expansion. For over nine decades and across three generations of family ownership, we've remained steadfast at our original location, growing alongside Portland while preserving our urban growing tradition.

What started as a single stand has blossomed into eleven greenhouses, with both the original flower stand and family home still standing on our property… living monuments to our enduring commitment to the community. As Portland has evolved, we've maintained our place as a green sanctuary in the urban landscape, passing down growing knowledge, customer relationships, and a passion for plants through three generations of family stewardship.
